Initially, Jason's plan had been simple.
He wanted to enter the peak of the Prismar stage before initiating the plan he and Jennifer had set up.
At the same time, Jennifer wanted to enter the Initial phase of the Ascendion stage by starting the fusion process of her soul with the three vessels she owned.
However, both tasks were something that required much more time than they had initially assumed, even after using Luna ranked techniques.
Because of that, they spent an entire year inside the elemental crystal cave, which allowed Jason to solidify the dome crystal. Meanwhile, Jennifer had been able to connect her soul to her vessel and enter the Ascendion stage.
This process took her extremely long, and Jason knew that he would require some time to reach that rank too. This was even more evident because his secondary Celestia bloodline awakening would happen.
That was something Jason could clearly sense because there was only one seal of the Chaos Emperor on his bloodline left before the second awakening could be initiated.
With that in mind, Jason was worried about possible mistakes that could happen. But at the same time, he was excited because he wanted the secondary bloodline awakening to happen as quickly as possible.
There was no need to waste any time, after all!
Unfortunately, this was easier said than done, before Jason realized that he somehow had to connect his soul world's core with his mana core.
In fact, it was necessary for him to create a thick thread of mana that would be connected to a soul thread before they would slowly come into contact with each other.
Because of that, Jason was required to liquefy mana once again.
He had hoped that the arduous process of liquefying mana was over, but that was not the case.
Rather, he required more and more, which was quite annoying.
However, his soulbonds had to do a similar process, but only Artemis and Solaris had created their dome crystal, to begin with.
As such, it would take a while before Petri, Spyro, and Sira would reach a state in which they had to connect their soul and vessel.
Jason was not sure if the connection he had with his soulbonds would cause any problems in their progress to the Ascendion stage, but he simply hoped that this would not be the case.
Otherwise, he might face quite a few issues to which he had no answers.
Yet, after considering that the soul connection he had with his soulbonds had never been an issue, Jason was able to keep his calm.
While it was important for them to cultivate, Jennifer and Jason never stopped sparring with each other.
The two of them had to practice martial art techniques, and cultivating for a year nonstop was not something for them because they didn't want their muscles to grow numb or rust.
Other than that, they had to be in their best form if a monster or other beings were to find them.
They might be attacked, which would be annoying, but at least, they would be able to protect themselves.
That was even more so the case when Jason broke into the peak of the Prismar stage because his dome crystals were four times stronger than that of the others.
Thus, even without his soulbonds' amplification, he would be strong enough to defeat someone at the Initial phase of the Ascendion stage.
With that in mind, Jason had no complaints. Now, his brute strength was greater than Jennifer's which annoyed her because she had three awakened cultivation veins, while Jason had only one.
She was supposed to be stronger, but in the end, this was not the case, and made her feel useless and weak.
Obviously, she was not weak, and by no means useless, and it was just Jason who was a cut above the rest.
However, that was not the case either, because Jason was not simply an exception.
He could be called an anomaly, while Jennifer was close behind, in face of the perception of ordinary cultivators at the Ascendion stage!
After all, Jennifer could be considered to have entered the Initial phase of the Ascendion stage not once but thrice as she cultivated in all three cultivation paths!
Her combat prowess was by no means comparable to a normal Cultivator at the Initial phase of the Ascendion stage, and Jason was fully aware of this.
Despite that, his last few years were filled with intense fights that advanced his combat awareness, overall proficiency in fighting, and an acute sense of perceiving his opponents much better.
Furthermore, he was able to see Jennifer's attacks before they even happened with the use of his blessing, and by using his curses, and Emperor Eyes, he easily defeated Jennifer.
Because of that, she felt weak, and useless, but at the same time, Jason was relentless and never stopped giving his all to fight her.
Rather, he restricted his strength in certain ways, such as not using his Emperor Eyes and curses, or deactivating the foresight blessing, while using everything else to the limit.
All of this was possible, and it was also important because he required the necessary pressure to comprehend more of the Bladed Ruyi Bang martial art technique.
At the same time, he had to figure out more about the enhancements all of his soulbonds had received in order to know their capabilities down to the finest detail.
Following that, Jason tested the enhancements and the fusion to figure out how strong he was.
However, during these times he defeated Jennifer rather easily which frustrated her more than anything.
And in the end, even if it looked like Jason used every means to strengthen himself, some might feel as if he was still holding back.
This caused her to feel depressed, and Jason was not sure what he was supposed to do about it. But then it was useless if he and Jennifer were to fight, and neither would feel a sense of pressure.
By sparring with Jennifer, he was always taking her seriously, even if it looked like he was holding back, which was not the case.
Otherwise, how were they supposed to fulfill the mission they had wanted to achieve?
In the end, there were many things they wanted to accomplish, but only a handful had to do with the Julandral region, let alone the Aeus and Devir race.
In fact, only Jennifer had some connection to both races because her parents who were still alive hailed from these two races.
Her current appearance might not look like that of a halfling, but that didn't mean she had no family.
She looked like a completely different individual owing to the Inheritance that had properly merged her constitution, leaving no space for repulsive acts of her two bloodlines.
Rather from what Jason understood, her father, a Devir that looked more like a human than some Manyrs, was a high noble of the Devir race.
Meanwhile, her mother had been a commoner born with three pairs of wings, turning her into someone with the looks, and also the talent of the Aeus race's strongest forces.
In fact, there seemed to be something unique about the fact that Jennifer's mother had six wings. And considering that she had only seen Aeus with two pairs of wings, except her own mother who had three, spoke volumes of her mother's uniqueness.
Despite that, she knew nothing, and it was only when her parents were found out to be together that Jennifer was brought to Luna, one of their closest friends.
When Jason heard this, he felt that it was even more unlikely for Luna to simply abandon Jennifer.
'MaybeLuna thought that she could prevent Jennifer from being dragged into her mess? Butthen that doesn't really make sense either'
Because of that, he couldn't help but feel that they had to stay a little bit longer in the Julandra region, even if their plans were not restricted to this region.
They had more than enough plans for accomplishing all kinds of things, and even if the Julandra region was not the only important factor, they had also come up with things they could do afterward as long as they stayed together.
The two of them didn't believe that they would separate from each other again, and they didn't even question this.
This was something that spoke volumes about their deepest emotions that had only increased in the time they were separated.
However, now that they had spent a year together, even if they focused on cultivating and sparring, it was a happy time, and both were unwilling to let it end.
