Chapter 275: You Are Still Little

Over the course of a meal, Yun Xiangxiang knew more about what South Africa was like from Song Mian.

She wanted to bring some souvenirs back. When they were going to have the cake, Yun Xiangxiang sang Happy Birthday to Song Mian and had him make a wish.

“I don’t make wishes. I make them come true myself,” said Song Mian.

“Oh my G.o.d, you know nothing about the little things in life. Just humour me, please?” Yun Xiangxiang threatened cutely.

Under the pressure of his girlfriend, Song Mian finally made his first birthday wish after so many years.

They would cut the cake after the wish was done. As they enjoyed the fruits of their labor, Yun Xiangxiang thought this was the world’s most delicious cake.

“Oh no, you’re not eating any more of this,” Song Mian stopped Yun Xiangxiang quickly when he saw her trying to cut another slice even after she had eaten half of the cake.

Yun Xiangxiang didn’t insist. She was full anyway. She just thought the cake tasted too good.

She put down the plate and hopped to her bedroom. She took out the gift she prepared and hid it behind her.

“Close your eyes. I have something for you,” Yun Xiangxiang went to Song Mian.

Song Mian did as she asked. Yun Xiangxiang opened the box and put it in front of him, “Okay, you can open your eyes now.”

The gentle moonlight granted its tenderness to the light around them. It was a peaceful night.

The pitch-black jadeite was polished to perfect smoothness. The auspicious clouds lay there silently and elegantly. The bracelet sat in front of Song Mian.

The mysterious jadeite was reflected in Song Mian’s eyes. He grabbed Yun Xiangxiang’s wrist and pulled her into his embrace, hugging her quietly.

That wasn’t what she expected. “You don’t like it?” Yun Xiangxiang probed.

Song Mian shook his head silently before speaking, “My silly girl, never do this again.”

Song Mian finally understood why Yun Xiangxiang went for some stone gambling. He finally realized why she was reluctant to sell the black jadeite after getting it.

She even put on a show with MonRoe. Even when she was almost killed, she didn’t want to throw it away. She just wanted to make a gift for him. A gift she thought would suit him best.

“You want to give me everything great. I felt the same for you,” Yun Xiangxiang took the bracelet and poked Song Mian’s hand.

She wanted him to raise his hand. When Song Mian did what she asked, she put the bracelet on his hand and adjusted the size to suit him.

“This is a diamond knot.” Yun Xiangxiang raised his wrist to his eye level. “Does it look nice?”

“It does.” Song Mian was impressed. No matter if it was the bracelet itself or the thought put into it, they were unique beauties.

“You have to wear them every day from now on. Whenever I’m not by your side, seeing it will be like seeing me.”

“If you are in trouble and you thought of me, remember that I am waiting for you. No matter what, you cannot let yourself get hurt, okay?” Yun Xiangxiang reminded him.

“I won’t let you become a widow,” Song Mian smiled.

Yun Xiangxiang thought that sounded familiar. She remembered she said similar things to Lu Jin and He Xingzhou during “A Gathering of Shows.””Oh, you even watch variety shows?” She asked.

“I’ll watch any show you’re in,” Song Mian kissed her face.

“If you have the time, you should continue your research and finish your business here faster,” Yun Xiangxiang glanced at him.

“I will finish everything here as soon as possible. Without overexerting myself,” Song Mian guaranteed.

She unexpectedly met Song Mian’s gaze. Yun Xiangxiang’s heart skipped a beat.

It was a beautiful night. The air was rising in heat.

They inched closer to each other. As their breaths get entangled with each other, so did their lips.

Their tongues tossed and turned, ever-moving deeper. Something was happening.

When Yun Xiangxiang’s hand touched upon Song Mian’s b.u.t.ton, he pressed her down. What Yun Zhibin said rang beside his ear again.

“My daughter is still little. We won’t stop her from dating you, but I hope you’ll take care of her for a few more years.”

“You’re still little…” Song Mian suppressed himself.

“Which part of me is little?” Yun Xiangxiang asked. She had some alcohol already. She wasn’t drunk, but she wasn’t sober either.

She looked at her chest. She wasn’t big in that department, but she wasn’t flat either.

Song Mian followed her gaze and looked at her chest. His flame of l.u.s.t was almost lit. He sighed for himself and sent Yun Xiangxiang back to her room. “Wash up and get some sleep. I’ll bring you to the winery here, and we’ll go for some abalone harvesting tomorrow.”

“Give me another gla.s.s of red wine!” Yun Xiangxiang grabbed Song Mian and requested.

Yun Xiangxiang never did like wine. The red wine here might be authentic, but it wasn’t so great that Yun Xiangxiang would fall.

It was in that instant that Song Mian knew she only wanted the iced wine. Not the red wine itself.

He poured half a gla.s.s for her in resignation and added some ice cubes. He could indulge her sometimes.

Satisfied, Yun Xiangxiang took the red wine to the shower. She bathed while sipping the cool wine.

She hummed happily. This was a great life.

The next day, Song Mian brought her to harvest some abalones first. Yun Xiangxiang took off her shoes at the beach. She held Song Mian’s hands as they strolled the sands, enjoying the ocean breeze.

Yun Xiangxiang could only do everything a couple should with Song Mian when she was overseas.

It was also because she didn’t have that much international clout. Song Mian also avoided places where there were a lot of Chinese.

They took away a couple of the biggest, most top-tier abalones. They went to a winery in the afternoon. As the car drove through the countryside, the green plains’ endless view calmed Yun Xiangxiang down.

“I heard that there’s a Sun City here?” Yun Xiangxiang overheard someone talking about it outside. They said it was a fun place.

“Is it an amus.e.m.e.nt park?” Yun Xiangxiang was curious. She also looked forward to it.

“You can call it a casino,” Song Mian explained.

“Isn’t gambling prohibited here?” She remembered that this place banned gambling.

“Only for private gambling. Sun City has a license,” Song Mian smiled. “The size of the casinos here is just second to Las Vegas’.”

But they had more going on here. They had horse racing, golf, bowling, amus.e.m.e.nt parks, and cultural performances from various countries.

Song Mian wasn’t planning on bringing Yun Xiangxiang there. There were too many Chinese there. Even Mandarin wouldn’t be a barrier there.

“Ah, the casino. I’ve never gone into one before. I wonder what it looks like.”

She had never played in any films involving gambling. She had never seen her own country’s casino, let alone the ones overseas.

“It’s not that great here. If you want to see one, I’ll bring you to Las Vegas next time. You can play all you want.”

“Aren’t you afraid I would bankrupt your family?” Yun Xiangxiang squinted. She looked quizzically at him.

Song Mian laughed softly, “I can win back all the money you lose.”
