He was starting to feel pain in his legs since the one crutch was lower than the other, which meant that his legs kept touching the ground and setting pressure on his feet. He tried to hold his arms stretched so his feet wouldn't hit the ground, but that became too tiring after a while.
Soon w.a.n.g Ming arrived at a shop named Weng Meat Store that sold just what he needed, which was beef and pork. That was what he wanted to sell, barbequed/grilled pork and beef, he knew that beef is a lot harder to manage on the grill, so not many people sold it on the grill. Especially high-grade beef that's supposed to be sold at about medium-rare, even rare depending on the cut. Reading a lot about different meats in the past, he knew that for example, that j.a.panese beef. It is superior to that of Chinese beef and probably the whole world, and you always want to cook especially the premium j.a.panese steak to medium-rare at max to really emphasize the taste of the beef, unless of course, they are thin pieces.
Weng Ping had opened his shop for half a day now and barely had any customers. He just kept looking around the street and saw customers roaming around, but they just kept walking by his shop. Finally, seeing a man walking toward his shop. He was happy and also a little b.u.mmed. His 3rd customer of the day was a man walking with a broken crutch and looked like he was miserable. But he had seen many types of people in his life, so he knew better than judging a man by his looks.
He still remembered the story of a car dealers.h.i.+p employee. He was arrogant and only dealt with people he deemed well off, which was of course by how they dressed. He got almost beaten to death when he denied a Lamborghini to an underworld boss who liked to wear simple clothes. Since he always wanted to remember that he came from the slums. The boss didn't care about the employee at first. But was enraged when the employee cursed his mom and dad, so he called his underlings and beat the employee.
So the owner had a broad smile on his face when he saw w.a.n.g Ming, coming towards his store and even opened the door for him since he saw that w.a.n.g Ming struggled with the door. With a broad smile, he almost shouted. Welcome to my humble store customer!
When w.a.n.g Ming arrived at the front door of the shop, he struggled to open the door since he had to pull the door towards him, especially with a broken crutch. It also reminded him even more that he needs to rent a wheelchair. Most likely he wouldn't have enough money to buy one since he would probably use most of his money here.
"Thank you for opening the door, are you the owner?" He told the owner while walking in the shop. He was thrilled seeing all of the different cuts lying inside transparent boxes with ice right in front of the counter. The best way to hold meat fresh was to freeze them directly after being cut and processed, and this could only mean that the owner at least knew about the basics of how to handle and store meat.
"Yes, I'm Weng Ping, and I'm the owner of Weng Meat Store. What is your name? May I ask Young Master?" Young Master? Why would he call me that, especially in my outfit? No one had called w.a.n.g Ming Young Master in a long time now ever since 'That' happened. "My name's w.a.n.g Ming and no need for Young Master I'm not worthy. Could you please get me: 10 pounds of flap steak, 5 pounds of pork belly and pork loin chops? And I couldn't help to see that you have some Kobe beef there Uncle Weng, could you please cut about 200 grams for me?"

w.a.n.g Ming had a plan for all of his cuts. The flap steak is probably one of the best low-end cuts in his opinion. Since they have a loose texture which makes them soak up all marinade, and if you grill them to just about medium-rare, they get a tender and juicy texture to them. Pork belly is probably one of the most popular cuts, and it's relatively inexpensive also. He could make bacon out of it, but of course, the best choice would be to marinade and grill it. Since the pork belly has a proper distribution of both fat and meat, most people love it. He read in a book that in the west many westerners eat pork belly for Christmas. When you grill it to perfection and take a bite of it, it should be tender and juicy coupled with a crispy skin side.
Pork loin chops are a leaner piece with less fat, but the tenderness of the meat can definitely not be understated. When you grill it, it shrinks, and as long as you don't overcook it, it will be so juicy and tender just like a girls...
The Kobe, though was not actually in his plan, but he decided to buy a piece to take home and try it out. If people liked it, then it could potentially bring him a lot of money. Kobe is an exquisite piece of meat, and the only thing it needs is salt and not to be overcooked, and it will just melt in your mouth, and all the fat marbling[1] will melt in your mouth.
The owner was shocked that the man would buy so many different types of meats, how could he even carry all of it? His crutch broken in half, but he didn't say too much and just went to get the meat. He was glad that this customer bought a decent amount, even though there weren't any too expensive cuts except Kobe. It was better than to let the meat just laying around and ultimately to throw them away, or feed them to the dogs. It took him roughly 10 minutes to get all of the meats weighed, and he calculated it out to be around 810 yuan but decided to charge 800.
After w.a.n.g Ming checked through everything and paid, he also asked if the owner could call a cab for him, since he did everything planned for the day it was time to go home. "No problem Mr.w.a.n.g, my nephew, is a taxi driver, if you don't mind, he can drive you home."
"Why would I mind? Thank you so much, Uncle Weng, if I need more meat I will definitely come back here let's meet another time!" Feeling thankful for Uncle Weng's att.i.tude and help, w.a.n.g Ming decided that this shop would be his go-to from now on, even if it were a wrong decision business-wise since it would cost him more.
w.a.n.g Ming then walked out of the shop and just stood there and waited for the taxi. He had everything he needed now, so the only thing left was to prove himself and get his a.s.s in gear and make some money. Finally, he saw the taxi arriving then looking at the clock that was kindly donated by the men he fought earlier and was shocked to see that it was 7 pm already. So he told the driver to drive him to a room he could rent for a couple of days.
On the way home, w.a.n.g Ming saw a small clinic and decided to stop and rent a wheelchair, which cost him around 300 yuan deposit and 20 yuan for each day, but he only needed to pay after he returned it.
w.a.n.g Ming finally arrived at the room he had rented. It cost him around 150 yuan per night. It was relatively small, about 20 square meters, and didn't have a bedroom, but a living room coupled with a kitchen and a toilet and shower in a separate room. There was a mattress in the corner of the living room that looked so soft and fluffy. w.a.n.g Ming just wheeled himself towards the bed and laid on it, then his eyes just shut down, even though he was hungry and dirty from the day.
