Chapter 21 Coincidence

Wang Zhe smiled when he saw the new arrivals. “Xiang Xiaoyu, you can follow this sister here. Just ask her if you need anything.”

Xiang Xiaoyu looked at the smiling girl, then back at Xiang Ning. He nodded and Xiang Xiaoyu finally followed the girl into the elevator.

Wang Zhe reassured Xiang Ning. “Don’t worry, the people from the dojo are no ordinary people. That lady is actually a tier two martial artist, so no one in the dojo will bully Xiang Xiaoyu.” While he hadn’t interacted much with Xiang Ning before, there was one thing he’d learned about him in the past few days: Xiang Xiaoyu meant the entire world to Xiang Ning.

A guide led them toward the second floor, where rows of equipment were kept. ”Dear sirs, over there is the high gravity room, an excellent place for martial artists to reinforce their physical bodies as it allows you to achieve twice the results with only half the effort. Still, I recommend that you only use it for two hours every day.

“Further up another floor is the simulation capsule room, where we installed the latest model of simulation capsules, allowing you to spar with martial artists over the Battle Network.”

Xiang Ning's eyes widened as the tour continued.

After the tour, Wang Zhe paid the guide and sent him off before the two warmed up. Wang Zhe may be fat, but his posture showed that he was no pushover.

They finished their warmup after half an hour. Xiang Ning was listlessly surveying his surroundings when he locked eyes with a familiar face.

Fury Points +66

Xiang Ning looked at the increasing fury points and sheepishly rubbed his nose. Can't believe she was still holding a grudge against me. A girl was there, wearing a bright yellow exercise suit with her ponytail tied up very high, and her face was flushed but full of life—she was none other than Fang Rou from Class 2.

Fang Rou’s mood had been sour since the incident the day before. She was still infuriated. After Xiang Ning had groped her breast, she panicked and hit the surrender button before running away. She should have kept her cool and trampled him with her skills! Thus, she was barely able to contain her emotions when she saw him today.

“What’s the matter?” a young man asked her. He was wearing a black bodysuit that accentuated his muscles, and he was handsome to boot.

Fang Rou thought for a moment before telling him about everything that happened yesterday but excluded how she had been groped. She only told him that she met Xiang Ning on the Battle Network and was defeated.

The young man fell deep in thought.

Fang Rou didn’t think much and continued walking. “Come, brother, let's go to the third floor simulation capsule room.” But when she walked to the elevator, she realized that he was missing. She looked around before understanding what he was planning to do.

Xiang Ning was just about to follow Wang Zhe to the High Gravity Room when the corridor was blocked by a handsome man.

“You must be Xiang Ning?” the man asked.

“Who’re you?” Wang Zhe inquired.

“Me? I am Fang Rou’s boyfriend. You must know who Fang Rou is.” The man laughed as his eyes narrowed dangerously; he was lying about being her boyfriend.

Xiang Ning's heart leaped. She must’ve told him everything! He came for revenge.

“Yes, I know her. What is it that you want? I apologize for my actions yesterday,” Xiang Ning sheepishly said. While he didn’t have a girlfriend, he had a sister. If his sister was groped by someone, he couldn’t promise that he wouldn’t kill them.

The man was puzzled. Apologize? For what? Did he just give up? How did someone this weak even win against my sister? He scoffed at Xiang Ning for thinking that apologizing would smooth over the situation.

“There’s no need to apologize, I’m just curious how you beat Fang Rou and would like to spar with you.” He viciously smiled.

“Hold up, uncle, what’s your cultivation level? You can’t just bully us like this.” Wang Zhe was furious—this man was trying to bully Xiang Ning!

“I’m only a few years older than you! As for my cultivation, I’m a tier three martial artist,” the man arrogantly scoffed.

Wang Zhe chided him, “Tier three?! Look at you! Shame on you! Xiang Ning isn’t even a tier one martial artist and you want to spar with him? Where is your honor?” He displayed no fear, even against a tier three martial artist.

“What?! Not even a tier one?” The man was confused. His sister was a tier one, one-star martial artist, and she hadn’t won against a student who wasn’t even tier one?

“How about this—I’ll only use 20% of my strength to spar with you, what do you think?” The man was excited. He knew the full power of his sister; her swordsmanship was the best among her peers, and her Lost Mist Step technique was already approaching the Assimilation level. With her abilities, she couldn’t even win against a student who wasn’t even tier one?

That made him want to spar with Xiang Ning even more, but he still needed to teach him a lesson for laying a finger on his sister.

“Sure!” Xiang Ning agreed.

“Xiang Ning, don’t be rash!” Wang Zhe was flustered. Sparring with a tier three martial artist was nothing to be taken lightly. Even if he were to help Xiang Ning, they would both lose.

Xiang Ning smiled. “I’m not rash, and I’m already a martial artist.”

“What? You’re already a martial artist? Weren’t you in physical tempering stage four when school started?” Wang Zhe stared at Xiang Ning in disbelief.

Xiang Ning nodded. “I really am a martial artist, I wouldn’t have been able to defeat Li Minghao if that wasn’t true.”

“Wasn’t that because of your strategy?” Wang Zhe mumbled, then realized something and looked at Xiang Ning.

“Hahaha! If the arrogant bastards in our class knew that you were the first one to become a martial artist, they’d be shocked!” Wang Zhe laughed crazily.

“Let’s go up to the arena!” the man shouted at Xiang Ning. Xiang Ning being a martial artist wasn’t surprising, but it explained how he could defeat his sister.

The man brandished a long sword. “Come! Choose your weapon! These were made with special rubber that emulates the tactile feel of a real weapon, but it’ll only be painful if you’re hit by them.”

Xiang Ning nodded and picked up a sword that resembled the iridium sword he used in the virtual world.

Fang Rou suddenly ran out of a corridor, saw that her brother and Xiang Ning were in the arena, and angrily shouted, “Fang Hao! Get down here you bastard!”

The young man jumped in surprise and sheepishly turned back. “Don’t worry! It’s just a casual duel.”

“Come down this instant or I’ll tell father about this!” Fang Rou shrieked.

Xiang Ning looked at them, dumbfounded. Fang Rou and Fang Hao had the same surname. How could they be a couple? They were siblings!
