"Mother said to put down those herbs and leave!"

Though Xiao Xun'er's voice was tender and soft, his tone was extremely stern. It scared the group of youths so much that they quickly threw the herbs down and ran down the mountain, fearful that if they were one step too late, they would be devoured by this monster!

If Xun'er had a little tail, Gu Ruoyun could imagine the little fellow wagging his tail fawningly.

"Xun'er is really clever."

Gu Ruoyun stroked Xiao Xun'er's head and smiled.

Xiao Xun'er continued to blink his large eyes. "Mother, do I get a reward?"

"A reward?"

Gu Ruoyun stroked her chin. Suddenly, she remembered something and pulled the slumbering Mengmeng from the Ancient Divine Pagoda and threw it at the anticipating Xiao Xun'er.

"I'll let you play with this fellow."

Xiao Xun'er was immediately attracted to Mengmeng who was exploding with cuteness. His tiny hands stroked the little beast's round body as his eyes filled with glee, "Thank you, Mother. Xun'er really likes it."
