The dragons were the most resistant to magic among all life forms on earth. With regards to general magic and sorcery, no mental attacks could not affect the dragons at all, and even the most physically powerful magic, such as those belonging to the flame or electric class, could only cause minimal damage.
Well, there was a saying that it was possible to stand up to a dragon, assuming that dozens of high-ranking wizards, commonly known as archmages, gathered together to launch a collective attack against a dragon. However, there were no more than 30 such figures across the entire empire, including those not of the human race. It would be simply impossible to gather them in one place.
Moreover, they would be against an opponent who could be resistant to their attacks. Even if a collective attack by dozens of archmages was supposed to prove effective, it was just in theory.
In the end, magic could only play an auxiliary role in dealing with dragons, which meant that the only way to fight them was to deal physical blows. Tens of thousands of soldiers, high-ranking knights capable of imbuing their weapons with spirit, and hundreds of griffons would be needed to take down a dragon.
But who would possibly rouse such an enormous force to match a single creature? Such an enormous force would be enough to dominate the entire world.
There was only one conclusion to be made.
The only being that could fight against the greatest creature in the world was another dragon.
Kwaaaaaahh!
Despite being made of bones, Biskra quickly reached Soldrake in a few flaps of his wings. Hundreds of black teeth aimed for Soldrake’s throat.
Woosh
The White Dragon flapped her wings and emitted her spirit like a snow flower, and Biskra’s large figure was pushed back.
Kyaaaahk!
Soldrake let loose a loud roar before charging towards Biskra. A dazzling light formed on the horns located on her forehead, and she crashed straight into Biskra’s chest.
Along with an explosion, Soldrake’s horn dug into Biskra’s bony chest, and the Bone Dragon’s large wings wrapped around Soldrake as if he was hugging her.
Kwaaaaaaaa!
Soldrake pushed forward.
The two dragons flew towards the wall, tangled into a single body, then crashed.
Booooom!
A huge tremor enveloped the entire area, and one side of the tall wall came crashing down.
Kyaahhhk!
Biskra wailed and attempted to push Soldrake away. Every time the bone wings moved, a storm of wind blew away pieces of stone mixed with evil energy. A dark, red blizzard started to take over the area.
”Raise your shields!”
Killian shouted at the top of his lungs.
Boooom!
Hundreds of fist-sized rocks flew towards the soldiers and crashed into the shields of the Pendragon Duchy’s soldiers.
“Keuk!”
Their shields were dented and crushed, and the soldiers groaned, unable to withstand the shock. Dozens of them were unable to overcome the impact and fell backwards.
“Keuk….”
Killian coughed in the flurry of stone dust and quickly lifted his head.
Kwaaaaa!
Different colors of spirit exploded in all directions. The battle of the tangled dragons was both desperate and overwhelming. Strong, unrelenting winds were created with each of their movements, and loud explosions frequently erupted. The dense spirits formed into blades and threatened their opponents.
“Is this… the fight of dragons…?”
Killian muttered without realizing it. It was a sight he had never dreamt of seeing in his wildest imaginations. No other creatures, neither humans nor monsters, had any place in the battle that was unfolding in front of them.
Dozens of humans would be swept away like fallen leaves with a single flap of the wings of the two great beings. A dragon’s entire body was covered with thousands of scales, and each one was known to be harder than steel and as big as a shield. There was no way to penetrate the natural defenses of the dragons.
Gods.
The fight unfurling in front of them was a fight of the gods.
Crack! Crunnnch!
“Everyone, evacuate!”
Killian shouted urgently as another barrage of stones started flying their way. There was only one decision for humans and elves to make in the battle of the gods – to flee.

“…..”
Jean Oberon’s eyes were deeply sunken as he watched the fight between Soldrake and Biskra. The figure in the black sphere was only an illusion - a homunculus, and his true self was located somewhere where no one knew. As such, there was nothing he could do to interfere in the fight.
Although he could use magic to some extent if his homunculus exited the sphere, in this situation, there was a high probability that he would get caught up in the battle between the two dragons and be extinguished.
“Truly befitting of her title as the Queen. How extraordinary.”
Jean Oberon whispered his honest feelings.
Due to the limitations on her power, Soldrake could not invoke her authority. However, she was still managing to push back Biskra with her physical abilities. Even the Dragon Fear of the Bone Dragon, which had transformed into a dark spirit, caused minimal damage to the Dragon Queen.
However, she was still suffering damage from the fight, evident from the blackened, damaged marks on her body from where Biskra had scratched or bit her.
“But it won’t work for too long.”
Even though Biskra’s attacks were combined with the Death God’s destruction spirit, it would not be able to destroy her brilliant spirit. It was just influencing it briefly.
“It will be hard with just Biskra.”
Unfortunately, Jean Oberon was forced to admit it. However, he was not disappointed. In the first place, Biskra was only a tool to gauge her powers and to bind her. His primary purpose lay elsewhere.
His gaze soon shifted to one side. He looked towards where Raven was running towards the Troll King with orcs and griffons.
“You are the key. You who go against causality...”
A light flashed briefly in the sorcerer’s deeply restrained eyes. No one could kill his creation, the Troll King. The Troll King would only perish when he desired it as its creator.
“The Dragon Queen is tied up dealing with Biskra, and you are helpless without the artifact.”
Jean Oberon smiled as he recalled the shield he obtained from Raven in El Pasa. Even though he was a sorcerer, he was quite surprised by the Shield of Healing. He could not believe that someone who had the overwhelming power of the Dragon Queen also possessed such a precious artifact as well.
He had finally realized why Alan Pendragon had remained unscathed even after suffering through numerous dangers. Without the artifact, surely, he would have died multiple times already.
The power of Soldrake and the Shield of Healing had allowed a continual of life for the one who should have already died.
“Did you tell me to fight? To fight and take? That is what I will do. But you will die.”
Only he knew the locations of the Troll King’s core and the method required for destroying it. Alan Pendragon would never win against the Troll King.
“Die, so that you may become the King of Darkness and lead the Dragon Queen to death with your own hands…”
It would correct the twist of causality and prevent all dragons from becoming involved in the world. As such thoughts passed through his mind, Jean Oberon’s eyes once again filled with stillness.

“Is. It. You. Who. Defied. Master’s. Will.”
Every time it spoke in dismantled speech, black smoke filled with evil energy fumed out of its mouth and wrapped around the huge body covered in metal armor.
“Troll King…”
The Troll King’s red eyes glimmered brightly in the smoke. It was reminiscent of a demon who had crawled out of hell.
In the past, Raven had reached the end of the labyrinth after numerous troops were sacrificed. The memory of the Troll King standing like an obelisk of evil and the accompanying fear was fresh in Raven’s mind as if it were a thing of yesterday.
Kwaaaa!
The Troll King raised both hands above its shoulders and opened its mouth. It held two large, metal plates measuring 20 feet long in both hands.
Whoooosh!
Black smoke etched with a deep smell of sulfur expelled and started to color the surroundings with darkness.
“Hold your breaths!”
At Raven’s words, the Ancona Orcs, who were growling, hurriedly closed their mouths. The black smoke which obscured the Troll King’s appearance was a type of toxin. Even though orc warriors possessed natural immunity to poison, they would lose strength and slow down upon inhaling the smoke.
Fwoosh!
Raven aroused the Spirit of the Dragon. The spirit advanced while radiating light, and as the spirit and the smoke collided, the smoke disappeared with a crackle. As the smoke retreated and could no longer affect the orc warriors, Raven shouted.
“Griffons!”
The griffons had been hovering in the air above the Troll King. At Raven’s shout, they all rushed in at once.
Kiyaaahk!
Ten griffons let loose a long cry and charged into the black smoke. As the gas started to disperse with the griffons’ flaps, Raven shouted towards Karuta.
“Now!”
“Kuwwwwwuuugh!”
Karuta and the Ancona Orc warriors charged forward with a loud roar. They sprinted across the ground on all fours with steel maces in their mouths. Their appearance was like that of real predators.
Orc Fear erupted like an active volcano, surging forward like red waves.
Shuaaahk!
The Troll King’s red eyes glimmered ominously in the smoke, then it wielded the two chamados
[1]
. The monster’s two weapons were large, flat, plate-like swords. At the devastating strike, the smoke split into dozens of branches and the fierce spirit erupted.
Boooom!
Two griffons were sliced into several pieces in an instant, and they fell to the ground while spraying blood.
“Keuk!”
Theo Milner groaned from the overwhelming attack. He was conducting the griffons from the air. But he was a squire of the Pendragon Duchy, and the temporary captain of the griffon unit. He did not stop.
“Block its movements!”
The remaining griffons rushed towards the arms and the head of the Troll King at Milner’s shout.
“Kuwwwuagh!”
On the ground, the Ancona Orc warriors charged like beasts and jumped off the ground towards the Troll King.
Once again, the Troll King’s chamados danced.
Pupupuuk!
Orc warriors and griffons became bloody chunks and scattered in the air. However, the Ancona Orc warriors possessed beastly instincts. Even with their arms and legs cut off, they pounced on the Troll King while sprouting dark-red Orc Fear from their eyes.
“Kuwwugh! Kuwugh!”
The orc warriors attacked the Troll King while howling like animals. Those with intact arms swung their steel maces without rest, while those without arms chomped down on whatever anything that was in front of them.
“Kuwwwaaugh!”
The Troll King swung its arms in anger. The griffons and orc warriors who were clinging on to it flew through the air and fell to the ground. Then, it lifted its colossal leg and stomped the ground.
Bang!
Orc warriors and griffons burst into unrecognizable shapes.
“Kuwaaagh!”
The monsters’ king howled triumphantly. As it started to expel black smoke once more and its appearance started to disappear…
“You, bastarddd! Get swallowed by the ground and die without a head!”
Someone jumped onto the Troll King’s back with a roar. Instinctively, the Troll King swung the chamados backwards.
Clang!
A powerful metallic roar threatened to burst everyone’s eardrums.
Pupuk!
“Fuck!”
Karuta used his two steel maces to block the Troll King’s attacks, then used the momentum of the rebound to rotate his body and jumped towards the Troll King’s head.
Pupupuk!
As he wielded his steel maces like lightning, a series of dull, fleshy sounds resonated.
“Kuwugh!”
Each blow contained enough power to decimate large boulders. The Troll King’s face soon crumpled into a bizarre shape as blood sprouted out.
However, black smoke wound around its head in the blink of an eye, and its head quickly regained its original form.
“Damn you!”
Karuta hurriedly jumped to the ground and uttered aggressively. He had placed all of his strength behind every one of the blows, but the monster’s head had not burst open. But it was able to recover the wounds in the time it took to take a single breath as well?
It was truly unbelievable.
“Krrr…”
But Karuta grinned.
His eagerness for battle only increased when he faced a strong opponent.
Even if he would take his last breath here, he would not be ashamed when he faced his departed brothers and the Earth God.
And.
Fwooosh!
As soon as Karuta saw a sword penetrating through the black smoke like a silver-white whirlwind, he instantly started to move his blood-covered body once more.
“Let’s fight to the death, you orc bastardsss!”
“Kuwuaaggh!”
With the radiating glow of Dragon Blade as the signal, the surviving orc warriors once again roused their Orc Fear.
