Is it because of this place, or the time itself, that I feel nostalgic about those times?

Soma didnt know which it was, or if it was for some other reason, but he was certain that at the very least, he felt nostalgic about this moment. And thus, Soma stood up from his seat.

Hmm, theres not much time left until lunch break ends. (Sheila)

Rather, precisely because of that, isnt it? Theres still someone who hasnt returned even though lunch break is about to end. (Soma)

While Iori muttered in disbelief, Soma shrugged his shoulders. Certainly, there might not be any particular need for it, but more than half of it was probably just for show. Ultimately, he was curious about what she had been doing.

It bothered him a bit to leave Felicia behind, but with Sheila there, it should probably be fine. Moreover, Sheila seems capable enough to move without drawing much attention, almost as if she were the Sheila Soma knew. Indeed, Somas current physical abilities seemed to have fallen to the level of an average high school student, but his experience hadnt diminished. It wasnt difficult to infer that from Sheilas actions. However, what concerns him was that this power was clearly excessive and unnecessary for the life of a student. Soma had thought his loss of power was solely responsible for that but it seemed like there was one more thing to worry about.

Nevertheless, it would be a great relief if there was someone he could rely on. Of course, he couldnt directly ask, but if it was Sheila, she would likely protect Felicia without a word. It was because he could trust her that Soma could comfortably head to the infirmary.

With that, Soma left the cla.s.sroom and continued down the corridor, just as he had done a moment ago.

As lunchtime was drawing to a close, unlike earlier, there were students heading back to their cla.s.srooms here and there. The surroundings were still noisy though. In the midst of this, Soma, didnt stop his steps, as he glanced towards a certain cla.s.sroom. It felt like something had caught his eye for some reason.

Hmm? Is that? (Soma)

It turned out it wasnt just his imagination. The black-haired girl he saw wasnt an unusual sight around here but there was no mistaking who she was. It was Sylvia.

Unexpected or perhaps not, I suppose. (Soma)

That cla.s.sroom belonged to the cla.s.s next door. In other words, she was a cla.s.smate, which made sense given their previous relations.h.i.+p. Moreover, it seemed that Sylvia had taken on a role that suited her quite well.

I see Student Council President, is it (Soma)

Given her royal status, it was indeed a fitting role. As for how Soma knew this, it had simply popped into his head. Just like when he remembered his own cla.s.s.

Hmm I might need to organize my thoughts about this as well. (Soma)

With Sylvia chatting with some vaguely familiar people in the background, Soma continued to walk, slightly lost in his own thoughts. At the very least, it was certain that he possessed knowledge he shouldnt have. This implied a high possibility of external interference but this wasnt surprising.

The current situation, and the fact that he couldnt remember the events leading up to it, had already led him to this conclusion. It was likely that there was something problematic that would arise if he remembered, hence why it had been intentionally blocked from his memory. Alternatively, there might be other things he couldnt remember simply because he wasnt aware of them.

Well, thinking about such things wouldnt change anything. All he could do for the time being was consider what he knew.

He had realized that Sylvia was the Student Council President when he idly wondered if she was involved in something at this school. Even a brief glance revealed that her cla.s.smates held her in high regard, and considering her royal background, it wasnt surprising she was involved in something.

When he remembered his cla.s.s, it was also when he wondered where his cla.s.s was. Although he was thinking about his previous lifes high school cla.s.s, the information came to him as if he had known it all along. If that was the case

Other acquaintances here hmm, this isnt working. Do I need to think more concretely? Then the name of the princ.i.p.al (Soma)

In an instant, the name clearly came to mind. However, he groaned at this unexpected information.

If Satya was the board chairman, it made sense for Eleonora to be the princ.i.p.al though the issue was that Soma seemed to have seen Eleonora before. This meant there was a high possibility that Eleonora was currently here. However, although not as high-ranking as Satya, Eleonora was still a high-ranking ent.i.ty. She was on par with Devils and not someone easily involved in such matters.

More importantly, like Satya, Eleonora was not known to leave the Holy City easily. So, unless something extraordinary happened or

Even thinking about this wont yield a conclusion. For now, I should a.s.sume Im involved in something larger than I initially thought. (Soma)

Setting that aside for now, he continued identifying possible people here. What he found out was that Carine seemed to be teaching world history. Rather than saying he had no other acquaintances, it would be more accurate to say that this was all Soma could ascertain for now.

Since Somas current method of verification involved thinking about job t.i.tles and the like, it was impossible to confirm if they were mingling as cla.s.smates. For example, if he tried to remember Felicia, nothing came to mind, but if he thought of childhood friends, he could recall Felicia and Sheila. This method seemed to have some sort of pattern or annoying mechanism.

By the time he finished thinking, he had already descended to the first floor, and the infirmary was just ahead. It was time to stop thinking for a moment.

Hmm, speaking of the infirmary, I hadnt considered the school nurse but it seems I dont know who it is. (Soma)

Indeed, he had never been to the infirmary in high school and had no recollection of needing a school nurse. It wasnt surprising that Soma didnt have that knowledge. Thinking about such things, he walked up to the infirmary door and opened it without hesitation.

Soma blinked several times at the sight that greeted him. He hadnt expected that person to be there. Judging by the white coat, there was no doubt that this person was the school nurse. However, it was a familiar face. Steina Kanzaki was there, as the person in charge of the infirmary.
