As Ye Lingling spoke, she avoided Xiang Ning’s gaze and fidgeted with her fingers. She looked very cute. “Actually, I have a job that requires the collection of sweetsops. “Shouldn’t it be time for school? Why aren’t you guys in school?” Xiang Ning casually asked. But he already guessed the answer from their reactions. 

Ye Lingling laughed, “It’s the school holidays. Now that everyone’s here, we’ll leave tomorrow. Here, let’s connect our profiles.” As she spoke, she raised her wrist and tapped her watch twice. Ye Lingling brought them to a hawker street, a practice continued from before the Great Disaster. 

“Ah, I knew it.” Ye Ming’s face fell when he saw the hawker stalls. 

“It’s fine,” said Ye Xuan. 

“Tsk, I thought we were going to Gourmet Palace.” 

“What’s good there? Don’t these meat skewers smell good to you?” Ye Lingling knocked Ye Ming’s head again. 

That reminded Xiang Ning of his sister, but he quickly dismissed the thought. He had only been away for a day, now wasn’t the time. 

Seeing how friendly the owner was, Ye Lingling must be a regular there. 

“Hahaha, Ling! You haven’t been here in a while.”

“Sis… there.” 

Ye Lingling was enjoying her beer when she turned and her face darkened. 

‘Hehe, Ye Lingling! You look like you’re enjoying your meal.” 

“Hey, you! If you aren’t here to eat, get lost!” 

“No, no, no! Uncle, please don’t be mistaken. We’re just here to ask for our money back.” The leader seemed to be cautious of the shop owner, much to Xiang Ning’s surprise. 

“Three days. We’ll pay you back with interest in three days.” 

“Hehe. Three days again? How many ‘three days’ has it been? Do you think we’re stupid? We’ll give you two days at most. If you still can’t pay us by then, hehe... you know the consequences.” The three of them glanced at Xiang Ning, then immediately left. They didn’t cause more trouble.
