Chapter 27: Youre My Sand Golem

Loulan, want to try? Ai Hui suddenly turned around and asked

Try? Loulan was confused: Try what?

Try going on stage.

Try going on stage? Loulans eyes suddenly widened as his voice became louder: Ai Hui, are you telling me to also compete on stage?

Ai Hui, whose expression had been calm the entire time, was startled by Loulans sudden increase in volume, he steadied his heart and answered: Yeah, it says up there that only teams of two can participate. If you dont

Okay. Loulan straightforwardly agreed, but was still a bit hesitant: But Ive never fought before, what if we lose?

If we lose, well go to another training hall. Ai Hui answered matter-of-factly: Winning some and losing some is very common, we can regard it as practice.

Loulan was relieved when he heard that.

However, when Ai Hui went up to apply, the training hall declined the sign up.

Sand golems are out of the question! Sand golems arent human, sand golems dont even use eyes to see things, isnt that cheating?

Ai Hui was left speechless.

Right, sand golems werent human, how they perceived their environment was different than how humans do. Some sand golems had a sharp sense of smell, and some sand golems were like snakes, perceiving the other partys position by sensing heat. Some sand golems were even like bats, and judged positions based on sound waves.

Ai Hui had seen all types of strange sand golems. The extent in which many earth elementalists utilized and made their sand golems had reached unimaginable heights. Even though an overwhelming majority of earth elementalists were antisocial, eccentric, and arent very charming, on the battlefield, no one would neglect their existence. Earth elementalists were usually regarded as the most dangerous individuals, half of that reason was accredited to sand golems.

Ai Hui really wanted to say that Loulan definitely didnt have those sort of abilities, but he still didnt say anything.

Loulan was the weakest sand golem Ai Hui had ever seen, he could not see any designs suitable for battle on Loulans body, he was purely a livelihood sand golem.

Ai Hui saw the light in Loulans eyes rapidly dim. He patted Loulan: Lets go.

After going out of the training hall, Loulan hung his head and didnt say a single word.

Ai Hui could feel Loulans gloomy mood, and thought to himself: looks like Loulan was really looking forward to competing on stage. But Loulan was a sand golem, under this kind of blind competition, his advantages were clearly obvious. There was no way any training halls would allow Loulan on stage, unless

Ai Huis eyes lit up as he thought up of an idea.

He swept his gaze past the surrounding training halls. It landed on one of them, and then he broke into a run.

Loulan, over here.

Ai Hui brought Loulan into another training hall. He directly walked up to registration and said: I want to sign up.

The training halls staff looked at Loulan.

Hes my sand golem. Ai Hui supplemented: Im an earth elementalist, can I bring my sand golem along to participate?

Loulan, who was behind Ai Hui, was stunned.

Earth elementalists, ey? Sure. The staff member nodded, it was clear that this was not the first time he had handled this kind of matter: But your sand golem has to seal all kinds of location methods and has to isolate all its connected senses to the environment, we need to stick in a Misty Soul Grass, if the grass falls off, it will be considered to be your loss. Are you sure you want to participate?

As expected. Ai Hui was slightly pleased with himself.

To earth elementalists, sand golems were the most important part of their fighting strength. Once they lost their sand golem, earth elementalists were no different than a lamb waiting to be slaughtered. Ai Hui didnt believe that all blind competitions would not allow earth elementalists to participate, the earth elementalist community was not small, how could training halls neglect such a large community? They would definitely have some kind of suppression method to cripple a sand golems advantage in blind battles.

Ai Hui knew that the training halls must have some sort of suppression method, but hed never thought that their suppression method would be that harsh.

Misty Soul Grass was a sort of plant specialized in handling sand golems, something that earth elementalists had produced. Widely used in traps and poison concoctions, it wasnt exactly a type of toxic plant, the most, all it would do was interfere with a sand golems sense perception. And to sand golems, it was one of the things they hated the most.

Especially low level sand golems, the influence Misty Soul Grass had on them was huge, nearly all of a low level golems senses would be suppressed. To a low level sand golem, along with not having any sensing ability, being disconnected from the world was crippling, this was why Ai Hui thought that the training halls rules were extremely harsh.

Loulan suddenly answered: No problem.

Looks like sires sand golem is quite smart. The staff member laughed in surprise: Smart sand golems have quite an advantage, you know. Then Ill wish you two the best of luck.

Ai Hui knew that the other party was right, when senses and commands were all cut off, the sand golems own judgment was put to the test, and smart sand golems had the advantage in this situation.

Ai Hui mused. How rare that even Loulan would have an advantage.

The staff member took out an emerald green Misty Soul Grass and passed it over to Loulan. This was the first time Ai Hui had ever see a completely intact Misty Soul Grass. It was as long as a bean sprout.

Loulan stuck the Misty Soul Grass on his head.

Ai Hui was unable to restrain his smile. Loulans head was originally just sand, but now that there was a Misty Soul Grass stuck in it, it seemed as if a bean sprout had grown out of his head, it was an indescribable funniness.

Loulan saw Ai Huis odd expression, and was a bit puzzled: Did I stick it in the wrong place?

Very good. Ai Hui gently coughed, and commented: Looks great!

After signing up, they waited at the side for the next round to start.

Taking advantage of it not starting yet Ai Hui hastily imparted Loulan with his experience: When you go up, you wont be able to see anything, but dont freak out. Dont stand too far from me, if you do, I cant help you. Dont panic if someone attacks you, remember, you are a sand golem, you can transform. Come, lets agree on a warning signal. Lets just use the sound of sand being rubbed against, dont be too loud, just rub a little and Ill hear it. After we get up on stage, dont talk, that will expose your position. If you decide to attack, dont hesitate, and remember that night when I taught you all those secret tricks? You must remember that if your attack fails, immediately leave your original position, the best method is to roll on the spot. Er, youre a sand golem, you can flow around on the ground

Ai Hui, dont describe me scattering like someone peeing, Loulan is a sand golem. Loulan said in dissatisfaction: Not a water golem.

Its something like that. Ai Hui said while laughing: In any case, Ill be helping you, loosen up a little, rookie. This will be the first battle of your life. From today on, youre going to be a sand golem with fighting experience. Youll definitely remember today. Remember, if it hurts too much, you must surrender.

Loulan understands. Loulan replied straightforwardly.

Prepare to get up on stage. The staff member yelled.

Its almost our turn. Ai Hui patted Loulans shoulder and said while trying to boost morale: Good luck, boiling soup treasure!

Loulan didnt notice the odd boiling soup treasure nickname. He said with some doubt: Ai Hui

Dong dong dong, the sound of the bell rang.

Ai Hui immediately changed as his gaze sharpened, it was as if he had become a different person.

He calmly put on the lightproof mask.
