Xiao wiped his bloody face with his bloody sleeves, smearing the blood around like paint.
His eyes wide with shock and disbelief, he stuttered, "Y-Y-Y-Y-You"
What kind of strength did this ordinary-looking young man display?
Forget about Immortal Realm experts, even Sovereign Realm experts may not be able to do what he just did!
Tian Yi waved his sleeves, and the fog of blood disappeared alongside the wind, even cleaning Xiao and the carriage in the process.
He then jumped back onto the carriage and checked on Meng Xiang's condition.
She had fainted from terror, something he did not expect.
With a bitter smile, Tian Yi tapped on her forehead with a golden glow on his fingers, giving her a dream filled with happiness.
"Senior, let us continue our journey."
Tian Yi's words awoken Xiao who slowly nodded, looking like he was still dazed.
Jumping back onto the driver's seat, Xiao steered the reins once again, the horses walking a bit wobbly at first.
If it weren't for the horses fearing for its lives if it moved, it would have already run as far away as possible.
Xiao's forehead was still filled with cold sweat as they silently traveled the remaining miles which would end up taking a few more days.
Meng Xiang woke up an hour after the event, her expression filled with happiness, totally forgetting about the horror she'd witnessed.
"Big Brother! I met with His Highness, again!" she told him with an enthusiastic voice.
"Hm? Really? What did he look like?" he smiled when he saw hers.
"I could not see his face because it was blurred out, but we played games again!"
"Oh, really? Did you have fun?"
"Yes!" She nodded happily. "It was very fun! His Highness took me on another adventure!"
This time she saw the starry sky, one filled countless profound entities.
Shooting stars, divine beings larger than even some stars in size, weird phenomenon, and a whole lot more.
A weird expression hung on Xiao's face as he listened to Meng Xiang narrate the story of the adventure in her dreams with detailed descriptions, as though she had been there and actually saw it for herself.
If Xiao didn't know any better, he would have definitely believed her story to be something that actually happened!
"There was this big swan who carried us from the ground to the stars!"
"Then I saw this person punch a star, and the star turned into dust!"
"His Highness also drew a picture on the moon with a sword!"
Meng Xiang spoke of the things she saw in her dreams; things so unbelievable even immortals would laugh it off as a dream within a dream.
Tian Yi, however, listened to her story from beginning to the end with a gentle smile on his face.
He would nod every once in a while, even saying things like "That sounds fun," and "If only I was there".
After her story ended, Meng Xiang rubbed her stomach. "I am hungry" she said, blushing.
"Here you go" Tian Yi pulled out a little pouch and retrieved a whole batch of chicken on a stick as if there was a whole other dimension inside the pouch.
The little pouch was a Storage Pouch, a treasure with its own dimension and space that allows the user to put objects larger than the pouch itself inside.
There are many different types of Storage Pouches; some with larger space than others while some may have special effects within that space, such as an effect that would never allow anything inside to rot or lose temperature, as though time was frozen inside.
"I bought enough for our journey." Tian Yi said, and Meng Xiang recalled how he had assisted every food stall to close down early for the day by emptying their stock with Caiyi's money, of course.
The two began eating chicken on a stick and steamed buns, and Xiao couldn't help but turn around and look at them with wide eyes.
'This monster just brutally killed so many people and is in the mood to eat chicken on a stick as though nothing happened?! Truly a monster!' he cried inwardly.
He has seen a lot of brutalities throughout his cultivation journey, but what he witnessed today had toppled all of those experiences like a mountain falling onto small boulders.
To think he'd get to see a human body getting turned into a fog of blood with a mere sleeve wave; it was something he didn't even know was physically possible.
What kind of Spirit Arts did he use in the end to cause the bandits to scream like that?
Was it some kind of Demonic Spirit Arts?
A curse on their souls?
Xiao suddenly shivered thinking of the screams the horrifying screams that are now deeply engraved in his mind.
After eating their full, Meng Xiang brought back up the topic of cultivation.
"Big Brother, I would like to try cultivating now," she said to him with pleading eyes.
And Tian Yi nodded.
"Good. Since this is your first time cultivating, you have to open up your Dantian first."
"What is a Dantian?"
Tian Yi pointed to her stomach where her belly button was at. "Your Dantian rests in here. Try to feel it."
Meng Xiang was puzzled at his words.
How does one feeling their Dantian?
Clueless at his instructions, Meng Xiang started rubbing her stomach as though she had a full stomach.
"I don't feel anything," she suddenly said, causing Xiao who was listening to nearly fall off the carriage.
Tian Yi's smile stiffened.
He didn't think teaching someone else cultivation would be so difficult, even though it seemed so easy when his father taught him.
