Mu Tingfeng's eyes sparkled. His eyes snapped to Zhao Youxi, who was standing at the entrance. Before Zhao Youxi's joy was shown on her face, he blurted out, "I asked Youlin to come over to take care of me. This was my mother's request, as well as mine."

Zhao Youxi looked incredibly bashful the moment Mu Tingfeng turned and looked at her. However, the next moment, her expression stiffened, and her eyes grew so big as if they were going to pop out of their sockets.

"President Mu, what did you just say? You said, you took the initiative… by asking her to…"

'President Mu called the wench so intimately by her name, and even asked her to come over to take care of him! Could it be… No way! It's impossible! How could President Mu fall for a wench like her?! How is that possible?! The wench must be the one who seduced him! It must be so!'

Zhao Youxi took two steps back shakily. When she regained her balance, she turned her gaze and glared at Zhao Youlin furiously as if she wanted to skin her alive.

Zhao Youlin was not intimidated by Zhao Youxi's glare. She did not take it to heart. In fact, she found her hilariously amusing. Meanwhile, the other person inside the ward thought otherwise.

When Mu Tingfeng noticed the murderous intent in Zhao Youxi's eyes, he narrowed his eyes. Mu Tingfeng turned back, and cast a glance at Zhao Youlin. His sharp look slowly softened, "No one should interfere in the affairs between me with my wife-to-be. In fact, I'm most pleased to see her pretending to look pitiful and showing concern for me even if it's her method of seducing me."

Right after Mu Tingfeng spoke, the atmosphere in the entire ward immediately fell into grave silence.

The bodyguards at the entrance were dumbfounded. They looked at their superior incredulously. They shuddered at the thought that the person speaking was indeed their superior, the handsome, high and mighty President.

'How could this be possible… How is this possible…? How could our president say something so uncharacteristic of him?! Are we sure the person in front of us is not somebody else?!

Upon hearing this, Zhao Youlin slowly put a palm against her face. She thought bitterly to herself, 'Darn you, Mu Tingfeng! You can do all you want to embarra.s.s yourself, but why do you have to drag me down?!

'Moreover, what do you mean by "wife-to-be"? Have you been overthinking it? When did I promise to be your wife?!'

Mu Tingfeng's confession of their relations.h.i.+p delivered the fatal blow to Zhao Youxi. Before Mu Tingfeng made his statement, she could still deceive herself, thinking that Zhao Youlin was the only one who did all this willingly.

She thought Zhao Youlin was the one who had come up with this trick to grab Mu Tingfeng's attention and seduced him. However, Mu Tingfeng explicitly covered up for Zhao Youlin in front of everyone. He called her name intimately, and even made known to the rest that she was his wife-to-be.

Zhao Youxi's hysterical scream once again hit Mu Tingfeng where it hurt. Divorcing Zhao Youlin in the beginning was the most regrettable decision he had ever made in his life. Now, this had become his minefield, he spared no one who triggered his taboo.

On the other hand, Zhao Youxi was such a daredevil that she actually triggered his minefield. Mu Tingfeng's expression darkened. He swept a glance at the bodyguards, and said in a low voice, "This young lady has lost her mind, send her to the psychiatric department. And, there will be no repeats of this, if you guys let sc.u.m like her barge in again in the future, go and claim your final cheque from the finance department."

The bodyguards s.h.i.+vered upon meeting their superior's deadly gaze. They did not dare to react slowly. They immediately dashed forward, dragged Zhao Youxi and tossed her out.

Zhao Youxi had been spoiled ever since young. She never experienced things like this. The moment she was grabbed, she panicked. She screamed, "What are you guys doing?! Let go of me! Let go of me!"

None of the bodyguards dared to let go of her at that moment. If they ever let the numbskull stay inside the ward for another few minutes, they might lose their jobs.

The bodyguards did not stop regardless of how Zhao Youxi had screamed at them. Her face turned white. Without giving a second thought, she turned around, and shouted at Mu Tingfeng, "President Mu, President Mu, don't be deceived by the wench! She's playing hard to get. Don't be deceived by her! President Mu!"

Zhao Youlin found it incredibly hilarious upon hearing Zhao Youxi's absurd insults. She instinctively turned around, looked at Mu Tingfeng, and asked teasingly, "Playing hard to get?"

Mu Tingfeng's calm gaze flickered with some emotions, his gaze softened, and he said, "You don't need to do that."

Mu Tingfeng spoke so calmly, as if he never doubted his words ever since he b.u.mped into her several times after their divorce. There was no rationale behind his shamelessness.

Zhao Youlin and Mu Tingfeng's cooperation had easily caused a sting to Zhao Youxi's eyes.

At that instant, the hatred in Zhao Youxi's heart was likened to the spreading of poison from a poisonous scorpion all over her body, the poison that had been acc.u.mulated for some time, and it had devoured all her rationality.
