"Sorry," I slur slumping against him
"I'm busy. Go away. I have no time for your fake s.h.i.+t." His tone was clipped, with a distinct southern accent.
Taken back, I blinked stupidly for a moment before I played my part and stumbled backward cras.h.i.+ng into someone wearing something white before I held onto some railing. Peaking from the corner of my eyes I could see the corners of his lips curl up in amus.e.m.e.nt. The scent of wolfsbane touches my nose as I held on the wall and watch the action.
"Hey, beautiful." Some drunken troll staggered up and flicked his fingers around at a skimpy dress Fae. "Wanna take me flying?"
She slaps him.
Good for her but I don't think it's wise to harm a troll.
There are trolls that blend in with the humans or normals as some call it. The man had at least a bit of troll in him, their worst characteristic is that they hold grudges. It was entertaining until another couple hook up just in front of me.
"Pardon me, are you in heat?" another drunken body b.u.mped into a werewolf.
Mother of Cheesy pickup lines, it was starting to get annoying. I know they liked to hook up but the rate it was happening around me was ridiculous.
Had to stay long enough to secure my mark, I made my way to the bar. This was turning into a long night. I signal the bartender. He was more than happy to see me again. I did give him a nice tip when I left thinking I was going straight home.
"G.o.dfather?"
"Sure,"
"It didn't work out, huh?" the bartender said, "Alone on a Friday night, this is ridiculous. I feel you girl. Let me introduce you to someone."
"Has anyone told you that you talk too much?" I asked, "It's rather annoying. Really, I just need to lay low here for an hour to and creep back home. Earlier than that and my aunts will have my head and probably send Phi to babysit me. They really want me to mingle."
