Chapter 2435 Lightning Pupil! IOU! Heavenly Lightning Mountain! Challenge! (3)

The three-eyed lightning-element warrior felt a bit bewildered by this man's thought process. Nonetheless, the Universe Bank was indeed a.s.sociated with wealth. Reluctantly acknowledging his boast, he nodded, "Well, I guess I'm just a little wealthier than ordinary warriors."

"Is that so?" w.a.n.g Teng stroked his chin, saying, "That makes things easier. How much money are you planning to use to redeem yourself?"

"What?" The three-eyed lightning-element warrior stared blankly at w.a.n.g Teng, seeming to have trouble understanding his meaning.

"I'm asking how much money you're planning to pay me to buy yourself back," w.a.n.g Teng repeated.

This time, the three-eyed lightning-element warrior finally caught on. This b.a.s.t.a.r.d in front of him was trying to extort him, which was utterly outrageous.

However, when he saw the Lightning Slap in w.a.n.g Teng's hand, he had nowhere to vent his anger. He could only grit his teeth and say, "I don't have any money!"

"You said you were wealthy, didn't you? Are you lying to me?" w.a.n.g Teng's expression turned cold as he stared at the three-eyed lightning-element warrior.

"I" The three-eyed lightning-element warrior was at a loss, wis.h.i.+ng he could slap himself silly.

Why did he have to boast about it?

Now, he was being extorted.

He felt so bitter. He should've checked the almanac before going out. Otherwise, how could he have encountered such a jinx?

"Hurry up, don't waste my time," w.a.n.g Teng urged.

"I really don't have any money. I spent all my savings to enter the Realm s.p.a.ce," the three-eyed lightning-element warrior said.

"Really?" w.a.n.g Teng looked at him skeptically.

"I swear, if I'm lying, I'll be struck dead by lightning right here," the three-eyed lightning-element warrior said.

w.a.n.g Teng believed him, looking at the guy in front of him with a strange expression. To make a lightning-element warrior say such words, he had to believe him. He just didn't expect this guy to be a pauper, which annoyed him.

The three-eyed lightning-element warrior looked at w.a.n.g Teng cautiously, hoping he would just let him go.

Unfortunately

He didn't understand w.a.n.g Teng.

"Here's the deal, you write me an IOU, and when you have the money next time, you pay me back." w.a.n.g Teng stroked his chin.

"An an IOU!" The three-eyed lightning-element warrior's eyes widened in disbelief as he looked at w.a.n.g Teng.

"Yes, an IOU. Otherwise, I'll just kill you and kick you out of the Realm s.p.a.ce," w.a.n.g Teng said.

"How much money do you want?" The three-eyed lightning-element warrior's expression soured, but under w.a.n.g Teng's coercion, he had no choice but to yield.

"100 Chaos Coins!" w.a.n.g Teng boldly named his price.

"100 Chaos Coins!!!" The three-eyed lightning-element warrior looked at w.a.n.g Teng incredulously. How dare you ask for this much? Those are Chaos Coins, not Universe Coins. Does this guy think I am an eternal-stage warrior?

Seeing his reaction, w.a.n.g Teng couldn't help but scratch his nose. It seemed like he was asking for too much.

After all, he was just a heaven-stage martial warrior. Even if he came from the Universe Bank, he probably didn't have that much money.

He forgot that he was using his own standards to judge the wealth of these geniuses, which seemed a bit unscientific.

Even universe-stage martial warriors might not have as much money as him.

"Ahem, so how much do you have?" w.a.n.g Teng coughed dryly, asking.

"At most 30 billion UC," the three-eyed lightning-element martial warrior replied.

"30 billion UC? Are you calling me a beggar? You're treating me like a beggar. No, at least 100 billion," w.a.n.g Teng said.

"Fine, 100 billion UC it is," the three-eyed lightning-element warrior said bluntly.

"Oh d.a.m.n, I asked for too little," w.a.n.g Teng raised the Lightning Slap in his hand, glaring at the three-eyed lightning-element warrior. "You're trying to fool me!"

"I didn't try to fool you, you're the one who said 100 billion Universe Coins," the three-eyed lightning-element warrior said innocently.

w.a.n.g Teng felt frustrated. He didn't expect to eat humble pie himself, but since he had already said it, he couldn't back out. He could only reluctantly say, "Finish writing the IOU and get lost."

"How do I write an IOU here?" the three-eyed lightning-element martial warrior asked.

w.a.n.g Teng:

That's true!

There was no substantial thing in the Realm s.p.a.ce. Even if he writes an IOU, he couldn't take it out.

The three-eyed lightning-element warrior looked at the black-haired youth before him, feeling a sense of relief. This guy might be powerful, but his mind didn't seem to be the sharpest tool in the shed.

"What's with that look?" w.a.n.g Teng glared at him impatiently.

"Nothing," the three-eyed lightning-element warrior replied.

w.a.n.g Teng looked around and suddenly brightened up. "I got it."

Without further ado, he dragged the three-eyed lightning-elemental warrior towards the small hill where the latter had been practicing earlier. There were many boulders scattered around, and w.a.n.g Teng picked the largest one. With the power of the Heaven-Earth Calamity Lightning surging in his hand, he began to write on the rock.

The three-eyed lightning-element martial warrior felt the corners of his eyes twitching.

What was this?

Who writes an IOU on a stone? This guy was breaking new ground.

He was at a loss for words.

Soon enough, w.a.n.g Teng finished writing the IOU on the stone and asked, "What's your name?"

"Devin," the three-eyed lightning-element warrior replied without hesitation.

"Real name!" w.a.n.g Teng shot him a sideways glance. "Don't try to fool me. You definitely don't want to see the consequences unless you're done entering this Realm s.p.a.ce."

The three-eyed lightning-element warrior sighed, "Tim!"

w.a.n.g Teng sneered, carving the name onto the giant rock. "Alright, you can leave now."

"I still want to practice here," Tim said.

"Suit yourself," w.a.n.g Teng smiled, turning away. He waved his hand without looking back. "Until we meet again."

Tim's eyes flashed with reluctance as he watched w.a.n.g Teng's departing figure. Clenching his fists, he then looked at the inscription on the boulder, preparing to erase the words.
