The show ended rather spectacularly . The suprise was when the spot light landed on Gray and he was called down . The Cerulean sisters were down at the bottom waiting as he moved . The crowd went wild since they were getting to a Gym Battle now .

"So regular battle then elite battle?" Violet asked for confirmation . She was in a refree bathing suit .

"Sounds good to me . " Gray held his Pokeball out . The Gym leader copied it . "They say ladies first . "

"Alright . Go, Starmie!" Daisy sent her first pokemon out somewhat excitied .

Starmie came out and floated before landing . It's back fins spinning before turning the other way .

"Go, G.o.dzilla!" Throwing the ball out, it bounced before it opened . Totodile looked around then focused on the Gym Leader's hands . He liked his lips menacingly . "No biting the pretty gym leader unless she says it's ok . "

"Hmph!" Totodile grunted and shot smoke out of its nose . Looking at Starmie, he wanted to know how tasty the jewel would be . 'Something to test my teeth against!'

"Battle begin!" Soon as the ref said it, Totodile shot off . His mouth already open for bites .

"Starmie, use Agility then Swift . "

"Cha!" It hopped on two of its fins . They glowed with energy for a brief second . With a little hop, it was out of Totodile's way . First move was easy . Starmie moved then, jumped back .

"Snap," Totodile jaws slammed shut right in front of Starmie . A drop of sweat appeared on the Pokemon . It knew it was a close call . The bolts of electricity around Totodiles mouth spooked it .

"Cha!" With a burst of power from fear, it fired the attack off .

"Chew, chew, chew, chew, chew," five stars fired out from its top fin . Slamming into Totodile's belly .

To close for him to dodge out of the way . "Dile!" Flying back, he stopped a few feet from Gray eating dirt . "Grr," staring up angrily . Totodile pointed its claws out . Shaking up and down as he yelled . 'Ok! Ok! You were right . Tell me what to do!' Totodile pinged his thoughts to Gray aggressively .

"Alright, no problem . " Gray said cooly . "Use the move we practice yesterday . "

"Totodile!" Firing more steam from his nose, he started wiggling his tail .

"Bzzt, Bzzt," electrical arcs started to appear in the air . The more Totodile jumped around the battlefield the more steam he let out .

"Have know idea what he is doing? But gonna put a stop to it . Starmie, use Ice Beam!" Daisy was becoming more excited . She felt the fans in the crowd cheering louder behind the screens .

"Chaaa!" Areas of ice shot out from the top fin . 3 chains of an ice current shot off at its target . Totodile just jumped from side to side with ease . For a full minute, the attack went out .

Starmie ran out of steam . "Ding, ding, ding . " It's jewel fading fast . The weird little starfish started to wobble .

"Bzzt," electric arcs traveled to Totodile as it slid across the icy floor . His speed gaining as he moved out . Opening his jaws wide, he went for a bite on Starmie . "Bzzt," the electricity surged with more power .

"Ping!" A yellow dome appeared before dissipating .

"Gym Leader's know a few tricks . I use Protect before Rest without even giving the command . " Daisy had a triumphant look on her face . It disappeared when she saw Gray smirk . 'I have a bad feeling . Why is he so . . unperturbed?'

"Crunch!" A pair of electrical teeth appeared and bit down on Starmie . The teeth mimicked Totodile movements earlier . It went up down and side to side . Then reversed in that order . The final was a throw-down of the mouth .

"Oh no?!" Daisy was concerned by the strength of the attack . That and her Pokemon was still rusty from intense battles . "Can you continue?"

"Draaa!" Starmie woke when it hit the ground . It had the energy to continue its attack . But it was pretty banged up otherwise . "Draaa!"

"Good . Use recover then Swift again!" Daisy composed her self instantly . 'We are still in this!" Gripping her hands tightly she looked ahead . "Give it your best Starmie!"

"G.o.dzilla, use Thunder Fang . " Gray watched and saw both Pokemon and Gym Leader aura rise . It was very fascinating to watch .

"To to dile toto !" Building up for the final strike! He snarled at having to rush . Skating on the ice it slid around the battlefield . The sparks in the air disappearing as he pa.s.sed . The fins on it's back started glowing radiating intense strength . "Totodile!" I am ready! With a dash, Totodile shot across head lowered building speed . His claws sc.r.a.ping the floor .

Right as Starmie finished, he was face to face with Totodile . Who had his jaws wide open . Eyes menacing as it glared .

"Draaa . . . dra . " Starmie was to scared to use Swift . It took one step back before it was bitten . "Dra!" Once encased the electricity went to work paralyzing the Pokemon . It stopped struggling instantly .

"Bzzzzzt," electricity shot out from the sides of Totodile's mouth, while it chomped down . The attack ended . Wrangling the Pokemon a little more, Totodile did not drop his guard till all struggling stopped and no movement could be felt . "Wooosh," hot steam left his snout, dousing the pokemon as he moved . After another shake, he then move to the side and threw Starmie out of the arena . Eyes watching it the entire time . "Bang," it hit the wall hard . "Thud," it drooped after hitting the wall .

"Doom," the light going out as it fainted .

"Ah, good job Starmie . " The Gym leader returned her Pokemon . "Just a minute please . " Daisy handed it over to one of the aids . "Make sure he gets treated really quickly . " The aide nodded and shot off . The crowd went wild with happiness . She turned and watched as Totodile moved to Gray slowly . He didnt move to help the Pokemon in any way . 'After usuing so much power, no way is it still going to battle . He should get him from the arena . At least return him . '

"You OK?" Gray picked Totodile who was standing on wobbly legs . "Guess not . " He returned the Pokemon back to its ball to rest . Waiting patiently for the Gym Leader to continue .

"Sorry about that . Let's continue . " She looked at Gray who said nothing . "Go Cloyster!"

"Thudd!" A loud noise accompanied the arena shaking . This Cloyster was a lot heavier for some reason .

"Clloyy," it gurgles for a little bit with bubbles coming out of the center . The outer sh.e.l.l opening and closing .

"O, boy that is a biggin . " Gray just looked at the Pokemon trying to figure out what they had been feeding it . "Ah, well . Time to test your strength even further . "

Not eve thinking about it, she came out on her own . "Ka dabra!" Get some! Empress stood their proudly . She lifted off the ground and just watched her opponent . Eyes glaring down . She naturally used Intimidate . 'Gray, I am going to show you what I am capable of!'

"Begin!" The referee called out . Violet looked at Empress as if she was a pized trophy . Her eyes sparkling as she watched her float .

"Cloyster, use withdraw!"

"Sching," it was instantly covered in a blue glow . The sh.e.l.l looked even st.u.r.dier .

'You think that will protect you?!' Empress was angry . Pulling the psychic energy in the area it glowed with power . Her defenses dropped but her Speed and Special attack went up .

"Bwoom," in front of Empress a black ball appeared . It grew in strength as she gathered more .

"Cloyster, use Water Gun!" The Pokemon opened its sh.e.l.l and blasted out a torrent of water . It was all packed into the black ball . A cold gift appeared in Empress's eyes . She swallowed the ball .

"What in the blue blazes is this?" Gray was a little caught off guard . 'Where the h.e.l.l did she learn this?'

"Cloyster use Withdraw!" The Gym Leader yelled afraid for some reason . As soon as her Pokemon did so, Empress used Teleport .

"Swoosh," she appeared above of the enclosed Pokemon . Hands glowing in dark energy . Spreading her hands out two spoons appeared .

"Raaaah," Empress gave a yell as she used her power to lift the Cloyster into the air . Once it was ten feet off the ground, the spoons started to bend . "Grrrr," she gritted her teeth as she continued to lift . The spoons bent some more .

"Cloyster use Rapid Spin!" The Gym Leader called out . She watched as her Pokemon tried to follow the order . It jerked once or twice before it stopped . "Ehhh, Cloyster try . . " her voice was cut short as, she watched her Pokemon get lifted above Empress's head . Then sent down to the ground like a piked volleyball .

"Yahh!" Empress yelled as she sent the Pokenon down to the ground . A black ball appearing in her mouth . it absorbed the energy in the air before launching from her mouth spiraling like a corkscrew . She had used a power up Shadow Ball!

"Cras.h.!.+" Cloyster pierced the arena floor . Half the Pokemon was embedded inside . The Shadow Ball smashed down hard, sending it furthur into the ground . "Kaboom!" Dark energy detonating on the area . Shockwaves went out in the arena . The barrier cutting off the crowd fluctuated .

'Empress, that is enough! This is a regular battle . You can not fight that way . You could have killed that Cloyster . ' Gray thought to her as he stared her down . 'If you keep it up, I will forfeit the round . You understand me?'

'Tch!' Empress stared back upset . She did not break contact, but felt he was generally upset at her . 'Fine already . ' She floated down in front of him and waited .

"Cloyster is unable to battle . " The referee declared after a moment . Violet was even more fond of Empress now . 'Such a powerful little Pokemon . I want it!'

"Woah, that was intense . Your quite the dangerous duo . " The Gym leader said as she returned her Pokemon . Daisy felt a little defeated and no longer wanted to battle . "Hmm, my Pokemon need the experience in battle so no . " Gray smiled . "I will keep out my Kadabra so bring out your next Pokemon . Heard you wanted to prove Cerulian was a decent Gym? So bring out your next Pokemon and proved it to your citizens . "

"Alright then . " The Gym Leader touched at the ball on her navel . The ball was not for decoration . It enlarged revealing a regular Pokeball . "Go Wartortle!"

"Warrr!" Oh Yeah! The Pokemon declared when released . It looked at the arena and became angry . A giant hole as well as cracks all over the place . It was going to suck fixing it . Turning to its trainer it had the facial expression of 'what the h.e.l.l happen here?'

"Really powerful Trainer here . His Pokemon are not weak . Both Starmie and Cloyster lost already . " Daisy felt off-put at Wartotrle's stare . "You think they are nothing? That att.i.tude of yours is the reason we use to loose in the past!" Daisy started glowing as her aura finally broke free . She received just enough stimulation for it to work .

"To this weak thing?" Wartortle turned to look at Empress .

"Oh, dear . What a stupid Pokemon . " Gray said rubbing his temple . "Empress, I know I said take it easy but if he thinks he can taunt you like this . . " He touched the top of head and gave her a rub . " . . feel free to give him a little more pain . Just dont kill him . " Releasing a little of his aura in response he let her know it was time to fight a little more seriously . No longer a regular Gym Battle . Daisy had escalated it to the next level .

"I heard Blastoise have strong sh.e.l.ls my Gray already beat one of them . You should be nothing at all!"

"Oh, I am going to beat you weakingling . " The Wartortle moved forward .

"Begin the final round!" Violet said a little anxious .

"Warturtle use Mach Punch!" Daisy felt her blood was boiling . She had not been so excited for a battle since they were kids . She wanted to win . The crowd started cheering causing her aura to grow even stronger .

"Oh yeah!" He shot off hand glowing . Wartortle felt empowered by his trainer's power . He hadn't the foggiest idea what it was but it was very appreciated .

'Empress, wait and use Counter . ' Gray knew the attack would hit first . But that would make the Counter that more brutal since they were prepared for it . 'Catch the jaw . '

Empress nodded . Soon as Wartortle made contact she sent out a left . It didnt make a noise as it hit . To light but that didn't matter . She was able to determine its defense now .

"Whop," Wartorles Mach Punch hit her in the shoulder . She moved back a little . "Whssh," Her tail came at hisghspeeds wrapping around Wartortles head .

"Use Revenge," Gray said cooly . Empress pulled the head down with a whipping motion . Empress's hands glowed as her fist slammed into the pokemon .

"Bam!" Wartortle head rocked back . But only for a moment before it was pulled back forward . "Bam!" Another hit stronger than before landed . As the head rocked back this time, Wartortle pushed his legs off the ground to offset Empress . It did not work . Empress kept herself balance with the use of her psychic energy . She pulled Wartortle back down again . "Wham!" The next headshot drew blood . Wartortle was dazed as imaginary stars floated around its head .

"Wartortle, Use Ice Punch!" Daisy cried out . 'This Kadabra is so unusual . '

"Nice hands girly!" Wartortle grinned and sent his left hand out . It was covered in ice as it formed for a punch . Empress waited till it was close and released its tail hold . The Ice Punch missed as she slid to the side . "Why you" Wartortle cursed as he stepped forward to catch himself .

"Bam!" Empress delivered a downward across to its temple . Wartortle staggered as it took a knee . Not letting the chance go to waste, she used Tail Whip on him . "Tap, tap, tap," her tail feathered Wartortle making him subconsciously drop his guard .

"Wartortle shake away the confusion . " The Gym Leader said in angst . "Use Rain Dance!"

"Wartortle use Aqua Jet!" As soon as her Pokemon got close she changed it up . She was just using the attack for the speed . "Use, Skull Bas.h.!.+" Wartortle's head glowed as the water disappeared . The force of the attack pus.h.i.+ng everything away .

"Teleport and use Sucker Punch!" Gray yelled . 'Skull Bash would have done some serious damage to Empress . '

"Bam!" Wartortle missed and slammed into the ground . Standing up on its two stubby legs, it was not ready for the next blow . "Whack," Empress sent a fist made of pure dark energy . She caught him right in the jaw . The punch contained more power than any of her previous pulled punches . "Boom!" Her fist exploded with energy making it turn so abruptly Gray wonder if it was gonna be ok .
