The two Black Base champions defending the white lane were two Star Rulers who were complete strangers before this.

There were very few occasions where Star Rulers teamed up to begin with, so there were many loners in the Myriad Heavens Starry Road. But they just had to meet the perfectly-coordinated Ying Ge and Zi Dian combo right at the start, making these two feel somewhat helpless.

This also wasnt the first time that the two from the Black Base had entered Champions World. They knew very well that coordination between champions in a team of two would impact the battle greatly.

Therefore, from the beginning, the two of them never planned to seek any meritorious achievements. Rather, they simply sought to not make mistakes, which was why they hid behind their city wall all this time.
