Yu Xi couldn’t help but mutter to himself: “But… You didn’t even contact me during that time…”

When Yu Xi was driving, Jian Yiling was not idle in the pa.s.senger seat either.

She took out her small laptop and placed it on her lap.

“Mhmm,” Jian Yiling replied. Her response was indifferent as usual.

Yu Xi didn’t see anything fishy about her response.

Then, Yu Xi started to ask Jian Yiling about something else: “Oh, by the way, did your brother not come back with you? Is his… Is his condition better?”

Yu Xi was close friends with Zhai Yunsheng. This meant that he could attend any party or banquet hosted by the Zhai family.

However, this was the Qin family. The Yu family was nothing in front of the Qin family.

This meant that the Qin family did not need to send an invitation to Yu Xi.

Yu Xi turned around and looked at Jian Yiling: “G.o.d Ling, do you have an invitation?”

Jian Yiling shook her head. She hadn’t received an invitation either. She had come to talk to Qin Chuan today on a whim.

Jian Yiling was dressed casually. The clothes she wore were not branded and looked cheap.

Even the clothes of the staff members that were standing at the door to check invitations seemed to cost more than hers.

A female guest who was standing behind Jian Yiling and Yu Xi shook her head and said in a serious tone:

“Little girl, you should be studying hard. Don’t think about coming to these places. This is not the place for you to be.”
