The entire lab was terrifyingly silent. There was usually some background noise, but it was deathly silent today. Only Old Jin and Xiang Ning’s voices were heard.

Every single researcher was silently concentrating on their conversation. They felt that they were no longer needed as they saw equation after equation being solved. Even if the Twelve Great Prodigies were to gather there, they wouldn’t be able to solve it this fast.

Everyone was questioning their own existence while trying to understand the conversation, as it was extremely beneficial to them.

That was why they had stayed and listened. Everyone was silently absorbing the knowledge and guidance from Old Jin and Xiang Ning. They were jealous, because every single one of them was the top researcher in the world. They had competed with thousands of researchers in their field to emerge at the top.

Every single one of them was a genius, a one-in-a-thousand kind of researcher. But now they were both happy and awkward. Awkward because they weren’t able to join in the conversation. They felt like their pride had been shattered. But on the other hand, they were happy because they could learn so much from the two in front of them.

On the other side of the lab, Alia and Dong Qianyi were looking at the large monitor and revealing shocked expressions.

“He wasn’t lying when he said he had complete knowledge of spatial planes. Look at how he is answering Old Jin, he didn’t even need three seconds.”

What was knowledge? It was something that could expand the horizon of mankind and elevate their soul to a greater height. But when it came to scientific knowledge, no matter how good you were in theory, nothing beat actual experimentation.

“With our current speed, we’ll soon obtain all of the data needed to unlock the spatial planes of dimensional rings. We should be able to craft one then!” Dong Qianyi was ecstatic! He was thankful that he had left North Star City to come to Marsh City, or someone this talented would have been recruited into the military by the musclebrained Lei Zhongyuan.

If Lei Zhongyuan knew what Dong Qianyi thought about him, he would have shown him what a musclebrain could do.

“But… is that alright? None of the researchers are moving.” Alia pitied them, but she was also thankful that she had chosen to research the virus that was altering the beast’s genome with Dong Qianyi.

So when Old Jin asked another question, he tried holding back. “I think the data this time is involved with the folding of space. We can try to use dataset 421 to solve it.” Xiang Ning said.

Old Jin thought a little and felt something was off. But he didn’t dwell on it too much and entered the dataset. Just when everyone thought it would be another success, the red light flashed and everyone stared at Xiang Ning.

“Oops, guess I was wrong.” He sheepishly scratched his head.

Old Jin smiled and dismissively waved. “We’re always trying to find success among our mistakes. Come, let’s try again.”

“Then try dataset 442?” Xiang Ning said.

This time everyone pitched in and thought about it too. Wang Jiayan bit his lips and raised his hand. “I think it's unsuitable to use dataset 442.”

Xiang Ning looked at him and silently praised him for stepping up.

“Jiayan, what are you saying?”

“Yeah, Xiang Ning isn’t the same clueless brat as before.”

One of the female researchers also put up her hand. “Then let’s try one more time?”

Old Jin nodded. “Alright, let’s try it.”
