Chapter 1921: Ident.i.ty
Hua Yu knew what he was asking for was a little too much. They were the ones who were taking the Snow Fungus from her and she was already kind enough to be willing to give them a portion of it. Why would she want to let them take whatever they needed first before giving the rest of it to her?
But as they really did not know how much of the Snow Fungus was needed to cure the Patriarch, they needed to bring the whole thing back to ascertain that.
They waited for a while for her reply and just as they thought that Sima You Yue would not agree to it, she nodded her head and said: “It just happens that I do not have anything much to do now, I will go with you and see what will unfold.”
The Hua Clan’s people were already not holding much hope and thought that they would die here today. Never had they thought that things would take such a huge turn where they were saved and she even agreed to give them some of the Snow Fungus.
Hua Yu had been injured quite severely and had been holding out just by his willpower alone. Having gotten an affirmative answer from her, the stretched and taut nerves that had been barely propping him up immediately loosened, and he fell into a dead faint.
“Uncle—”
Hua Yuan grabbed him in support and the others quickly rushed over to surround him, immediately feeding him with some elixirs.
Sima You Yue remained standing at the side, not intending to go up to help. The Hua Clan was quite an established family and their elixirs gave quite good effects. In a short while, Hua Yu started to stir awake.
“Uncle, how are you feeling?” Hua Yuan asked anxiously when she saw his eyes open.
“I’m fine. Hurry up and go pick the Snow Fungus so that we can return back to save the Patriarch as soon as possible.” Hua Yu’s voice was weak, but his breathing had become a lot more steady.
Hua Yuan got people to hold Hua Yu up as she took out a jade box and a pair of jade scissors to cut off the Snow Fungus Bloom, before she placed it carefully into the jade box, which she then showed to Hua Yu.
“Well done. You cut it off nicely.” Hua Yu’s face broke into a smile. “Let’s go back now.”
“But you’re injured…..”
“It doesn’t matter. Saving the Patriarch is more important.” Hua Yu replied. He was going to seek Sima You Yue’s opinion on the matter when he saw her digging out the Snow Fungus’ roots.
That’s like plucking feathers off a pa.s.sing goose. So pragmatic that she wasn’t even going to leave its roots behind?
The people from the Hua Clan followed Hua Yu’s gaze and saw Sima You Yue standing over there with her hands filled with dirt. She was already holding its roots in her hands and she had a relieved smile on her face.
Hua Yu actually wanted to tell her that the Snow Fungus’ roots was rather useless but seeing that she had already kept it away, he swallowed back the words that were at already at the tip of his tongue.
She had already been willing to give them a part of the Snow Fungus so there wasn’t much he could say at that moment. Since she liked the root so much, she can have it, but he hoped that she wouldn’t get disappointed when she comes to discover that it wasn’t really of any much use in future.
What the Hua Clan’s people did not know was that Sima You Yue had not kept the root away for nothing, but had tossed it to give it to Little Spirit, as Little Spirit said that Snow Fungus would grow if they planted the root in the Spirit Soul Tower.
Hua Yu stood up and turned to say to Sima You Yue: “We will make our way back now. Do you have anything else you need to do here?”
“No, I don’t. If you can walk, we can leave now.” Sima You Yue replied.
“Then let’s get on our way now.” Hua Yu was the most senior here. When he insisted on leaving, the others would naturally have no objection. “Oh right. I’ve yet to ask for our benefactor’s good name.”
Sima You Yue had already turned herself around to walk away when she heard the voice sound out behind to ask. Without even turning her head back, she replied: “My name is Sima You Yue, and the others with me are my friend.”
“Si… Sima You Yue? Isn’t that…”
“The Hua Clan’s people were stunned in a daze, unable to move as they stood frozen in their spots.
“You… You are the Young Princess?” Hua Yuan stuttered in horror as she stared at the woman’s back. Recalling how disrespectful she had been just now, panic immediately started to rise up in her heart.
“Let’s go. I do not have so much time to spend waiting for you.” Sima You Yue walked over to Wu Ling Yu and the others, and Wu Ling Yu then smoothly slipped his hand over hers.
“Are you able to break the array?” Sima You Yue asked.
“You don’t want to take the original path?” Wu Ling Yu saw her nod, and he gathered up his spirit powers to give the array a single strike, immediately creating an opening.
Sima You Yue and the others flew up towards it. When the Hua Clan’s people saw that, they quickly went to follow behind them. After everyone was out, the array closed itself up automatically.
“You have your own flying beasts?” Sima You Yue asked Hua Yuan.
Hua Yuan nodded. “Yes, we do.”
Sima You Yue turned her gaze onto Mo Yu, and then said smilingly: “Mo Yu, summon the little red bird won’t you? It’s more comfortable riding it.”
“You have so many flying beasts yourself, yet you keep wanting to ride on the little red bird.” Although Mo Yu grumbled at her, he still summoned the little red bird for her.
When the Hua Clan’s people heard Sima You Yue call Mo Yu’s name, they had thought that it was just someone else with the same name. But when they saw the flamboyant little red bird, they were immediately certain that that person was the great and famous Lord Mo Yu!
With Sima You Yue ill.u.s.trious ident.i.ty right before them, they had no reason to doubt Mo Yu’s ident.i.ty at all. But never would they have expected that someone as legendary as him would appear before their eyes, almost causing their tiny hearts to explode.
They let the Hua Clan’s people lead the way, while the little red bird leisurely took them to come to the Western Verge City in the Western Verge Region.
That was not to say that the Hua Clan’s people were slow, but compared to the speed that the little red bird was capable of, it was rather slow.
Arriving outside the Western Verge City, Mo Yu kept the little red bird away, or they would attract a heap of trouble onto themselves when they went into the city.
“Young Princess, Lord Mo Yu, let Yuan’er bring you to the biggest inn in this city.” Hua Yu said to them.
“There’s no need. We’ll just follow you to your residence.” Sima You Yue replied.
“Please come this way then.”
Over the past few days making their way back, Hua Yu had recovered quite a bit from his injuries, and he looked almost back to normal, not knowing that he had gone one round at h.e.l.l’s Gate.
Sima You Yue and the others followed them back to the Hua Manor, which was located right at the city center, which showed their status here in the Western Verge Region.
“Hua Yu, Hua Yuan, you’ve finally returned. Did you manage to find the Snow Fungus?” A man in deep blue robes who looked very much like Hua Yu b.u.mped into them at the manor’s main doors immediately asked anxiously.
“We found the Snow Fungus, but we ran into some problems along the way.” Hua Yu replied. “Big Brother, how’s the Patriarch?”
“Teetering on the brink. Since the Snow Fungus has been found, go deliver it to them quickly!” Hua Xing’s face was grim, and it was feared that the situation was not optimistic.
“Yuan’er, deliver the Snow Fungus over to the Lord.” Hua Yu said.
“Yes, Uncle.”
“I’ll come along.” Sima You Yue requested.
A large portion of the Snow Fungus belonged to her, and if it was squandered away by ignorant people, that would not be good for her.
Hua Yu was not aware of the thoughts in her mind but because of her ident.i.ty, he got Hua Yuan to bring her along.
Hua Xing looked at their backs as they grew smaller into the distance before he asked: “Hua Yu, there people are?”
“Big Brother, that is the Young Princess and Lord Mo Yu…”
“What did you say?” Hua Xing was greatly shocked by the news. “Why would the Young Princess and Lord Mo Yu come here to our manor?”
“Many things happened on this trip. If not for the Young Princess, all of us would have been killed by Wei Xing.” Hua Yu told his elder brother. “There is also something else I need to tell you. It concerns the Wei Clan and the Zheng Clan.”
“Then we’ll better gather all the Elders first. While you were away, things happened here in the clan as well. We’ll discuss everything together.”
…
When Sima You Yue saw the Hua Clan’s Patriarch, she could not help knitting up her brow. He seemed to look a little strange. She gave Mo Yu a glance, and Mo Yu was thinking the very same thing as well.
