Chapter 2409 Towards the World Island! Purple Flame True G.o.d! (4)
"Excellent!" Rofort was overjoyed. Though he had antic.i.p.ated that w.a.n.g Teng wouldn't refuse, completing the task smoothly was the best outcome. He spoke, "The signing ceremony will take place on the World Island at our Virtual Universe headquarters. Please follow me."
w.a.n.g Teng's eyes s.h.i.+mmered momentarily as he nodded.
Subsequently, the two entered the virtual universe. This time, w.a.n.g Teng followed Rofort, a high-ranking member of the Virtual Universe Corporation, into the virtual world. Rofort's authority allowed them direct access to the corporation's headquarters.
It was an immensely vast island. When w.a.n.g Teng entered the virtual universe, he descended from the sky above this island, getting a glimpse of its overall appearance.
The World Island was huge, larger than any island w.a.n.g Teng had ever seen before.
He felt that even the seven continents of the Seven Stellar Academies might not match the scale of this island.
He couldn't help but admit that the Virtual Universe Corporation's reach was far beyond that of any other faction.
Of course, with w.a.n.g Teng's current realm and perspective, he couldn't determine the true strength balance between the Seven Stellar Academies and the Virtual Universe Corporation.
The World Island stretched endlessly, with towering peaks that seemed to pierce the void. w.a.n.g Teng couldn't see their summits.
On the island, there were numerous segmented areas, with many s.p.a.cecraft and martial warriors bustling about in each region. From a distance, they looked even smaller than ants.
Above the island, countless stars and celestial bodies floated, including stars, white dwarfs, supergiants, black holes, and more. In front of the island, they were mere specks, insignificant and tiny.
w.a.n.g Teng felt a sense of awe. It was truly astonis.h.i.+ng. The Virtual Universe Corporation's virtual headquarters was in such a place.
"Welcome to the World Island!" Rofort spoke with a smile. "Only the core members of the Virtual Universe Corporation have the qualification to enter this place. Once you sign the contract, you'll have the privilege to access this island."
"I wonder what the real headquarters would be like," w.a.n.g Teng mused.
"It will only be more astonis.h.i.+ng," Rofort chuckled. "You'll have the opportunity to visit it someday, though it will take quite some time to travel through s.p.a.ce. Our Virtual Universe Corporation's real headquarters is no less impressive than the Seven Stellar Academies."
w.a.n.g Teng's eyes gleamed with curiosity as he nodded.
"Let's go," Rofort said.
A ma.s.sive s.p.a.cecraft flew automatically towards them from afar, stopping in front of the two. The doors opened automatically, and Rofort stepped in first.
w.a.n.g Teng followed closely behind.
The s.p.a.cecraft swiftly soared towards a towering mountain peak on World Island. Before long, it gently descended, and w.a.n.g Teng and Rofort stepped out, landing on the mountaintop. Majestic and ancient palaces appeared before w.a.n.g Teng's eyes.
"This way." Rofort led the way towards a ma.s.sive palace.
"Lord Rofort!"
12 universe-stage martial warriors stood on either side of the palace, serving as guards. Upon seeing Rofort, they immediately saluted respectfully.
Rofort nodded expressionlessly and proceeded to lead w.a.n.g Teng inside.
The universe-stage martial warriors exchanged glances with each other. Their gazes landed on w.a.n.g Teng. They were extremely surprised.
They could tell that the black-haired youth was merely a cosmos-stage warrior. Yet, he walked side by side with Lord Rofort, which was unbelievable. Who exactly was he?
"Rofort!"
At this moment, a middle-aged warrior with long purple hair clad in battle armor emerged from the palace.
"Eternal-stage ruler!" w.a.n.g Teng's pupils constricted. This was another eternal-stage ruler.
Eternal-stage rulers were terrifying beings no matter where they were. The fact that another one appeared so casually in the Virtual Universe Corporation was inconceivable.
"Halen!" Rofort halted slightly upon seeing the man and nodded.
"Is this the person the Lord wants to see?" The middle-aged man with purple hair looked at w.a.n.g Teng with keen interest and inquired.
"Yes." Rofort nodded.
"Hurry, the Lord is waiting for you," the middle-aged man with purple hair said.
Rofort didn't say much and led w.a.n.g Teng into the palace.
The Lord?! w.a.n.g Teng was shocked. To be addressed as 'the Lord' by an eternal-stage ruler, it was likely that this person was a true deity!
A G.o.d-stage existence wanted to see him?
Halen watched w.a.n.g Teng's figure with a flash of brilliance in his eyes.
The 12 universe-stage martial warriors exchanged glances and immediately discussed in hushed tones.
Rofort led w.a.n.g Teng through a long corridor to the outside of a grand hall and pushed open the doors.
Boom!
The doors were incredibly heavy, and as they swung open, they emitted a
deafening roar.
A faint light shone from within the doors, falling on w.a.n.g Teng's face, causing
him to squint slightly.
"Please." Rofort gestured.
w.a.n.g Teng nodded slightly and stepped in first. The first thing that caught his eye was an immensely tall divine throne, upon which sat a figure that was both towering and indistinct.
The figure was shrouded in a dense radiance, making it difficult to see clearly. However, the eyes were exceptionally bright and profound as if they could see through everything. They fell on w.a.n.g Teng, increasing the pressure on him.
Such formidable pressure! w.a.n.g Teng felt shocked. His breath momentarily stagnated and he was unable to move his feet.
