Saleen only inquired about affairs in Metatrin after giving Nailisi her orders. Theisio said that he would send the two level 12 oracles. Saleen had extreme confidence in his teacher, but he would not dare say that Jason would be able to kill the two level 12 oracles.

Saleen thought about it for a bit. Theisio had probably lost control of the oracles after he had fallen. If the oracles regained their freedom, there would be no way that they would throw their lives away fighting Metatrin City.

The two oracles left and were not killed by Jason, which was a reasonable outcome. Saleen thought about it for a bit and felt that things were not good for him. Having succ.u.mbed to Theisio’s control probably meant that they had thoughts about betraying the Lord of Glory.

The next logical step after the oracles regained their freedom was to gain control of the Holy See with a perfect excuse.

With the three G.o.dly items unavailable, there was no equipment capable of restraining them. They would be able to do as they pleased with the people of the Holy See.

The two oracles were far more brutal than Theisio had ever been. If they united the entire Holy See under their rule, there was no doubt that the Holy See would be a much greater disaster.

Even if his teacher advanced, he would only be able to get to level 11. Leaving the Metatrin City’s temple to look for trouble with the oracles would be dangerous.

If Saleen were unable to get to Glorious Plains and get rid of them, the Holy See would grow strong again when the two oracles latched onto an empire.

If any of the sorcerers from Holy Rock City had any funny thoughts, he would be able to cover for her.

The wealth in the cemetery of the giant was enticing, and Saleen was afraid that some of his allies would become treacherous.

After over a dozen days, Nailisi was done extracting the remains of the three G.o.dly items from the Origin Stone of Darkness. The stone had no will of its own and did not know how powerful her collection of the purgatories were.

The 12 Notes of First Purgatory were interconnected. In their eventual forms, every single purgatory would be affected by the other 11.

The Origin Stone of Darkness was thrown into the collection of purgatories and quickly suppressed by the powers of the few purgatories. All of that, coupled with the catalyzing effects of the Genesis Stock Solution, the stone was melded into a part of the 12 Notes of First Purgatory.

The rules of darkness were incapable of surpa.s.sing the rules in the 12 Notes of First Purgatory after all.

Saleen spent the days refining his Thunder Dragon Blaster, gradually wearing down the barrier between the divine persona and the weapon. It was learned from observing the Origin Stone of Darkness. Saleen used bits of electrical power to grind the layer of rule power on the surface of the divine persona.

Saleen was getting rather frustrated and anxious when Lex emerged from the energy barrier, heading for the exit of the cemetery of the giant.

Saleen saw Lex from afar and Lex was all smiles, obviously very happy.

Saleen invoked his territory. Lex was able to sense it from over 60 miles away. The mages behind her also sensed Saleen’s territorial power.

Lex and Gusion knew Saleen’s aura very well, and the smiles on their faces were increasingly obvious. The mages of the Holy Rock City were startled. The power of the territory was very peculiar.

Saleen held himself back and refrained from causing them any pressure, but the mages felt their mental powers and magic chords being slowly drained.

Even though there were no attacks, energy tended to disperse in Saleen’s territory.

Neither mental powers nor magic chords could escape getting worn down. The rate that their powers were being worn was not fast, but in battle, it would be glaringly obvious.

“You’ve finally grown, Saleen!” Lex was very excited. If Saleen had been unable to create his own unique territory, his future prospects would be limited due to the nature of his magic chords.

The territory was so unique that the power of rules that Saleen would be able to master in the future would not be any weaker than other mages.

If he was unable to master such a unique territorial power, Saleen, due to relying only on one type of elemental magic chords, would grow very weak compared to others, and would be be left in the dust by other mages.

Lex was able to see Saleen from over ten miles away. Even level ten mages were not able to see that far without using skills. Lex was able to see him due to the powers of the G.o.d’s Ring. She saw Sika as well.

Why is Sika here? Did something happen to Metatrin City?

Lex was unable to help but take to the air with her mages and warriors, heading towards Saleen.

“No need to rush, Lex,” Saleen went up to her.

A tremendous quake happened somewhere far away. It was the moon in the energy barrier, unleas.h.i.+ng lightning and striking any of the fossilized G.o.ds intending to revive.

Lex laughed as she met up with Saleen. “Let’s get out of here. We can’t stay here for long.”

Saleen did not inquire about the reasons and cast Lightning Constellation to enable the mages from Holy Rock City feel better. No one bothered with formalities, as they were in a hurry. They left the middle layer of the cemetery following Saleen’s lead, coming to the vast caverns outside.

All of the fossilized G.o.ds had been wiped clean with no chance of resurrection. Saleen plugged the exit using the Magical Element Tower, before asking Lex about what happened in the cemetery.

Lex was attacked by the fossilized G.o.ds as soon as she entered. While the lightning moon in the sky would not attack any living beings that were not G.o.ds, it reacted to the invasion. Some low level fossilized G.o.ds were permitted to be resurrected to attack Lex and her people.

While the fossilized G.o.ds were lower levels, they were deemed so in comparison to other fossilized G.o.ds in the barrier.

The G.o.ds who were resurrected were level 12, with some at level 13.

Thanks to Lex’s G.o.d’s Ring, a territory-like power was cast, concealing their presence. The Lightning Moon took control of the fossilized G.o.ds again.

The mages from Holy Rock City were dumbfounded. If it had not been Lex being there to a.s.sist them, there would have been no way for them to leave. Loot distribution aside, it would be impossible to even stay alive.

Lex needed to give hints of her importance to make the mages obediently sign contracts with her. None of the mages had any right to take anything from the cemetery of the giant, unless they were able to kill their way out of the endless waves of fossilized G.o.ds.

All of the mages chose to side with Lex and promised to convince the palace mages of Holy Rock City to do the same. It was not difficult to ask. When Prince Safilos was at odds with Lex, the mages had actually been supporting her in secret.

The palace mages leaned towards having Lex become the empress. However, as Lex’s brother was still alive, none of the mages would do anything to get rid of him. He was a child of Emperor Chanake after all. Everyone was simply waiting for the current emperor to die.

He was in poor health and would not be able to live 80 years. While many toiled to keep him alive with magic medicines, the emperor would not be able to live over 100 years.

Lex, on the other hand, would be able to live over 1000, so she could afford to wait. Her request for them to swear fealty to her was simply bringing the inevitable to an earlier date.

The mages still served Holy Rock City. The contract they signed with Lex had magical binding powers, instead of what the world perceived as showing loyalty. They would follow her regardless if she ended up becoming empress. If a war broke out, they would stand by Lex.

Lex was able to win the mages of Holy Rock City over without doing much.

She took the mages to the core of the cemetery, which had a huge mountain of the giant’s bone crystals.

Jalin did not tell the truth. There were actually 13 mountains: 12 shorter mountains circled the tallest. The head of the giant was placed on top of that mountain.

The other 12 mountains were only bone crystals of the giants, without their heads. Lex dared to be greedy. According to the records of magic notes. Giants were capable of resurrection so long as their heads were intact. The emperor of the First Dynasty, the King of Glory, had constructed the cemetery to resurrect his friend.

No one dared to touch the materials in the mountain in the middle. Lex spent her days in there carefully collecting the other 12 mountains’ bone crystals.

They almost used all the scrolls and equipment acquired from Saleen before Lex was able to cart all 12 mountains away. They managed to capture about 12 fossilized G.o.ds alive while they were at it.

“Capturing the fossilized G.o.ds alive? What’s their level?” Saleen was getting excited.

“Level 11. I advanced to level ten due to having to constantly fight as well. The G.o.d’s Ring would not have been powerful enough to enable us to leave the place alive.”

“The fossilized G.o.ds are capable of coming after us then?”

“Yes, if they are below level 12.”

Saleen was relieved. No fossilized G.o.d below level 12 would be able to push the Magical Element Tower aside.
