Chapter 1563: Cole’s Death, With A Heart Like Stone

But it’s alright, he did not have any regrets.

Because right now, Gu Mengmeng only had him in her eyes.

Ah Gu, didn’t you always want me to be in pain and wish that I could die? Now, your wish is fulfilled so don’t blink, don’t turn away, just look at me like that.

Look at me once before I die…..just once….I beg you.

What a pity, Gu Mengmeng was destined to not hear of Cole’s plead.

Her entire heart was hung on Elvis and Lea. She threw Cole’s heart on the ground without hesitation and turned around to run out of the cave in search of Elvis and Lea without an ounce of reluctance to leave.

She did not see how his heart, that was dripping wet with blood, slowly turned into a stone after rolling on the ground the moment she turned her head away.

With a heart like stone, he was just wis.h.i.+ng for something unattainable….

His heart did not even die when she pierced through his chest. But when she left without hesitation, it was when he suffered the most pain.

He did not ask for much, he just wanted her to look at him once more.

But this last wish he had before he died became a extravagant craving….

She never loved him before so she would not share a single bit of her softness with him….

Ah Gu, you always said that I was vicious.

But how was I as vicious…..as you?

In the end, Cole breathed his last breath, with his troubling eyes looking faraway at the direction Gu Mengmeng left him.

A piece of light green object pieced through his right chest, growing into a sprout at the speed of lightning.

If Gu Mengmeng still recalled, the spot where the sprout grew was the spot where she dug the hole on his chest when Oakley died….

Outside the cave, Gu Mengmeng plopped on the ground. With one hand, she hugged Elvis whose chest had a huge hole and whose heart had went missing and with her other hand, she clamored onto Lea who was bleeding from all seven apertures. Lifting her head at the skies, she bawled and cried until she could not make a single sound.

No words could describe the sorrow she was feeling.

At the same time, seven rays of light appeared out of nowhere.

The Love of the Sky and Tear of the Beast Deity on Gu Mengmeng, the two hearts in the cave: Spirit of the Rocky Cliffs and Heart of the Desert, the Soul of the Forest which grew out from Cole’s left chest, the Key of the Beast King from the Motou Mountains and the Kiss of the Ocean from Zacharias….

Gu Mengmeng’s body grew weak and she lost consciousness, fainting in the midst of all the light rays.

Her consciousness was trapped in chaos and she did not know where she was.

It felt as if she was a wandering soul, watching this world from a third-person perspective.

The setting in front of her was not the Beast World but….

But the present world?

The scene was situated in a lavish lobby. There were many people in the lobby, clad in flashy clothes as they gathered together, whispering amongst themselves.

Gu Mengmeng walked closer to them and noticed a European-style sofa in the middle of the crowd. An aging old man and a youthful lady was sitting on it.

Isn’t the lady…..her?

Gu Mengmeng was still deep in confusion when she felt the world spinning, as if she made countless somersaults. Her vision was switched once again and she became the lady sitting on the sofa.

There was a hand on her shoulder, his fingers well-defined, slim and powerful.

He whispered into her ear, “Don’t be scared, dad and mum will stand up for you. Be obedient and watch on.”

Shocked, Gu Mengmeng turned to look at him, meeting his jade green eyes. After being taken aback for two seconds, she called out, “Sna….kel?”

“Hmm?” Snakel smiled, pinching Gu Mengmeng’s little nose, replying, “Didn’t I tell you to call me by another t.i.tle?”

“Ah Kel?” Gu Mengmeng called out with apprehension.

Snakel leaned down and kissed the top of Gu Mengmeng’s head, a.s.suring her, “Yeah, be good, I’m here.”
