As a father, he was delighted that his daughter was loved by a highly respected man.

However, he was afraid that there was some sort of hidden conditions behind this love.

He didn’t want his daughter to become involved in business compet.i.tion at such a young age.

Master Liang smiled before he replied: “You’re too kind Mr. Jian. Miss Yiling deserves it.”

Then, he lowered his head and told Jian Yiling: “Please take a seat inside the venue.”

During the period of time that they collaborated, Master Liang had learned some of Jian Yiling’s habits.

He knew that she didn’t like to be surrounded by many people.

One could ask her academic questions. However, she didn’t like having small talk with people.

Jian Yiling nodded her head before she went inside. She found a remote corner and sat down.

Wen Nuan accompanied Jian Yiling as she headed inside. She didn’t want her daughter to be surrounded by people.

Master Liang also headed inside the venue with Jian Yiling.

He talked a while with Jian Yiling before he left. He also left his a.s.sistant to accompany Jian Yiling.

This treatment was definitely not available to other people.

Even Qin Yufan, the daughter of the Qin family from the capital, had not received such special treatment from Master Liang.

And thus, everyone’s eyes were on Jian Yiling. Everyone had different thoughts in their head.

Some couldn’t help but speculate the relations.h.i.+p between Jian Yiling and Master Liang.

An impolite and arrogant young lady, and a highly respected figure in the industry.

How could the two of them be possibly connected to each other?

He Yan looked at Jian Yiling and couldn’t help sneer. Why were people fighting over such a brat? Was she worth protecting?

What was wrong with Master Liang? What exactly was he protecting such an arrogant girl for?

Qin Yufan was also puzzled. She asked Qin s.h.i.+xuan: “Uncle, do you happen to know why Master Lian treats Jian Yiling this way?”

Master Liang was not related to the Jian family. If that was the case, why did he treat a junior with such affection and care?

This was Master Liang! Master Liang did not even have to be kind and considerate to the members of the Qin family!

Qin s.h.i.+xuan shook his head. It seemed as though he was deep in thought. “I’m not sure either. However, I heard that Master Liang has given Jian Yiling a pink diamond. But in regards to today’s situation… I don’t know the reason behind it either…”

There were many reasons why an elder would give a valuable gift to a younger generation.

Sometimes, such a gift did not mean that the person receiving the gift had any merit.

The gift was sometimes given because of the business relations.h.i.+p between the two families.

And thus, initially, when Qin s.h.i.+xuan heard about the incident, he had a.s.sumed that Master Liang had some business dealings with the Jian family.

However today, he saw how well Master Liang had treated Jian Yiling. It was different from his initial guesses.

Master Liang hadn’t even treated Jian Yiling’s parents the same way.

He only gave Jian Yiling special treatment…

“By the way, where is that expert?” Qin Yufan asked again.

The launch was about to start. However, there was still no sign of the person that everyone wanted to meet.

Qin s.h.i.+xuan looked around before he shook his head. He didn’t know about this either.

“Hmmm, maybe he’s planning to show up at the end,” Qin s.h.i.+xuan guessed.

Or perhaps the company had asked the expert to not come to the launch.

If it was him, he would not want such a person at the launch.

Most technological companies would be scrambling to get such a talented person to join them.

He knew that there were definitely people present today who had the idea of recruiting such a person.

He Yan was also searching the venue of the expert who solved the technical problem that Master Liang’s company was presented with.

However, she could not find the person either.
