"Are you lost?" Li Qinqin asked him who looked lost in her eyes.
"...I think so" he said.
"I see Where are you trying to go? I will bring you there if it is not too far away from my Sect," said Li Qinqin.
Tian Yi's eyes shone upon hearing the word 'sect'. "You are a disciple of a Sect?" he asked her.
Li Qinqin nodded with a somewhat bittersweet smile.
"Is there something wrong?" Tian Yi asked her after noticing her bitterness.
"It is nothing," she replied. "So? Where are you trying to go?" she then asked him again.
Tian Yi made a pondering expression. "I do not have a clear destination as I am traveling around the world aimlessly," he said after some time.
"You are a traveler?" Li Qinqin said with surprise alongside admiration.
Tian Yi nodded, unaware of the fact that only the most confident cultivators in this world would dare to travel aimlessly in this unknown world filled with mysterious oddities and profound places.
"You must be either very confident or a fool to travel this world without a clear goal," she said.
Tian Yi smiled at her words, and he suddenly said, "Do you think I can visit your Sect? It's always been a dream of mine to see what it looks like from the inside."
Li Qinqin thought about his request for a moment before nodding. "Visitors are rare occasions since not everyone can bring them, but I am in a special position. Although I planned on never using this advantage given to me, I will use it for the first time as a thank you for the pill. But of course, something this small still cannot fully compensate for the pill."
"You do not have to worry about the pill" he said.
Li Qinqin frowned. "You are a really humble one, aren't you? Very well. If you insist that I do not have to repay you, then I will not be humble."
Tian Yi, who had expected her to be stubborn like Yu Bing, nodded with a smile.
"Follow me. I will take you to my Sect,' said Li Qinqin as she started limping towards the direction of her Sect.
Tian Yi raised an eyebrow at her actions, wondering if she will really walk back like that.
And after a few minutes of walking, Tian Yi's wonder turned into surprise. Li Qinqin really planned on walking back with injuries like that! To think she'd be so resolute to temper herself why?
"What does not healing your injuries have to do with tempering yourself?" he suddenly asked her out of curiosity.
Li Qinqin turned to look at him, and said, "I am tempering not only my cultivation but also my fleshy body! And in order to train my fleshy body, I have to endure pain."
Tian Yi looked at her weirdly. Although it was true that in order to train one's fleshly body, they have to undergo training that stresses out their fleshly body to learn to tolerate the stress, but what Li Qinqin was doing is just ignoring serious injuries that could potentially damage her body permanently. Properly training one's body and refusing to heal her injury after getting beat like a dog is two different things.
Which incompetent person had taught her how to cultivate her fleshy body like this? Tian Yi could not help but sigh at her pointless efforts.
"I will help you walk," he walked beside her and said.
Li Qinqin narrowed her eyes to stare into his, looking as though she was pondering something.
"Un." Seeing there were no ulterior motives in his eyes with the only thing there being pureness, she nodded after a moment of silence.
Tian Yi then allowed her to wrap her arms around his shoulder, and he supported her by the waist as they walked.
During their walk, Tian Yi would secretly heal Li Qinqin her injuries, and Li Qinqin, feeling her pain disappear, was bewildered.
'Did my fleshly body breakthrough from the fight with the Giga Frog?' she could not help but wonder.
The walk back to Li Qinqin's Sect was decently far, taking the two over half a day just to reach it.
Tian Yi now stood in front of a large gate with two guards standing there.
The two guards' widened their eyes upon seeing Li Qinqin and her bloodied robe, unaware that her internal injuries had been healed long before arriving.
"S-Senior apprentice-disciple Li! Where did you get those injuries?!" they asked her in a weird tone.
Li Qinqin snorted at their show of concern, and said, "Mind your own business!"
Li Qinqin's sudden change in attitude caused Tian Yi to look at her weirdly. Why was she being so rude to them who showed concern for her injuries?
"Let's go, Meng Yi," Li Qinqin said to him as she walked through the gates without giving a look to the guards that were currently expressing anger.
Tian Yi nodded, and he followed her.
However, when he got close to the guards, they pointed their spears at him, shouting, "You are not a disciple of this sect! Who are you?!"
"He is a visitor of mine!" Li Qinqin frowned at their actions.
"B-But senior apprentice-sister Li, you do not really have the qualifications to"
"Did you forget who my sister is?!" Li Qinqin said to them with a cold expression, causing the two guards to tremble.
The two guards were not afraid of Li Qinqin, but the 'sister' that she had mentioned.
"P-Please enjoy yourself" The two guards instantly stepped aside to let Tian Yi enter, dumbfounding him.
He now wondered if Li Qinqin's sister was some high-standing member of this Sect. Maybe her sister was the Sect Master? Perhaps an Elder?
Tian Yi continued to ponder as he walked past the guards that were staring daggers at him.
After Tian Yi and Li Qinqin's shadow could no longer be seen by the guards, they began cursing out loud.
"Pei! Who does she think she is?! Just because her sister is a genius does not make her a genius, too!"
"To think she'd use her sister's name something that she despised to even think of for that young man! What is their relationship?"
"If it weren't for her sister, she wouldn't even be a disciple of this sect, let alone enjoying so many benefits that the rest of us normal disciples would never have!"
"Fuck! Every time I see her, my mood becomes irritated!"
"It'd been better for both the sect and her sister if she died from her injuries!"
The two guards cursed Li Qinqin nonstop behind her back.
Li Qinqin, a normal disciple with no worthy talent, was able to enter the sect without any effort because of her sister who was a cultivating genius, allowing her to gain benefits that others could only dream of, and this fact angered countless disciples who had to prove themselves just to join!
