"Thay was exciting." Growlithe said separating from the fusion. He felt to antsy staying synch. He also felt Gray's surface thoughts flooded his own. Peeping up looking at Gray he thought it odd. 'Why doesn't he have mental guards up against me? That cant be how his mind always is. He trains his physic power every day as long as his aura. I will have to ask Pyron and Midnight about it later.'
"Yeah, it was. Make sure you keep a good lookout." Grabbing another Pokeball he released Midnight afterward, and fused again. "PokeFusion." The first thing he notices during the swap was the eerie calm he felt fused with Midnight. With Growlithe the desire to fight made things a little to tense. Half s.h.i.+fting enough to get access to his belt he remembered to release the others. "Everybody out!" Throwing the Pokeb.a.l.l.s in the air Gray watched as everyone moved about quickly.
Pyron scanned the air. And came back down grabbing a Trapinch remain to eat on. Gale helped keep watch. Her perception abilities were definitely needed here. The only time she wasn't focused, is when a sound came close to Gray set her off.

'The area is safe for about a 1/4 a mile.' Empress shared. 'No hostile intent detected.'
'That's good. Keep up the good work.' Gray then focused on separating one of the Trapinches remains. He opened the head and found small traces of what was brain matter. Testing the strength of the jaw he couldn't break that easily. Channeling a little bit of his aura he tried again. 'How much strength would it need to break my leg. For that matter how much strength did it have?'
(Trapinch jaw strength: Jaw power 5200 newtons)
"Crrk," the jaw gave way easily. Moving his fingers down the side of the inside of the jaw, he found it weird how smooth it was. Thin veins along the roof and bast that feed to the tongue. Possible receptors or something else. He couldn't remember if the Pokemon had any poison type moves or not.
(Trainer has an inventory that connects to bag s.p.a.ce.)
For the next 15 minutes, he did a quick a.s.sessment and placed the remains in his inventory. Considering his bag disappears during fusion he was happy for it.
"So physical attacks of our current level won't work by themselves. We can do it with aura added though." Gray said at an audible level for his other Pokemon to hear. He turned to Gale, "did you see any other Pokemon around the area moving our way.?"
"No." Her voice came out a little stern. She was still getting use to talking like a human. She never talked more than need to. And if a long conversation was needed she would switch back to talk like a Pokemon. "I did however felt some flee at high speeds when I was released. They scattered to the four corners."
"Alright then." Gray looked to Pyron and saw it increases its alt.i.tude once again. 'Everything must be clear up there.' He sent a thought, letting him know they would be moving to the North. "Ok let's move out."
Gray immediately activated Agility for the boost in speed. He channeled a small amount of physic energy to help keep it going past its release time. He wanted to stack it but thought better of it. No point in wasting that much power. The physic power he found out the other day could help supplement moves for his aura. It just wasn't as effective on combat attack moves. But for buffs it worked great. When he trained with Jacob previously he abused the h.e.l.l out of it. He was moving so fast that he left the man in a confused state.
The flat mountains region did look beautiful. Besides the sand traps, he would like to come back and take pictures one day. He did find himself missing that hobby. Unlike the Earth he came from it was a little dangerous to stop and take pictures here. It would suck getting bit by an Ekans midday by some landscape.
Growlithe ran along to the side of him, keeping pace was easy for it. Gale flickered through the area. Every now and then she would break off to scout the area up ahead. Gray felt he could keep up if he pushed himself but didnt.
An hour later they finally came to a stop at a lake.
'There are a few water Pokemon inside.' Empress transmitted from within. It was the first time she spoke sense moving out. Gray felt she was searching behind them so he left it alone. 'We dont need a water Pokemon just yet. I think we need a heavy a.s.sault Pokemon.'
'Any suggestions?' Gray moved up to the lake and put his hand in the water. Both he and Midnight felt the temperature the same way. Unlike with the others, there wasn't an oddball feeling. The delay wasn't there.
'No. But I am searching.' Empress transmitted calmly. 'Hmm, who is that following us? They feel familiar.' She thought only to herself. No sense alarming Gray with the range the other happen to be at.
"Growlithe. Do you you know of an area like that?. An area that has a great a.s.sault Pokemon. Just brutal Attack power."
Growlithe didnt say anything for a bit. He walked up and dipped his head in the water. When he came back up he responded. "Yes, but it is really brutal. My defense is not high enough for it. But Midnight should be able to take the blows." His voice was a little downcast.
"Hey everyone has their role to play dont get upset. Besides, " Gray walked over and gave him a few scratches down the back of his ear. "We dealt with the Trapinches. We all have to take turns." Seeing him cheer up Gray let him know what he would be doing. "Your job will be to provide back up in case things get a little too crazy. With your high Special Attack and firepower, we should be fine."
"Right." Growlithe jumped and turned around just like an actual dog would do. "This way!"
Day turned to night without any really noticing. Stopping they sat up camp. Pyron went to do some night hunting. The rest remained in camp. When morning came Gray was picking up the tent and bedroll. Looking back he was wondering what was taking the others so long.
"Gale go and find the others for me. We are breaking daylight and Growlithe isn't paying attention to my calls." Gray said slightly worried.
With a nod, Gale left. She came back alone. A weird yellow powder on her face. She pointed behind her before collapsing.
"What happened to you? No never mind. Return, I will help you later." Gray sprinted off in that direction. Spreading his aura he found the trio. Pyron was wrapped in vines getting pulled by a Victorybell. Midnight was smas.h.i.+ng around confused. Growlithe was on his back giggling.
A Vileplume was shaking above him. A yellow powder was falling on Growlithe.
"Return!" Growlithe and Midnight were able to easily. But the Victorybell kept moving Pyron away. "Ok how about you let him go and n.o.body gets hurt." Gray said trying to get his Pokemon out of there.
Victorybell tightened its grip more and moved back a little. The Vileplum just stared at Gray. Its head c.o.c.ked to the side. Shaking its head towards him a yellow powder flew over.
Gray just threw up a Physic Wall. "That is not very nice." His voice came out jokingly. He was not amused. "This is a chance to end this peacefully. I understand you did cause you were scared. Now you should calm down before someone gets hurt."
"Getaway!" A Bellsprout said coming from the trees. "This is our fertilizer!" Six more descended after it.
"Right, that is not happening." Gray started to get a little angry. "How about you let the Pidgegotto go... and I dont burn you, your homes, and whatever gets in my way."
The Vileplume looked scared. "Give him the bird. I dont want to get burned."
"No. He is ours." A Weepinbell said as it descended.
Gray looked at Pyron and wondered why it didnt burn himself free. A bubble appeared informing him what was off.
(Pyron: Condition Poison/Paralyzed/Suffocating)
'Suffocating' Looking closer Gray realized the vines were constricting slowly. "Screw this! Vileplume get out the way or get burned. Spinning quickly he fired off a move. "Fire Spin!" It was weak but needed to be done.
The flames came as Gray swiped his arms in a spinning motion. As the dark fire came out creating a little tornado the Pokemon got scared and tried to scatter.
"PokeSoul!" Gray changed into his Yvetal form racing towards the Victreebel. Extending his claws it caught against the vines. His Scratch was only strong enough to cut the thinner vines. Reeling back he came down with his other clawed hand to try to loosen the bigger vine.
"Whack!" A vine from the ground smacked against his back. with his attention pulled the Victreebel went back into the trees with Pyron.
"Have to learn more fire moves. But I do have flying." When the next set of Vine Whip came, Gray put a small physic barrier to block them. "Gotcha!" Keeping them held in place he pulled his wings in. Then he pushed them back out with extreme force "Razor Wind!"
The aura generated intense winds that visibly cut the area apart. The vines were shredded. Some of the wind pressure made it toward the Bellsprout. The cuts travelled upward and split there domes.
"You killed my friends!" VictoryBell yelled. It then threw Pyron to the ground. It started to gather sunlight into itself.
Gray took the chance to return Pyron. He looked around for the WeepinBell. It was attacking the Vileplume. Its vines constricted tightly around the Pokemon as it didnt resist in any way. It just cried.
"Fight back you idiot!" Gray yelled. The Pokemon just looked on in fear. "Dang it!" Gray disappeared into a blur as he uses Teleport. He arrived right behind the WeepinBell and bringing both claws down, he scratched its back open. Traces of the yellow powder fell on him. It slowed his arms down.
"Grraa!" Its voice gurgled out. Turning it jumped onto Gray entrapping him in its dome. It started secreting a substance. It was the move Toxic. As it did that it started suckling on Gray. Draining away at his Health with Leech Life.
"Stupid Plant!" Gray release a little aura. "Fire Spin!" As the flames came out burning the Weepinbell, Gray teleported them both into the air. Flipping the Pokemon over he watches as it went to the ground in a plummet of black flames. "Roost!" As the energy restore his Health he watched as a beam of light left from the tree and headed his way.
"You will be fertilizer!" Yelled the Victreebel. As the Solar Beam made it to Gray he just looked at it hand stretched.
"Show me what you got!" Gray said taking the blow. As the beam made contact he tried to dismantle it with his own aura. "Grrr, d.a.m.n not working!"
His understanding of the move was not strong enough to dismantle it. Riding the attack as it pushed him further away he finally just bashed against it. "Bam!" With a solid punch, it dispersed.
Swoosh," he teleported back and saw the Victreebel beating on the Vileplum. Landing behind it Gray hovered then with a flap of a wing and right arm a devasting slash came out. "Air Slas.h.!.+"
"What?" The Victrebel managed to say. It turned to see a crescent wave tear it in half. "Vict..tre..bel."
"Well, so they are a little stronger this way. That is good to know." Gray said. He released the transformation. "Before I forget." Gray tried to reign the aura that dispersed back in. The result was minimal. "Nope, another thing to work on."
"Oww..." The Vileplume said getting up. She looked at Gray terrified as she started to shake. "Dont hurt me!"
"Eh, you are fine. Dont sweat it. But what to do with you? Oh, wait I have a friend that was looking for a gra.s.s type Pokemon. Guess you will have to do." Gray reached for a Pokeball but stopped. "But if I catch you did give you to her you might not listen. That would be stupid. Or does that not apply. When a bubble appeared he smiled.
(PokeBall converted to a.s.sist Ball.)
(a.s.sist Ball: Trainer can catch a Pokemon and there placed in suspended animation till they are released. Warning only viable for Elite Trainer's.)
Gray explained to the Vileplum what would happen to it. It agreed happily when it realized it would be leaving this place for good. Gathering the remains with the Vileplumes help he was able to find a few plants as well that were good for medicine. When finished Gray teleported back to the cave and released his Pokemon for treatment.
