This was not an accident; it must be all planned.
Su Bai would never believe that he had just picked a random house and coincidentally ended up with the same choice as Nona’s. If a coincident was too bizarre, there had to be some kind of inevitability behind it.
Since this was a story world of Dreadful Radio Game, then the radio would definitely do something to make the story more interesting with more attractive plots.
And there must be an invisible hand pus.h.i.+ng these plots forward.
Realizing this, Su Bai now knew a little bit more about the Dreadful Radio as well as the layout and rhythm of this story.
Mr. Ego was cheered up and ready to enjoy the woman, but after he noticed that the woman was actually dead already, he could no longer get it up. Especially, the woman was still moving, i.e. she had signs of life, but she was absolutely dead; such a contradiction had a bad influence on Mr. Ego’s physical and mental health and could even affect his s.e.xual life in the future. After all, normal people, except a few perverts, would never be s.e.xually attracted to a dead body; even though most people wouldn’t feel alright about the obsession with others’ wives, it was still far from perverted.
The man’s body in front of Nona finally fell onto the ground and revealed the lovely attractive figure of Nona. Yes, lovely and attractive; although Nona had already died, her body language and facial expressions had become even more vivid, thus leading people into fancy imaginations. This was some kind of evolution, an elevation in the level of life; Nona was dead, but her body had turned to a different style or even gone to a different extreme.
Nona’s eyes were wandering over Su Bai and Ego, like a curious baby.
Ego bit his own tongue as if he had seen a ghost:
“My! This body has come to life! F*ck you Dreadful Radio! Such a creepy creature in a story like this? That’s cheating!”
Nona seemed to be offended by Ego’s tone. She glared at Ego and then threw herself at him.
On the other hand, Su Bai was feeling a little relieved. He knew Nona’s capability, and he knew even better that Nona had evolved since they met last time. Therefore, from the moment he saw Nona, he had done nothing, said nothing and made no sound, just to avoid attracting Nona’s attention.
A blue light flashed in Ego’s eyes. Nona suddenly stopped as if she had hit a transparent wall and fell down with thump.
“Ah!”
Nona screamed harshly. Apparently, she was irritated, like a child losing her temper because the adults wouldn’t give her the toy she wanted.
The ground started to ice up with Nona as the center; and the ice was extending unceasingly.
Su Bai subconsciously moved to the door. But when he pushed the door, he felt a severe pain from his palm— his hand was injured by the cold. The door and all the windows were iced up all at once and were solidly frozen.
Ego looked around and found that not only the entrances were frozen but also the walls, and the whole room had become an ice locker!
“F*ck!”
Ego cursed in his mind and turned his sight towards the door. Then, the door trembled sharply, shook off some ice and frost, but still remained closed.
Nona cried hoa.r.s.ely and threw herself at him again. Ego had to turn his attention back to her; he stretched out a hand as if he was holding something, and Nona just paused in the air.
Next, Ego waved his hand down as if he was smas.h.i.+ng something.
“Bang!”
Nona was violently smashed against the ground.
Ego kept waving his hand…
Nona was smashed to the ground again and again.
“Bang!”
“Bang!”
“Bang!”
But it became the most awkward situation: even though Nona was smashed repeatedly, such brutal physical attack couldn’t hurt her very much since she was already dead and had become a special kind of zombie. It was like bouncing a volleyball against the floor; the volleyball would never be destroyed in this way.
Gradually, Ego’s forehead started to sweat. It was cold sweat because he suddenly realized that he could do nothing with this Nona except temporarily restrict her. But how long could he hold on with his willpower?
His willpower wasn’t endless; in fact, he was already starting to run out of energy.
Su Bai was observing everything around them. However, to his surprise, his extreme desire for blood seemed to have be weakened a lot. The piercing chill and the bloodthirst had mixed up and somehow reached a delicate balance.
It was a strange feeling, but at least Su Bai could tell one thing for sure: such chill seemed to be helpful for controlling the side effect on his body. Though such discovery didn’t seem to be very significant right now. He could also see through the fight between Ego and Nona; although Ego seemed to have prevailed and Nona was tossed up and down like a broken doll, actually, Ego was already on the decline while Nona was still well and alive, as if the more she was smashed, the more vigorous she would become.
Besides, this room had been completely turned into an ice locker by Nona. The consequences would be worse than anything imaginable if it continued like that.
“Any idea? Work on it!”
Ego shouted to Su Bai. Apparently, everyone in the Dreadful Radio Game was practical. One moment, someone would try to kill you for rewards, the next moment, he would consider you in the same boat and totally forget about your enmity before.
Su Bai didn’t answer for a moment. He was trying to think. He remembered that Nona had gone to Director Zhou and frozen the entire office, but she couldn’t kill him and had to flee.
Then how did Director Zhou beat Nona?
Su Bai was thinking desperately.
“F*ck! I’m gonna die this time! I’ll be doomed!”
Ego was still cursing. Now he was on longer looked like a master or a fighter.
“Stall her for me.”
Su Bai suddenly said.
Hearing this, Ego felt hope again and immediately concentrated his remaining willpower. The blue light in his eyes suddenly grew stronger, and Nona was forced to stay where she was.
Su Bai approached and nipped Nona’s neck. There was a dark bruise. That was the wound, or to be more exact, that was the real cause of Nona’s death!
Su Bai’s sharp nails and fingers were all pressed on that spot. Nona’s face changed, and she started to struggle furiously. Her body was s.h.i.+vering continuously, and Su Bai felt as if he was going to be bounced off.
But this also proved that this spot was definitely Nona’s fatal weakness!
“Suppress her! Now!”
Su Bai shouted to Ego.
Ego growled in wrath, and his eyes started bleeding. Apparently, he was sparing no willpower or even squeezing his own energy, which Su Bai’s somehow respected. Although Ego was sort of crazy, he was never sloppy about what he should do; especially when it came to his own life, he would become terrifically courageous and resolute. Only a person like this could fit in the Dreadful Radio Game and survive longer.
Instantly, Nona became motionless. But Su Bai got another problem: no matter how hard he pinched with his fingers and nails, he could only make Nona suffer a little more, but he couldn’t kill her or injure her, while Ego by his side was obviously almost exhausted. Once Ego ran out of strength, both of them would die straightaway.
Su Bai suddenly felt that this situation was very familiar. As far as he could remember, it had happened in the story world of paper men: Childe Hai was in a stalemate with the paper men, depending on him to work out something to end the fight.
However, he didn’t seem to have any better idea, and there was no proper tool within his reach; everything was frozen and there was nothing sharp that he could use as a weapon. Su Bai subconsciously took out his gun and fired at Nona’s neck, but it was useless; the bullet didn’t come out.
Frozen?
Su Bai suddenly felt so absurd. How cold was it here? Even a gun could be frozen? Then why wasn’t he feeling any severe cold?
Maybe it was the neutralization of his blood thirst and the chill? Was it so tremendous?
Su Bai closed his eyes. He knew that it was not a right time to think about this since their time was running out.
d.a.m.n it!
Let’s fight it out!
He lowered his head, opened his mouth and bit Nona’s neck without hesitation.
His two fangs went into Nona’s wound.
After that, he quivered out of coldness. He felt as if his fangs were frozen right away, and all his senses were gone. But the next moment, Su Bai’s eyes widened in astonishment.
Blood…
Warm blood!
Nona’s blood…
…was still warm!
