Chapter 201

Su Bai normally checked his victim's corpses for valuable items after killing them, but what disappointed him was that other than a flying sword on the Qi Master, there was nothing else. Apart from his clothes, there was not even a single jewellery.

"This type of Qi Master is no different from an ascetic, attaching themselves to monarchs not for fame and fortune, but merely for that strand of emperor's imperial qi." The monk coughed and said to Su Bai.

Su Bai placed the sword in his hands. There were patterns on the sword which should be a type of formation array, but it was not very useful for Su Bai. It would be different in the hands of other people. Su Bai remembered he had received a wand in his last story world. Sophia even said she would contact him to carry out a transaction in London. The grade of this flying sword might not be high since this was not a xianxia story world, but it could already be considered not bad. It was reckoned that Fatty would be thirsting to own it. At that time, he could use this to exchange some items with Fatty.

The monk did not fight with Su Bai over the sword. He checked the guest house entrance; sounds from wave after wave of horse hooves could be heard. It was obvious that a cavalry was rus.h.i.+ng over.

"That's a lot of people." Su Bai pursed his lips. "Do we leave now or continue stalling?"

The monk shook his head. "Let's leave. We won't be able to leave once we are surrounded if those westerners can't hold on and we keep tarrying."

"That's true."

Su Bai climbed out the window, and the monk followed closely behind as they both went down together. As they touched the ground, a group of soldiers not far away found them and were already spurring their horses over.

"Enter the forest, split up." Su Bai looked at the monk, "You shouldn't have a problem, right?"

The monk knew what Su Bai meant. He felt that he was still concealing his strength, so it would be better to simply part ways. On the surface, it was splitting up, but in fact, Su Bai was dissatisfied with him concealing his ability.

As they both went their own way, the soldiers behind hesitated for a moment before splitting into two groups to continue the chase.

There were ten or more soldiers chasing Su Bai. Luckily, this was a forest and the soldiers couldn't pick up their pace and surround him, so Su Bai could continue to maintain a safe distance. It was not that Su Bai was afraid of the ten or so soldiers behind. If he was entangled and more Qing soldiers gathered, supposedly around a hundred people, just delaying them would get himself killed.

Su Bai could already see the river in front of him, and the soldiers behind had not chased up. He felt more settled at the moment, but something unexpected occurred. A white silhouette appeared at the other side of Su Bai. That person was holding a longsword, wearing white training clothes with a golden dragon embroidered on the chest and back.

That person's temperament and expression was familiar to Su Bai because he had killed a Qi Master earlier. Now a second one appeared, and this time, it was a female who looked like she was in her forties. She was obviously a little older, but her immortal characteristics were obvious. A Qi Master's lifespan was usually longer, and they don't appear old. This woman might look like she was in her forties, but perhaps she was in her sixties or even older, a live and kicking old granny.

That woman's sight came across the sword on Su Bai's back, and she fulminated, "You killed my disciple!"

Before the voice faded away, that woman was already rapidly approaching Su Bai. No matter how hard Su Bai ran, he had no way of ditching her and she was closing in on him. When they were only less than ten metres away, that sword in her hand flew out and pierced towards Su Bai. Su Bai had no choice but to roll over to evade that flying sword, but his speed had gradually slowed down. The woman has already closed in, and the soldiers behind were closing in.

Su Bai felt fl.u.s.tered since his route of retreat was blocked and he was almost caught.

This old woman was obviously fuming with rage and no longer had the mental state of a Qi Master. After the flying sword return to her grip, it immediately shot towards Su Bai again.

Su Bai was half lying on the ground. He applied strength to his waist and clapped both his hands to the surface of the ground; his whole body soared up. One leg thrust towards that old woman; she s.h.i.+fted her sword and the sword blade slanted. Su Bai threaded on the sword blade; the woman hit the sword hilt with a single palm as a vibrato sounded out. The sword blade trembled. Su Bai could feel his leg going numb as his whole body fell onto the ground.

The woman did not hesitate to take a step forward and pierced towards Su Bai's chest with her sword.

Su Bai was holding on to Excorciser all this while and swept out immediately; the dagger and sword collided. The opponent was obviously stronger and had the advantage of overwhelming superiority against Su Bai. Su Bai felt pain in his wrist and webbings of his hand, and Excorciser flew out from his grip. His opponent's sword tip s.h.i.+fted away, but it still pierced the far left of Su Bai's abdomen which meant that Su Bai had been nailed to the ground.

Su Bai got ready subconsciously to transform into the zombie state. Just as green light flashed in his eyes, a paper amulet flew out from the woman's palm and stuck on Su Bai's forehead.

A suppressive force covered Su Bai's whole body, and the zombie's evil energy was sent back. Su Bai lifted his body, but he was struck back heavily to the ground.

His opponents had obviously observed them for a long time and had deep understanding towards them. Su Bai was dumbstruck. If those westerners did not disrupt things earlier, he wouldn't even have the chance to kill that Qi Master.

"You killed my disciple, heh heh, I won't let you off easily. I also won't give you a quick ending. I will make your life a living h.e.l.l!" That woman was obviously hysterical.

The soldiers rushed over shortly. A portion of them dismounted from their horse and locked Su Bai in chains.

"Do not remove the amulet on his forehead, and do not kill him." The woman left shortly after giving this order. It was obvious that her target were the other preys and Su Bai was just one of the captured.

The amulet on his forehead has a terrifying attractive force. Su Bai personally felt that it was even more secure than 502 Super Glue[1]. It felt as if it was growing together with his skin and flesh. Su Bai felt that Fatty's skill in sticking amulets and this had a gap as wide as the Pacific Ocean.

Su Bai was blindfolded and locked in a metal cage along the way. Then he could feel that a s.h.i.+p was transporting him because he could hear the sound of waves as well as feel the floor shaking.

That woman was not planning to give him a quick ending and chose to slowly torture him. This was good news for Su Bai. As long as Fatty and company could bring the little fella to the demon cave before he was tortured to death, then the story this time would come to an end and he would be summoned back to the real world, leaving this darned place.

These Manchurian Qing Qi Masters were powerful but couldn't be considered much in front of Dreadful Radio.

After travelling for about seven days, from sea voyage back to land and swaying in the horse carriage for another two days, everything still felt realistic. When they removed the black cloth on his head and put him into a cage made of fine iron, Su Bai suddenly felt that things were quite preposterous.

'It's been almost ten days, what the h.e.l.l are Fatty and co. doing? Ten days and they still haven't brought the child into the demon cave?'

Ten days of time... no matter how low the efficiency of an old lady with menopause, things that should be settled would have been settled and she should be on her way back already. Could it be that he really would have a taste of Manchurian Qing's torture chamber[2] by that old woman?

This… is really interesting...

"Hey, hey..."

At this moment, there was another iron cage placed one metre away next to Su Bai. There was an old man wearing Confucian scholar robes. The old man was receiving better treatment than Su Bai. At least there were no shackles on him and he was holding a book. There were many more books on the floor and a writing brush. Moreover, there was even a jug of wine.

Meanwhile, Su Bai was bound by seven or eight shackles, with both feet hung in mid-air. Comparing the treatment of both parties was odious.

Su Bai looked towards the old man. His hair was messy but his eyes are limpid, bearing the posture of Old Imp[3]. "Young man, I can see you are smiling; really interesting. The others who came in here looked as if their parents had died, but you are smiling."

"My parents pa.s.sed away long ago." Su Bai replied.

"Oh, sorry. Me and my big mouth." The old man gentle slapped his mouth and stopped talking to Su Bai. He sat by the iron cage and started to use his writing brush to draw and circle on the book.

"What are you looking at?"

Since he had nothing better to do, Su Bai might as well find someone to talk to ease his pressure because he was feeling a little terrified when thinking about the next encounter with that old woman.

"

.[4]" The old man scratched his head as if he were catching lice and then blew his finger. "This

has been revised too many times by the previous dynasties. The imperial court sent their Qi Masters to capture me to amend it."

"Revising it is harder than amending it." Su Bai said.

"Hey, young man, what you said is what I am feeling. The former portion is no problem for me since it is just composing based on history books. But the latter portion, tut tut, I have to compose 'the iron hoop of the bucket is evergreen'[5] which is too pressing."

At this moment, a white silhouette walked over. The old man immediately turned away, keeping Su Bai at a distance. Her subordinate opened the door, and the old woman walked in. Su Bai could see that there was an additional scar on her face, and she really looked like Abbess Miejue[6].

The old woman smiled at Su Bai and said, "You are very lucky, I am in a bad mood, and I won't torture you for too long. My methods will be more extreme, and you wouldn't last very long."

"I believe we can go about something little by little without a let-up. You can keep me locked up in here and torture me for about a year. Let me feel better off dead every day. Then it is considered venting your hatred, since I'm the one who killed your disciple, right?"

"Puuuu..."

The old man choked and purposely tried to cover with a cough.

The old woman's smile did not change. She stretched her arm out, gripping on to Su Bai's Excorciser and then without any superfluous words, stabbed Excorciser towards the crotch of Su Bai's pants...
