Chapter 256: Failed Mission

After Quan Jue said this, he lowered his head and sealed Chi Jiao’s lips with a gentle smile.

Chi Jiao had no intention to resist as she obediently responded to his kiss.

The air was instantly filled with sweet factors.

Although Chi Jiao wanted to stay to accompany Quan Jue, Chi Mingwei was worried about letting her stay in the hospital until late at night. Therefore, he personally sent a chauffeur to pick her up.

Quan Jue stood on his side and agreed to let her go home. Chi Jiao had no choice but to give in and return back obediently. She told Quan Jue that she would visit him after school tomorrow.

That night, Quan Yan, who had been waiting for the news at the hotel, finally received a call as expected.

“h.e.l.lo.” Quan Yan hurriedly picked up the call and asked the person on the other end of the line expectantly, “How did it go?”

The person on the other end of the line said coldly, “The mission failed.”

Quan Yan was like an angry lion as he questioned the person on the other end of the call loudly, “What do you mean ‘failed’? Explain to me clearly…! h.e.l.lo? h.e.l.lo?!”

Quan Yan was so angry that he was about to go berserk. He shouted a few times but received no response. He was so angry that he threw his phone onto the ground. “F*ck! How dare you hang up on me!”

Smas.h.i.+ng his phone was still not enough to vent his anger. Quan Yan was like a mad wild beast, thras.h.i.+ng around and throwing things in the hotel. Even the bedsheets had been torn apart by him.

After destroying most of the things in the hotel room, Quan Yan was utterly tired. He slumped onto the messed-up carpet and panted heavily.

He really couldn’t understand. How could a group of professional mercenaries not be able to handle a small high school student?

Since Quan Yan couldn’t figure it out, he might as well not think about it. He forced himself to take a deep breath and calm down.

“Since the mission has failed, I can’t stay here anymore. I have to hurry back and think of another way,” Quan Yan said, his heart bleeding with pity.

It was truly a pity that he couldn’t get rid of Quan Jue at the best possible time. He had no other choice but to leave this place first. He would think of a solution after he returned to Shang Jing.

But before leaving, he had to make a trip to the hospital to see Jun Hongbo.

When he thought about this, Quan Yan couldn’t sit still anymore. He picked up his car keys and rushed to the hospital.

Since Jun Hongbo had been beaten up so miserably by Chi Jiao, he would definitely be hospitalized. However, what Quan Yan didn’t expect was that he would coincidentally be staying in the same hospital as Quan Jue.

Quan Yan told Jun Hongbo about his intention to leave.

Jun Hongbo seemed to be in thought as he said, “Young Master is right. Since our mission has failed, we should head back and prepare first before taking action again. It’s just that Quan Jue just had an accident. If we leave immediately… Wouldn’t it be a little too obvious?”

Jun Hongbo’s words caused Quan Yan to frown. “How troublesome. In that case, should I leave or not?”

Jun Hongbo thought for a moment. “I think you can visit him, Young Master.”

Disdain was written all over Quan Yan’s face. On second thought, he felt that what he said made sense. “That’s right. If I were to hide and escape, it would seem suspicious. I might as well send myself straight to his door. When the time comes, Quan Jue won’t be able to figure me out and will instead be helpless against me. Elder Jun, you’re really my think tank.”
