Xiang Ning’s ferocity and strength utterly shook everyone. Fang Rou took this chance to apply medicine to Li Zimo.

“Fang Rou, you’re safe! Thank goodness!” Liu Ruoxue was excited to be reunited with her.

“Who did this to you?” Fang Rou was suppressing her anger. If it weren’t for the fact that she had to treat Li Zimo, she would have rushed in to exact vengeance.

“No, my wound wasn’t because of them. It’s a long story. But why do I feel that Xiang Ning has gotten stronger? I think you did, too.” Li Zimo’s eyes were glued to Xiang Ning’s fight.

“He’s both a nine-star martial artist and spiritual cultivator, just one step away from becoming a tier two. I’m now an eight-star martial artist.”

“What! He’s that strong?!” Li Zimo couldn’t believe what he had just heard. A twin nine-star! He was practically undefeatable if his opponents were of the same tier.

“He even has two Peak Mastery level martial techniques,” Fang Rou sourly said. She was jealous of his achievements; to have two martial techniques at the Peak Mastery level at sixteen was unheard of.

After hearing that, Li Zimo was worried about Xiang Ning’s opponent. All of them had been felled by a single slash from Xiang Ning.

“I don’t think he would actually kill them, right?” Li Zimo said in concern.

“Relax, he knows how to hold back. Currently, we’re the only Qiling Academy squad left in this wilderness. The rest of them have dropped out and left,” Fang Rou said in a bitter voice.

“I… I see.” Li Zimo tried forcing a smile upon hearing that. He understood that even though it wasn’t Xiang Ning’s fault, everyone else would still blame him. After all, he was at the center of every rumor.

“But don’t worry.” Fang Rou had only muttered three words, but Li Zimo understood her intentions immediately. As long as she protected him, no one in the city would dare touch him.

“Alright Xiang Ning, I think that’s enough.” Lu Shiyu tugged at his arms. All five of his opponents were powerlessly laying on the ground.  Every single one of them had wounds on their body that would be impossible to heal in the wilderness.

“Hehe… Xiang Ning, do you think you can escape the consequences of hurting us?”

Xiang Ning glared at him and struck him in the head. A soft thud sounded and everyone held their breath.

“You’re lucky that I’m not allowed to cripple or kill you, or you wouldn’t even have the energy to talk,” Xiang Ning said in a calm voice, but everyone shuddered at the chill in his tone. Even Lu Shiyu was taken back. It was just like a scene in her previous life.

It was uncommon to find people that could provoke Xiang Ning to this degree. Zhao Huatai was one example where he had almost broken his arm, all because of his sister.

“Xiang Ning! Prepare yourself for martial court! How dare you continue hitting us even though we’ve been defeated!”

Though they said that, there was no way they could exact revenge here. It had been days since the training had started and almost all their medicine was exhausted. It would be impossible for them to stay in the wilderness anymore.

“Let’s go, we have work to do.” Xiang Ning turned to Lu Shiyu and propped Li Zimo up on the way back. “Not bad, tier one, seven-star, just one step away from eight-star.”

“Xiang Ning, I can walk by myself. Besides, I can’t walk if you keep grabbing my butt.” Li Zimo squirmed a bit.

The other three girls laughed at their tomfoolery. Their squad was reunited and whole again!

The five of them found shelter in a building. Xiang Ning took out his pills and passed them to Li Zimo. “Here, try this. It’s my special house blend.”

Li Zimo hesitated, but swallowed the pill nonetheless. He felt nothing had changed and looked at Xiang Ning with a puzzled look. He saw that Xiang Ning had passed more pills to Lu Shiyu and Liu Ruoxue. Just as he was about to rest, he suddenly felt a rejuvenating energy surge through his limbs from his dantian. He let out a big sigh as he felt his arm again, but shut his mouth when he realized that was a bit inappropriate. 

Just as he silenced himself, he heard two shameful moans from his side. Lu Shiyu put up a poker face, but she was furiously blushing. Liu Ruoxue, on the other hand, was trying to hide her face with her hands.

“Fang Rou, you knew about these pills, didn't you?”

Fang Rou suddenly felt like the ceiling was much more interesting.

“Hmph!” Lu Shiyu looked like a cat that was bullied.

“But what are these pills? To think they could immediately restore my energy. Can I have more?”

Xiang Ning waved his hands. “I don’t have any more to spare. I need to keep some in case of emergencies. Just use these stamina recovery potions.” He threw out three bottles with a faint red liquid inside. It was a common potion that could be bought for just ten dollars.

The atmosphere was relaxing, even though they were in the dangerous wilderness. Xiang Ning proposed his plans for revenge. “I have a daring plan—I wonder if all of you will follow me?”

“What a coincidence. I have the same plan.” Li Zimo slyly smiled.

“Let’s steal all of their beasts and beat them to a pulp,” the two chorused.

“I think both of them are crazy.”

“I heard nothing, and I won’t ask anything, either.”

Xiang Ning and Li Zimo stopped joking and started seriously strategizing. “We’re now in sixth place, and we only need thirty thousand dollars to surpass the fifth place. If we play fairly, there’s no way we could take first place. We’re almost out of time, so there’s only one way to do this.”

“We need to head to the center of the city. I’ve scouted and confirmed that many of the squads are moving toward the city center for the beast den and a large number of beasts.”

Everyone understood what he was trying to do.

“So we should steal their beasts. Didn’t they specifically target us? We should do the same and return the favor.” Xiang Ning smiled coldly.

“But our strength.…”

“Don’t worry, Xiang Ning alone is enough,” Fang Rou said. She knew the most about Xiang Ning after traveling with him for just three days. They had attacked everything in their way, no matter if they were in a group or alone.
