Chapter 1597 It's Close

The group let the man leave, Grey was certain he didn't hear their conversations, so there was no point in killing him, and putting him under his control will only put him under more pressure, he didn't want that at the moment as there were still important people he needed to put under his control. At the moment, the person he needed the most under his control was the Third Prince, however, this has become difficult since the Second Prince has tasked him with the death of the Third Prince.

Not killing the Third Prince will make the Prince slightly cautious of him. However, that was his best bet if he wanted to put the Second Prince under his control. Without the Second Prince, it was practically impossible for him to get to the First Prince. Yes, he has placed the First Prince's trusted Necromancer under his control, but that was only half of the plan. The Second Prince is needed to complete it.

He wanted to kill all Princes that were competing for the throne with the exception of the Seventh Prince. The Seventh Prince has been under his control from the start, and it would be easier if he used him.

Luckily, his father was able to draw away the Emperor and the other top powerhouses of the Gnome world. Of course, a lot of human powerhouses will die because of this, but it was a sacrifice Grey's father was willing to pay, even though it was against the knowledge of those who might get killed.

Lucas didn't think too much about how they would react, he knew that as long as Grey's plan comes to pass, they wouldn't need to worry about the Gnomes for hundreds of years, well, as long as Grey was alive to keep the Seventh Prince who would be the Emperor then in his control.

Grey looked at the Seventh Prince and shook his head.

"We should kill off the Fourth Prince first, we'll get to his kingdom soon enough." He said to Klaus and the others.

They nodded. For some reason, the Princes preferred staying in their respective kingdoms, rather than staying in their castle. The Kings were under their command, so they didn't feel as burdened as they were while under the Emperor's castle.

"The castle is to my taste, when will I have it, bud?" Klaus suddenly spoke up.

"Huh?" Reynolds and Alice looked at Klaus and Grey weirdly.

"While waiting for you guys to break through, I promised him I'll uproot the Emperor's castle and give it to him." Grey explained the meaning of Klaus' words to him.

"Why are you bringing it up now?" He couldn't help but ask Klaus.

"Well, I feel like you're starting to forget, so I felt it was only right that I reminded you. We have very limited time here, and I do not want to leave without my castle." Klaus said seriously.

"You really are crazy." Grey laughed as they continued forward.

.

Two days went by in a flash and they arrived at the Fourth Prince's kingdom.

"I want to have a brawl with them. Assassination is no fun." Klaus looked at the walls with interest.

"There's only one way to do this, we have to trigger him." Grey said, but then he looked at himself and his friends, they disguised themselves, but if the Fourth Prince was truly the one that saw them that time, he is bound to recognize Grey at the very least.

"I'll send a puppet to rile him up and they will come out. I heard he's in the Sovereign Plane now." Grey said.

"You have a puppet?"

The group looked at him oddly.

"Don't stare that way, why is the Prince here?" Grey shrugged and the Prince brought out a puppet that was in the First stage of the Sovereign Plane.

It was a puppet Grey took from one of the Necromancers, so he handed it to the Seventh Prince.

The Seventh Prince sent the puppet out. It was forbidden for anyone to fly above the Palace of any of these Princes, unless it was the Emperor and his entourage. Sending a puppet over was even more insulting and these Princes will not take it lying.

It was just as Grey expected, they followed the puppet outside, charging at it from the sky. All it took was a minute and the Fourth Prince, as well as three people in the First stage of the Sovereign Plane were present there.

The puppet went to the woods and stopped there.

"You must be foolish to come here and challenge me." The Fourth Prince said coldly, he knew the meaning of this, but he wasn't afraid. He was close to the kingdom, and he also had a secret weapon no one knew about.

"Is this how you welcome me, brother?" The Seventh Prince strolled out from behind one of the trees.

Klaus came out as well and looked at the Prince, he could tell it was the person he was hoping for.

"Just three, I thought there would be more." Reynolds placed his palm on his cheek as he spoke from a tree branch behind the Seventh Prince.

"What's the meaning of this?" The eyes of the Fourth Prince turned cold as he snorted in annoyance.

He didn't think his younger brother would be the one to disturb his peace. Looking at Klaus and Reynolds, he could sense a great threat from them, so he didn't try to attack anyone.

"I thought it's been a while since I saw my dear elder brother, so I came to see you. Is it wrong for a younger brother to want to visit his elder brother?" The Seventh Prince asked, but a smirk was on his face, it was evident that he was playing with the Fourth Prince.

"I don't have time for games, if you have anything to say, say it now or get lost from my sight." The Fourth Prince yelled.

"Haha, this will be fun. Will you be able to deal with them alone, or do you need help?" Reynolds asked curiously.

Klaus walked forward, standing in front of the Seventh Prince while stretching his arms and neck, "This shouldn't be a problem. I really did expect more of them."

Klaus sighed before adding with a shake of his head, "Such a shame."

The Fourth Prince looked at Klaus and Reynolds coldly, and then his gaze went to the two beside him. These were the only people in the Sovereign Plane in his kingdom, there was no one else. If they weren't enough for a single Necromancer, then he was a failure.

"Kill him, and make it snappy." The Fourth Prince said to one of the men.

The Gnome was already starting to have gray hair, his face already had signs of wrinkles, it was evident that he was old. But he recently just broke through to the Sovereign Plane with the help of the Fourth Prince, and he also had a puppet stronger than he is.

"Bring out your puppet, I wouldn't want to bully an old defenseless man." Klaus snickered.

The Gnome didn't reply to Klaus' taunts, he brought out his puppet, and expected Klaus to do the same.

Klaus, noticing his gaze burst out laughing, looking at the man like he was a clown, "Haha! What? You think I'll bring out my puppet for a flimsy old man like yourself? What's the point?"

He licked his lips and said, "That will be no fun."

Reynolds shook his head from the branch when he saw Klaus' actions, it was clear that Klaus had missed fighting and taunting people a lot and was starting to lose his sanity.

The Gnome didn't speak, his puppet was in the Second stage of the Sovereign Plane, and without hesitation, he attacked.

Klaus closed the gap between them and tried to grab a hold of the Gnome. The Gnome's puppet appeared between them and opened its mouth to release a gust of wind that almost sent Klaus flying, luckily, he used his ice ability to freeze his legs to the ground, ensuring that he didn't embarrass himself.

'Damn it! I was almost blown away.' He felt embarrassed by his negligence, but he didn't stop his actions, his outstretched hands still advanced and grabbed onto the puppet.

The puppet was frozen solid on the spot, without being able to retaliate. But it was only for a few seconds as the ice melted away. It also had the fire element.

A Dual Elementalist was killed by the Gnomes and turned into a puppet. Klaus didn't know if he should feel sorry for him or not. He decided to avenge the puppet which was a middle-aged man.

Klaus and the puppet exchanged blows, but from a glance, everyone knew who had the better hand. Klaus had the puppet and the Gnome fully suppressed, they could barely make any moves against him and focused only on defending.
