Grey and his group left the Palace, along with the Seventh Prince, heading towards one of the Kingdoms under the rulership of the Second Prince. They wanted to start their plotting from there, and with the help of Nigel, Grey was able to cajole the Second Prince into actually inviting them over there.
The group moved out in a carriage, hiding themselves. The First Prince was still investigating the identity of Grey and his friends, and wanted to make sure he got to know about everything they were up to. Grey didn't want the others to know what they were up to, so when leaving, he had Void and the bunny leader hide Klaus and the others in his storage ring.
The bunny leader has long since sent out multiple little bunnies across the entire Palace, so they were informed about almost everything happening there. Even the talks of the servants in the Palace were relayed back to the bunny leader since they wouldn't know where any valuable information might come from.
..
Silinks Kingdom.
This was the largest kingdom under the Second Prince. Each contesting Prince has at least two Kingdoms under their wings. In the case of the normal Princes, they get to have just one good kingdom they can rule or assign to a trusted individual.
The Seventh Prince led the group into the castle, and the Second Prince was there, awaiting the arrival of the group.
When he saw his younger brother, he nodded to him, but his eyes laid on Grey and his friends, they were the real reason he came to this place and was willing to meet up with the Seventh Prince. This was the first time the Seventh Prince was reaching out to him, and he knew it had something to do with Grey and his friends. From what he heard from Nigel, he knew Grey was a very smart individual.
"Little brother, I never thought you would want to work with me." The Second Prince said calmly as he returned his gaze back to his brother while taking a seat in the garden area he was waiting for them.
Nigel was standing behind him, ready to attack at a moment's notice.
The Seventh Prince sat down, and Grey and his friends stood behind him. Grey didn't want those in that Palace to know they were leaving together, but he had no need hiding them when they were close to the Silinks Kingdom. It is a taboo for a Necromancer to sit beside any of the Princes.
"I didn't have any need to in the past, but with Father gone and most of the top experts absent, you and I know Chamenth will try to seize control of the empire." The Seventh Prince spoke up. The person referred to as Chamenth is none other than the First Prince who called for the meeting some time ago.
Grey has learned about them and knows he needs to study them properly if he wants to ensure there are no loopholes in his plans. He was taking control of the Seventh Prince, which means he was basically the one speaking through the Seventh Prince. Most of the time he spent in the library, he was not only reading about the history of the Gnome world, but he was also gathering information concerning the relationship of all Princes.
The Second Prince and Seventh Prince were particularly close when the Seventh Prince was younger, and only started to drift apart when the Seventh Prince declared his desire to fight for the throne.
"Why should I believe you won't betray me if we take him out?" The Second Prince was calm as he asked.
"I'm not as strong as you are, so betraying you is more like a death wish. I'm not even a Sovereign yet, so you have nothing to worry about." The Seventh Prince explained, he has gotten to the Peak of the Venerable Plane, breaking the record for youngest person to get to this level in the history of the Gnome world.
The Seventh Prince has superior talent when it comes to cultivation compared to anyone else in the entire Gnome world, hence the reason even though among them he was the youngest, he was still lauded as a favorite. In fact, the top three favorites were the First, Second and Seventh Prince.
They've managed to gather a large number of support from some of the Elders in the Family. The others were there, but they weren't that high in the pecking order. Even with Grey's name being a blemish to the Seventh Prince, it still didn't hide the fact that he was a breathtaking genius.
Even Grey was taken aback when he noticed how quickly the Seventh Prince was advancing after their last encounter.
The Second Prince knew the Seventh Prince was right, even though he recently recruited Grey and his friends, they still didn't have the ability to take him down. In truth, the only person he was wary of is the First Prince, and he wouldn't mind dealing with him. If things go south, he already has a plan to shift the blame to the Seventh Prince, making him suffer the wrath of the First Prince.
"Since that's the case, I'll trust you one last time, little brother." The Second Prince didn't see any reason to reject this collaboration, it was a win-win situation for him no matter how he sees it.
"Thank you." The Seventh Prince said and went on to explain his plan.
His plan was simple: start a war with the First Prince's Kingdom.
The Second Prince was skeptical about it when he heard this. How was starting a war with the First Prince going to do anything to him?
"Only in chaos will our opportunity come."
This was the reason behind the Seventh Prince's words. The Second Prince knew this was true, but that would cause meaningless deaths.
Grey didn't care if it would cause meaningless deaths, as long as the Gnome world falls into turmoil, his group will be able to do whatever they wanted to, which was his goal from the start.
