The days consisted with the following: Ji-ho staying at home and being tended by the doctor every day for check ups while Yoona went to school. Once these two would come home, they would usually chat and do work. Since Ji-ho had become a member of the household, the three had become very close.
Despite, Ji-ho's childish manner, Yoona had discovered a more sensible side to him. He had his serious moments, especially when he was coding on his computer. Many hours were spent with the robot mini human that Minhyun had created.
Since Minhyun didn't need to deal with the Moon group anymore, his stay at work lessened. Now, he was able to come earlier for a late dinner. In fact, Secretary Kim had made it his mission to lessen his boss's workload and proceeded to hire more trustworthy workers under their care. The three was able to spend more time with each other and although Ji-ho didn't want to admit it, he was a lot happier with Minhyun's presence.
Currently, the trio was watching a movie at the television. It was a mystery thriller about a detective who could see ghosts. Minhyun was in the middle of the two. His arm was wrapped around Yoona as she leaned her body against his. On the other hand, Ji-ho had his head against Minhyun's shoulder.
Although Minhyun wanted to push the boy off, he decided to refrain. A clear improvement compared to before.
The movie itself was fun to watch. MH had a film section of their company and this was one of the works that they had produced during the year. Technically, the movie wasn't out yet for the public eye but due to Minhyun's position, he was able to watch it with just the snap of his fingers.
The dynamic between the three while the movie played was interesting to see.
At the scary times, Ji-ho was the loudest, his squeals resembling a ten-year-old girl's.
When a death fall upon a loved character, the person with the most tears in their eyes would be Yoona. She frequently placed her sleeve against the corner of her eyes, wiping the tears away.
And the person holding the most poker-face expression throughout the whole movie was no other than Minhyun. He never once made a sound throughout the movie. In fact, it seemed as though his face was ice frozen!
Yoona was shocked to see his lack of fear.
Once the movie had finished, Ji-ho jumped out of the couch and stood up. He stretched his back and lifted his hands up. "Man. That was intense."
Yoona nodded. "It was. MH productions did a really good job."
Minhyun let out a smile. "Thank you."
"Yeah and the ghosts were so realistic. I think I'm going to get nightmares tonight."
She shuddered. "Yeah, I was scared for a lot of it. Those ghosts freak me out."
Minhyun leaned towards her ear. Seeing Yoona so vulnerable with her fears throughout the movie was cute to watch. "If you're scared. You can sleep with me tonight," he whispered.
With reddened cheeks, she hit him in the shoulder. "You animal!"
Ji-ho turned around, his eyes scanning the two. He didn't hear what Minhyun said, but he had an idea what they were talking about. The atmosphere had become warm and his mind automatically told him that it was time to stay clear. "Well anyways, I'll be the first to leave. I'm so tired! You two have whatever fun you want."
It wasn't necessarily an excuse. Lately, his body was feeling a lot heavier than before. His strength slowly fading away from his body. With that, Ji-ho left with a smile on his face. He also sent Yoona a not-so-subtle wink.
"Good night!" She replied with a smile.
Once Ji-ho was out of sight, Minhyun pursed his lips. Although Yoona seemed giddy, he could sense the sadness within her body as the boy left. Even though he could use this opportunity alone for his own needs, he decided to focus on what was important. "You've noticed right?"
"Hm? Noticed what?"
"The changes in his complexion. He's becoming skinnier and his strength is slowly going out."
Yoona gulped. She pulled Minhyun's close towards her face and hid behind his arm. "I don't want to talk about it."
She knew exactly what he was talking about. In fact, it was hard not to see the drastic changes happening in the past few days. She had expected for everything to happen but not this fast...
He stayed silent for a moment. He hugged her tightly.
"I wonder what would be the best parting gift for that boy..."
Yoona shot him a bland look. "You know what he wants."
Minhyun chuckled before quickly turning his body to a dangerous position. While Yoona was sitting on the couch, he moved in front of her, his hand pressed against the top of the couch, holding his weight. He was leaning in towards her, their faces inches apart.
Before she knew it, he gently kissed her lips.
Once the action was processed she let out a giggle. "Are you serious?"
"How about we fulfill his wish and make him an uncle?"
She laughed and cupped his cheeks. "You are absolutely crazy. Oh G.o.d."
"I'm kidding," he teased. "But i'm glad that I made you laugh."
Yoona hummed while trailing her index finger down the sides of his neck down to his collarbone. "So silly."
She grabbed his necktie and brought him forward, engulfing his lips with hers. They moved in sync and she gently brought her tongue into the mix.
The kiss was broken with Minhyun's chuckle. "And Ji-ho says i'm the h.o.r.n.y one?"
She gasped. Did he just say those words? "I am so done with you. You totally ruined the moment!"
His head moved down to her neck and he gently nipped the skin near her collarbone. "Did I really?"
Her cheeks flushed. He really knew how to bring the atmosphere to his favor.
"Okay, I lied."
"Good."
----
While the two were having their moments, Ji-ho laid silently in his bed. His eyes were staring at the ceiling, trying to get his thoughts together.
It didn't take a genius to imagine what was happening in that room. He was happy.
He'd never admit it but their happiness was important to him too.
Believe it or not, he wasn't that adamant on being an uncle. After all, Yoona was young and had her life ahead of her, she didn't need a child right now. The reason for him fooling around was for the simple reason of him wis.h.i.+ng them happiness while making a large impression in their minds.
And of course, getting a child named after him. That was definitely one of his goals.
With that thought, he grabbed a notebook from the small desk beside of his desk. He also grabbed a pen and began to write.
Time was running out. He could feel it.
