"Run. And keep running. And one day, when we've grown strong enough, we will take back everything they took from us; This Flower and this Pond."
That was all that was said, but he knew it meant so much. Whichever girl had posted the page must have known that he was hunted and still wanted for questioning, but she didn't ask for him to contact her or anything. She simply wanted him to get stronger. Strong enough that no one could threaten him. She hadn't forgotten about him. And she was doing her best to get stronger as well.
Laz turned away from the page, hiding his face from Vivi who was looking at him with a knowing smile. Laz quickly wiped away a few tears from his eyes before turning back. Vivi didn't make fun of him for this for only she knew how much pain he had been in since they had been on the run. Perhaps to others, Like Leona and Leo, he was some sort of tough guy, a loner warrior who could survive. But underneath it all, he was still a 16 year old. Time and events had led him to be strong and to keep growing stronger, but he was still very much alone. Vivi knew this as she was the one who slept in his bed every night so she knew how he had hidden his sorrow. Laz wasn't made of stone.
When Laz had collected himself, he turned back to Vivi.
"How long did you know about this?"
*Only in the last few days. I had similar thoughts about people needing to know what we know if they were ever going to defend themselves, especially after what happened with the a.s.shat Brian. I was going to tell you when you weren't so busy with other things, but since you asked me about it tonight, I figured I would share.*
Laz knew what Vivi was trying to do. Although he felt a little angry at first for not telling him about it, he knew it was because she didn't want to see him distracted. Besides, the feelings he had for this little sister of his wouldn't change.
"So, you signed up and everything?"
*Yes.*
"You didn't by chance get a hold of whoever made the site, did you?" Laz asked a little hopefully.
*No. And it's better if I don't. There are too many risks involved if this sight is being monitored. That's why everyone speaks in generals and never mentions where they are, who they are, or what they are. But those who know can follow the relevant info.*
"Ah. I see."
*No you don't, but trust me on this.* Vivi said with a smirk.
"Yeah. Alright." Laz didn't understand. Although he was the kid born in the modern age, Vivi was the one who was into the social life. She was way better with computers than him as well, making him wonder how she could type so fast with her paws.
"What user name did you go with anyway?" Laz asked, a little curious.
*MajesticWolfPrincess.*
Laz's eyebrows twitched for a few seconds before he took a breath.
'Probably best I don't use her account.' This thought lead to Laz wanting to make his own account but Vivi told him it was better that he didn't.
"Why not?"
*Well, for one, I will give you any useful information I find. Two, you will spend too much time looking for the creator and will probably scare them off. After all, you can say that you're Laz, but that doesn't mean they will believe you and it might cause them to bolt and close the site.*
Laz could only nod his head and agree as that was one of his plans.
*Anyway, you've got other concerns now, like that girl Leona and apparently that girl Ruby. And to top it all off, you've now got a share in an all girl a.s.sa.s.sin organization on top of you working within the Hearn group. I would say you should focus on this and leave the social stuff to me,* Vivi reminded him. It was all true. He was knee deep into may different things right now and the last thing he needed to was go digging up something that might just cause problems for one of the girls.
*Alright, let's go to bed. You've got another long night tomorrow night.*
As Laz made his way back to the bed, Vivi quickly took one last look at the web page before closing the laptop. There was something else that he probably wanted to know about, but she wasn't going to tell him because she had an idea of how he would react. She just hoped that he never got on there to see that an organization was forming, calling themselves the "Blood Moon." And they used a logo that looked almost exactly like the tattoo that was branded on Laz's chest.
...
After the morning workout with Leona, Reggie and Dee, Laz started getting ready for the night again. He had wanted to talk to Leona for a bit longer but Reggie and Dee wouldn't leave without her, totally not noticing the mood. Laz had no way to telling Leona about his new job and she had mentioned she was being dragged out by some friends from school and wouldn't be around in the afternoon and evening anyway.
As Laz got to the club, he went in like normal, but noticed that the gaze's from the other employees were much more respectful than the previous night when Leo had introduced him to everyone. They all finally understood that this rather thin and sickly looking, albeit handsome, guy was actually really dangerous. Or at least he was told all this by Leo when he ran into him.
"You know something? The way you made out the whole encounter sounded rather bland and boring. But then I heard about everything from Arnold and watched the recording and I can't help but wonder if you're made of lead or something. d.a.m.n..." Leo was quite impressed with Laz. He had known Laz was in somewhat tight with people like Tony and someone even higher up, but he had no idea that Laz was actually as tough as he was. It seemed like he had made a good choice hiring him on at such a low price.
"Well, it's all part of the job. That's why you hired me, isn't it?" Laz joked. He knew that Leo had questions about his abilities and had previously questioned about how effective he would be as a body guard. But last night put all those questions to rest.
After Leo finished talking to Laz about a few things, he went off to make sure things were set while Laz did his normal walk around. Since he already had a good idea about the layout of the club, this time he was simply looking at different means of entry and escape and using his sense to see what kinds of things he had originally missed. As it was, he found himself located around the girls dressing room again. This time, he wasn't going in.
As he walked past and was about to exit back to the main rooms, a hand reached out of the door and pulled him inside before he could protest. Although he could have stopped himself, he recognized the hand and let it drag him. Sure enough, it was Ruby who was standing there in a black, reflective dress with a smile on her face.
"Can you do my hair again?" She asked while dragging him over to the mirror without waiting for a reply.
Although Laz tried to resist the temptation, he couldn't help but look around the room. Just like the previous night, he was once again greeted with many tempting bits of eye candy in various stages of undress. When they saw who it was though, they ended up rus.h.i.+ng over to him.
"Wow. You're were f.u.c.king awesome last night."
"How did you get so strong?"
"You took Jimmy down with just one hand."
Many different compliments and questions a.s.saulted Laz all at once, leaving him feeling at a loss as to what he was suppose to say.

"Back off girls. He's got to do my hair again." Ruby dragged him free from the sea of females who still ended up circling around him as he began doing Ruby's hair. Even though most of the girls in the room were taller than him, they couldn't help but stare at him with some desire in their eyes. Laz was a rather tempting piece for these girls. He was friends with the owner, handsome in a brooding sort of way with his pale skin and obviously quite tough. Even if he wasn't long term relations.h.i.+p material, he would be a rather exciting sort term fling.
As Laz finished up Ruby's hair, the bolder blonde from the other day couldn't help but reach out and grab his arm, giving it a bit of a squeeze. Sure enough, she felt his rock like muscles underneath.
"OH... He really is muscular," she commented, giving him a few more squeezes for good measure. It was actually a topic of conversation among them since he wasn't the kind of guy who wore tight clothes to show off his body. Seeing the blonde that had taken the lead, the other girls started feeling him all over as though he was some sort of specimen.
"Hey..." Ruby tried to help him out, but was quickly out voted.
"No fair Ruby. We saw you dance with him yesterday so it's our turn to check out the new guy," one of the girls said who was currently rubbing Laz's chest. Laz could only look on helplessly since it wasn't like he could fight his way out. He took a quick peak at the door to look for an opportunity to run, only to find that two girls had already placed chairs in front of the door and were sitting on them while watching him.
"How is he this developed?" The brunette from the previous day asked. Without waiting for Laz's opinion, she quickly flipped his s.h.i.+rt up and almost ripped it off of him, leaving him standing in front of the crowd bare chested. The light from the dressing room was soft and soothing and gave Laz's well toned body a thin glow due to his pale skin. All of the girls were taken aback by the rock solid youth who was now standing before them, causing them to start to hesitate to even touch him. He was like every girl's dark fantasy lover, even if he was a little on the short side.
Seeing her opportunity, Ruby grabbed Laz's discarded s.h.i.+rt form the floor and took his hand. After knocking the door guards off their chairs, she dragged him outside the room before stopping. Laz looked at Ruby and then back at the dressing room before looking at Ruby again.
"Next time, you come find me. I'm not going into that wolf's den ever again."
Ruby couldn't help but laugh at the look of helplessness on the young man's face while handing him back his s.h.i.+rt. Laz walked past after giving Ruby a fake glare, causing her to laugh even harder. After he had left, Ruby became rather serious quickly. She had noticed the tattoo on his body when he had been s.h.i.+rtless earlier. She knew the other girls didn't think anything of it, but she certainly did. It looked almost exactly like the image they used to represent the "Black Rose," with the only difference being the tree had been replaced by a rose with black petals. The moon was exactly the same. It was only know she figured out exactly how important this man was to Jade.
After Laz left the hall, he entered into the main downstairs lounge area just in time to see the doors opening. Although Laz wasn't a drinker, he took the opportunity to get a drink from the bar while watching the girls emerge from the hall and get into their starting areas while some slow music with a nice ba.s.s started playing. As Ruby walked past him, she mouth the words 'come find me later,' before heading off. It seemed like the night was going to be anything but boring.
