"I married him because I wanted to," she countered with a steely expression as if daring the other to oppose. When he didn't, she pointed back at the couch. "Sit back down Ian," she ordered as she s.h.i.+fted on her seat and sighed.
"Ian, regardless of my reasons, I think it's none of your business anymore," she said a matter-of-factly and the other man flinched as if struck. "Now, tell me, what are you doing here?"
Silence hung between them for several seconds before Ian spoke again. "My wife died…"
Jae raised her brows, her eyes wide. "Well, I'm sorry to hear that."
Beyond Ian's playfulness, Jae knew that he wasn't all that bad and so she still felt sympathy for him in spite of everything. After all, if Ian hadn't been a jerk, Jae wouldn't have met Yunho and he wouldn't have the family she had now. "Did Yunho know about it?"
Ian nodded. "I came to his office the other day," he answered and Jae's breath hitched up her throat.
She was panicking again. Her baby felt her fear too for he started s.h.i.+fting inside of her and Jae couldn't do anything but rub her abdomen to calm the two of them down as Ian continued to speak.
"He thought you still can't remember so he didn't want me to come here."
"Then why did you?" Forgetting her sympathy, Jae narrowed her eyes on her ex once more.
"Well, like I told you, I just lost my wife. I don't have any family left, you know. I only have Yunho and Ji Hye, but they didn't want me to come here for a visit when you might remember me anytime. But I really want to fix things so I thought I would make you remember me and perhaps…forgive me. I really want to be a part of this family again."
Jae studied Ian's face for a while. He sounded so sincere and it would be harsh if she didn't let him come back to his own family. She wasn't the kind of person who kept grudges. She didn't hate him anyway. Too bad for Jae though. Accepting Ian back into the family meant she had to come clean to Yunho, to tell him the truth. After all, playing the amnesiac was also tiring. So yes, she would let Ian back as long as he behaved.
"You're welcome to visit," Jae told the man and Ian's face visibly brightened.
"Thanks!" The half-American playboy gave her his most charming smile and Jae scowled. She didn't like where that smile was going, and she was right.
"I'll come and visit all the time and perhaps we could, you know…reminisce about the past."
He looked at him suggestively and Jae saw red. The perverted b.a.s.t.a.r.d was. .h.i.tting on her. Without thinking, Jae grabbed the nearest object which happened to be an ashtray and flung it towards Ian.
"Ow!" Ian quickly covered his mouth where he got hit and glared at Jae. "I was just jesting!" he protested as he spat a piece of enamel which was one of his front teeth.
Jae could see blood but it was so little that she didn't think she caused an alarming injury. The b.a.s.t.a.r.d got his just desserts.
"You broke my tooth. What happened to your sense of humor?"
"I'm pregnant. You figure that out," Jae glared back and decided to give Ian a lecture. "You are welcome to visit but you keep your hands to yourself. Do your hanky-panky outside. I don't want my son witnessing your pick up lines," she said sternly. "Also, you wait 'til I talk to my husband about this, okay? Yunho still doesn't know I've recovered my memories."
"Ha! So you're lying to him too. You two really belong together," Ian stated grumpily and Jae smiled.
"I'll take that as a compliment. Now shoo before Yunho returns. I'm sure Ji Hye called him," she said. "We have some serious talking to do…"

"Good morning!"
Yunho's face lit up like a bulb, his chest swelling with warm emotions as the sight of his wife welcomed him. Jae was wearing an ap.r.o.n as she stood behind the stove, cooking what smelt to be bacon and eggs.
"Hi!"Jaejoong greeted back as she transferred the food onto the platter and placed it on the table where Moonbin was sitting on a highchair, a spoon and fork in each of his hand.
As soon as she did, she wiped her palms against the front of her ap.r.o.n as her husband approached and she readily anch.o.r.ed her arms around Yunho's shoulders as they shared their usual morning kiss.
"Good morning," she added with a grin when their lips parted.
"Mornin' Daddy!"
Their eldest son placed the utensils on his table and s.h.i.+fted on his chair as he raised both of his arms, asking to be lifted.
"Good morning, Binnie," Yunho greeted back as he lifted Moonbin from the highchair to hug him and then settled him against his hip as he looked for his other little angel. "Where's Mu Won?" he asked just as their six-month-old baby mewled from his cot on the side of the kitchen.
"Wonnie, you're awake now?" Jaeyoung cooed as she went to her baby.
Huge doe eyes that were so much like hers stared back at her and she couldn't help but smile tenderly as her newborn son blew raspberries at her.

"Is he hungry?" her husband asked from behind him and Jae shook her head as she lifted Mu Won up.
"I don't think so. He just fed a while ago," she answered as she walked back towards the table and placed the baby on his own highchair next to Moonbin's.
"Daddy, put me back there," Binnie pointed at his chair and Yunho obliged.
His eldest son then started making faces at his little brother and Mu Won loved it so much that he kept on squealing in delight. Yunho and Jae watched in happiness as their little angels played. With hands entwined, they glanced at each other's eyes filled with tenderness and love.
Their story started with a sin, but theirs had already been forgiven
