Her lips curved upwards into a smile. "I will."
Jiang Mingyue knew that his job would make it harder for her to see him as frequently as she wanted to even after their marriage.
This arrangement sounded perfect. Even though the two of them will be busy with their duty, at least they will see each other every day. This arrangement may last for only a short period, but she will take what she can get.
Mingyue looked up at the princess again. "You said that the invitation had been sent out," she said. She watched the princess nodded and continued, "Do you know anything about the invited princes? Any of them that caught your interest?"
Princess Lingchen waved her hands dismissively. "I don't. My mother sent a file of the candidates' profile. But I haven't look at them. According to my maidservant, seven invitations have been sent out."
"Seven. That's great. Seven is a lucky number."
The Princess chuckled inwardly. "Seven was never my lucky number." Her voice was a whisper.
She dreaded the upcoming banquet with the unknown princes. She knew that when the princes decided to accept the invitation, every one of them will come with a motive. Each and everyone is seeking for something to gain from this marriage while she aims to stabilize her position as the next heir to the throne.
"Let me look at the candidate list."
The Princess frowned at her request.
But soon, she raised a hand and soon, her maidservant, Ah Zhen approached her. She whispered something to the Ah Zhen before the maidservant left the room.
A minute later, Ah Zhen with a stack of paper in her hand. She handed the profiles to Mingyue and retreated from the room.
Mingyue browsed through the papers. There was a drawing of the prince, their biodata and achievement. She looked at each portray and read the information on the princes with concentration.
Once she was done looking through all the candidates, Mingyue glanced at the princess. She appeared calm as she took a sip from her tea, but Mingyue knew that the princess was anxious to know what was her opinion on the princes.
"What is it?" Princess Lingchen watched her with worry.
"The princes," she gave her a teasing smile. "They're exceptional."
Princess Lingchen rolled her eyes. "Of course. They are the candidates of my future husband. Naturally, His Majesty would choose the best for me. Tell me. What do you think about them?"
