Chapter 3 Part2

Chapter 3.2

For a moment, time seemed to stop and I forgot to breathe. I could only stare in shock at the words spilling from his lips.

“You might not be able to use your hands anymore…”

Hearing his quivering voice, I sighed in disbelief.

“This isn’t funny. I would’ve believed it if you had said I was in a coma. To be unable to use my hands, what a joke.”

“Oh, so you know?”

“Is it that fun to play such a cheap prank on a sick person, you b.a.s.t.a.r.d?”

I grabbed the pillow behind me and threw it at his face. w.a.n.g Ho grimaced at the impact of the cus.h.i.+on.

“But it is true that you’re not well, there are ulcers on the inner walls of your stomach. Some are as large as a quail egg.”

“Are you exaggerating again? The size of an egg…”

Suddenly, a pinch of pain struck my abdomen. I rubbed the area a bit and tried to ignore the sensation.

“So, what happened to the meeting? Did anything significant happen to the scene we were discussing?

“Well, the shooting for the scene should be over now? Due to your condition, you’re on sick leave and take a break from writing the script.”

“What about the rest of the episodes? I have not finished the script for the upcoming episodes.”

w.a.n.g Ho scratched his head and replied.

“You’re not going to believe this. Don’t get shocked or do any rigorous movement.”

“What are you talking about?”

“It’s Jung Hwanwoo. Honestly, although he is an a.s.shole, he has been tolerable lately. I know you’re not going to believe me, but you know how the filming crew can be. It’s shocking, really. This has nothing to do with the drama, by the way.”

“Are you speaking some alien language? I don’t understand what you’re trying to say.”

“You’ve been asking for information, so listen carefully, alright? Immediately after you fell down, he carried you to a sofa and called an ambulance. When the emergency crew came, he followed them to the hospital and watched you for most of the day. His manager was barely able to pull him out of this room as he was scheduled to film a commercial. This sounds unbelievable, right? But this is the truth,”

In disbelief, I stared at w.a.n.g Ho and a.n.a.lyzed his words carefully. Was I still in the dream? That was impossible, as that would mean Jung Hwanwoo was nude and embracing me from behind… this means that he was worried about me in the real world. Not just dream Jung Hwanwoo, but even the real Jung Hwanwoo cared for me?

“Do you expect me to believe your words?”

“I’m not joking this time.”

It seemed like w.a.n.g Ho wasn’t lying, especially since there was no reason to state this type of lie. This lie was not as humorous as the other. Then why would he say this? It can’t be?

“Why?”

“Why? I guess he felt guilty because of your words. Before you fainted, you muttered some words that may have impacted him.”

“My last words before I fainted? What did I say?”

“Ahahaha, you said the most hilarious thing ever. I’m not exaggerating this at all. Right when he a.s.sisted you, you pointed at him and blamed him with these words. ‘I’m like this because of you, you buffoon!’”

Hearing these words, I couldn’t believe I had called Jung Hwanwoo a buffoon.

“Did… did I really say that?”

“Of course! You said it very clearly to him, everybody heard it.”

“So… Everyone knows?

“Yes! Don’t think about it too much. However, Choi Su Hyung admired the boldness of your statement. Did you mean to say this to Jung Hwanwoo?”

“Are you sure...”

Confusion racked my brain, inducing a thundering headache. I clutched my head in stupor, the gall I had to blame Jung Hwanwoo in real life…

‘I’m crazy, I’m pure crazy… how could I pridefully point at Jung Hwanwoo and blame him for the stomach ulcers? Getting ulcers is common in the script writing field, so accusing him would seem illogical to others. Ahhhhhh, I wish that the dream and real world scenarios were flipped! Wait, wouldn’t that mean I would roll in the sheets with him in real life? That… I…. Ahhhhhhhhh!’

“Why do you look so distressed? I’m glad you voiced out his involvement. Think of the event as an example that us writers aren't machines. Once pushed past our limits, we will crash. This is a good alarm for other drama teams that think we are automatic writing machines. Good job, Kyujin,"

“I’m scared.”

Hearing my fear, he shook his head and opened his mouth. Suddenly, someone knocked on the door and we turned our heads to look towards the door.

“Who is it?”

w.a.n.g Ho stood up, opened the door, and covered the guest slightly. He stepped back, allowing me to see who came to visit. My eyes widened at the sight of the man’s face.

‘Why is he here?’

Translator’s Note:

Did the last chapter shock y’all? Lol, sorry if it did. The ending of this chapter though, who do y’all think visited Kyujin?
