Chapter 137 He Would Die!

Zhang Hongyu believed that Xiang Ning would eventually lose. He would then upload the footage online and forever brand Xiang Ning as the cocky challenger that got humbled by Hanwu Academy.

But Xiang Ning was still standing. So many people had fought him and lost to a single strike.

The onlookers couldn’t believe it, either. While it was true that he was a tier two martial artist, why was he so much stronger than a regular tier two martial artist? Wasn’t he using the same method of cultivation?

On the other side of the screen, many viewers had joined the live stream, especially students from the various academies in Marsh City.

Some teachers got hold of the news and even broadcasted the live stream during class. “Look at you guys! Now look at the strength of the students from the other academies. You guys can’t even kill a beast without losing your breath!”

Xiang Ning’s victory over Third School and Hanwu Academy had been the hottest topic in Marsh City. It wasn’t common to find a fight of such quality. It was a rare opportunity that those of the same strength could observe it as a reference and increase their own strength.

Within Qiling Academy.

“Hmph! I knew it! He really went and challenged Hanwu Academy. I even saw him leave as soon as he dropped off his sister.”

“I saw it too! I thought he might’ve forgotten something and gone back to get it.”

“Hahaha, let that trash Hanwu Academy know that our academy isn’t a gathering place for the weak!”

“But it’s true that we do have a gathering place for the weak, though, it’s called the special class.”

“I agree.”

At the same time, Fang Rou and the rest were blocked at the Qiling Academy gate.

“Miss Su, please let us go!” Fang Rou pleaded. If it weren’t for her, Xiang Ning wouldn’t have angered Zhang Hongyu. Because of her, he had been caught in her own troubles, and now he’d even gone to Hanwu Academy all by himself! She didn’t even notice that the existence of Xiang Ning had gradually increased in weight in her own heart.

Su Muhan looked at the students that had gathered for Xiang Ning and felt relieved. She softly said, “I understand how all of you are feeling right now, but I’ve received instructions from the headmaster. His safety is guaranteed, as the headmaster is in Hanwu Academy.”

“This.…”

Everyone turned and looked at each other. In the end, Fang Rou was the one who spoke first. “Since the headmaster is there, I guess we have no choice but to wait for their return.”

“Alright! Let’s wait for him!”

“Yeah, but he’s fighting all by himself! Can’t we do something?”

Su Muhan smiled as she retrieved a device and placed it on the ground. Suddenly, a fifty-inch screen appeared, broadcasting the livestream of Xiang Ning’s challenge at Hanwu Academy. Seeing him facing the crowd of students, all of them felt pride in their hearts.

Xiang Ning was already crossing swords with Sakar. But unlike the other students, Sakar’s fighting capability was much higher. Every single strike from him was brutal; it was obvious that he had undergone professional training. He didn’t even test the water, but had instead gone all out from the beginning.

Xiang Ning was capable of blocking every single attack, but when he thought about using Keen Observation to attack Sakar’s weak point, would he lose in one strike? If he did fall in a single strike, he would never get the experience points he needed. But being on the passive side was exhausting and any single attack could easily take him out too. If only I had armor.

“Is this all you’ve got?” Sakar was surprised by how easy this was. He fleeted on the ground, gracefully dancing as he launched deadly attacks one after another. Sakar had thought that Xiang Ning would at least be as strong as Wu Rui, but the reality was much too easy!

“Look, just as I had predicted. Xiang Ning is all brawn, no brain. Against someone like Sakar, he can’t even do anything!”

“It looks like I have to think of a good insult soon!”

As for all the insults and booing, Xiang Ning didn’t even bother listening to them. He finally made a decision. To him, Wu Rui would be the strongest amongst his peers, and since Sakar was wearing the Radiant Armor, a Mk. 3 armor with the strongest defense that cost three million dollars, it shouldn’t be a problem to use a strong attack.

Sakar used one of his sure-kill attacks. Two flying knives flew toward Xiang Ning from opposite directions as he himself directly rushed forward with a short sword.  It was an attack that surrounded the enemy! Regardless of whether he were to block the flying knives or Sakar himself, he wouldn’t come out unscathed.

“Good! Let’s see how he dodges this!”

“Keep dodging! Let’s see how you dodge this attack!”

“Xiang Ning, it’s time to end this!” Sakar shouted as he increased his speed. But when he saw Xiang Ning’s expression, fear sprung from his heart.

Keen Observation.

Shadowmist Ghost Step.

“Mountain-Splitting Slash!”

In an instant, Xiang Ning activated all three techniques. He dodged the flying knives using Shadowmist Ghost Step and appeared in front of Sakar, his sword slashing down with his entire might. Xiang Ning decided to experiment with his Telekinesis and used it to forcefully push down his blade. By using his Telekinesis to push down the sword, he would be able to achieve a single slash that was stronger and faster than normal. He wanted to try it out and see how strong it was.

When both the Mountain-Splitting Slash and Telekinesis worked in tandem, a fear that struck the souls of everyone emanated from his sword.

“This single slash could easily kill someone!”

Everyone immediately thought the same thing—that wasn’t an ordinary slash!

Xiang Ning, on the other hand, didn’t even realize it. He just thought it was stronger than usual.

Sakar’s eyes widened in fear. The incoming slash was too fast, too strong, and it came from his blind spot. He was also shocked by Xiang Ning’s ruthlessness. To think he wanted to kill him! He would die! He would really die! He forgot everything that he had said previously. Against the incoming death, he only had one thought, and that was that he wanted to go back to his hometown.
