Tang Zhan did not know what gave Xiang Shaoyun the confidence, but he did not think that Xiang Shaoyun stood a high chance of success. That was why he was trying hard to persuade Xiang Shaoyun to wait.

Devouring Ghost was the grand sect master, and the people here were familiar with him. Nobody would dare to get in his way. He accompanied Xiang Shaoyun, Tang Zhan, and Tuoba Wan'er all the way to the main hall. Along the way, Tuoba Wan'er grew even more confused as to what was going on, but she suppressed her doubt. She knew that Xiang Shaoyun would give her a proper explanation later. 

In recent years, Green Ghost had remained in the sect. Thus, he was able to come out the moment Xiang Shaoyun arrived. In truth, he was still doubtful that Xiang Shaoyun was the reincarnation of Xiang Dingtian. In fact, he inwardly viewed Xiang Shaoyun with disregard. If it wasn't for his master, he wouldn't have bothered to meet Xiang Shaoyun. After all, the gap between the two in terms of strength was too wide.

But when he finally saw Xiang Shaoyun, astonishment filled his eyes. The governor was actually standing beside Xiang Shaoyun. Green Ghost had initially thought that Tang Zhan was either here for him or under Devouring Ghost's invitation. Thus, he was surprised to learn that Tang Zhan was actually here because of Xiang Shaoyun.
