With the arrival of Minhyun's next schedule, Yoona snuck out of his office down to her floor. She didn't want to distract him. After all, the company was very important to him. She should respect his values.
When she reached the floor, she met with Eunha and Lucas who were chatting about the different contacts in the company.
"I said -," Eunha said with a huff. "We should contact Ms. Choi instead of Mr. Yang. She's a lot more a.n.a.lytical and will be greater help then him."
"Yeah but Ms. Choi is a b.i.t.c.h and can I just point out that her latest project was rejected by Chae Minhyun? Mr. Yang has been on a role and he's nice."
"Actually, Mr. Yang has rumors of being two-faced! He stole ideas from another team before years ago."
A scoff escaped from his lips. Lucas crossed his arms. "You don't really believe those do you? Are you kidding me? Rumors are stupid."
Eunha leaned in closer. "But I heard it from someone really reliable! Trust me."
"Who is it then?" Lucas asked, mirroring her actions and leaning close as well. If a stranger were to pa.s.s by, it almost looked as if the two were leaning in for a kiss.
That was a funny situation to imagine. Yoona could never see them together. Her best friends were total opposites.
"I can't say," she whispered. Her cheeks blushed as she was slightly embarra.s.sed by her words. Although winning against Lucas in an argument was crucial, she couldn't spill who her gossip supplier was. It was against the social rules! In the end, with these words, she knew that it was her verbal defeat.
Lucas crossed his arms. "Right. Reliable. Well, I guess we're sticking to Mr. Yang then. You contact him."
She widened her eyes and hit him in the shoulder. "Why do I have to contact him?"
"Becauses you work under me… Also, I have other things to work on."
"But-"
Lucas stared right into her eyes with a glare. "Do it."
Eunha let out a sigh of defeat and sent him a lazy salute. "Fine."
Yoona leaned against the wall with a smile on her face. It was actually quite entertaining seeing them argue, when she didn't need to get work done with them of course. There was a light smile on her face.
"Glad to see a solution," she joked as she walked towards them.
Eunha looked up, taken aback by Yoona's sudden appearance. She put her hand on her chest. "You scared me for a second."
Lucas rolled his eyes. "How are you going to survive in this world if you get scared this easily."
"Can you not try to insult me every time I speak please?"
"Then don't give me a reason to. Duh."
Eunha let out a huff and crossed her arms, before returning her attention back to Yoona. "Anyways… Onto a more 'light-hearted' topic. How was being with your lover. Was it steamy?"
She wiggled her eyebrows in a teasing manner.
Yoona shook her head. "No. We just had a nice conversation. We aren't animals, having s.e.x every moment we get."
Lucas cleared his throat, a strange expression lifting on his face. "Too much information."
The glance Eunha sent him was almost pitiful. She knew about the crush he had on Yoona, and even if he was an a.s.shole, n.o.body deserved to hear these words from the girl they liked.
Okay. Maybe she was the reason to why the conversation started in the first place. But either way, at the moment, all Eunha could think about was his potentially broken heart.
But there wasn't anything Lucas can do but get over it. After all, who the h.e.l.l would break up with that hunky man?
Plus, that same CEO also gave her a raise and a bonus, something she was definitely not going to complain about. A boyfriend that supported his girlfriend's friends was a keeper. Eunha approved.
Attempting to change the subject she brought up herself, Eunha raised her hand to catch everyone's attention. "By the way… Since today is Yoona's first day, why not have a welcoming party?"
"On a Monday?" Yoona asked.
"Yes," Eunha said as if it was obvious. "We can't wait until the weekend, that's too late. Besides, we can just drink a litttttttle bit."
Yoona let out a chuckle. "Right. A little. Are you sure you can handle yourself."
"Positive," Eunha sang. She turned her attention towards Lucas. "Are you down?"

He ran his fingers through his hair, debating on his choices. On one hand, it was stupid to drink when he was supposed to go to work the day after. However, right now, he was really craving a nice, cold beer. Unfortunately, his cravings won over his rational.
"Alright. I'm in."
Eunha clapped her hands. "Great! Then I guess the plans are set. Let's go get hammered!"
Yoona rolled her eyes. "Oh my goodness…"
She then made eye-contact with Lucas. Both of them knew exactly what this party would entail if Eunha planned on following to her words.
Lots of karaoke and throwing up.
And a painful hangover in the morning.
They prayed that they would be able to stop this from happening.
