152 Sands Of Time

Lin was stupid. The deck of faith may be stacked against her but she knew I wanted her circuit. I mentioned it and made a move so even a five-year-old could tell what I wanted from her.

I walk over and lean over her and pull out a sand clock and placing it next to her. The sand was blinking away.

"Lin. Your boy may not have much time," I told her,

I knew she'd take the deal as in her last life she sold her soul and her son's for ten years worth of time. Stupid. It wasn't enough.

But then again she waited so long that she ended without options when she went to the lady.

Just her name sent chills down my spine. The woman was cynical and cunning. Honestly, between dealing with her and the devil, the devil was a better option.

"You'll have to act fast," I said with a wink, "he doesn't have that much life in him. I rather not make it harder than if has to be."

"No,"

"I didn't hear that." I said just being nice and kind,

It wasn't a trick. Her son was dying fast. I could see he life leaving him as his aura pales.

Dealers powerful or not had to have three abilities. One, an appraisal method to know the value of each trade. Second, was a method to ensure a smooth transaction. Last and most important, a way to prevent others from robbing oneself.

I knew that I just started to put the parts together in this life. I really wish I was smarter in my past but we all learn from that mistake. This time I took precautions like the boss's account books and with a few good deals, I should be alright. The Yoit blood was active so I could use real violence now without having to rely completely on artifacts. It felt a lot better. To be able to protect myself.

This was still ages away from the top but it wasn't the bottom. I look around and saw a person I didn't expect to see again.

Major C was one of the most famous dealers that deal with humans. Unlike the boss who specialized in making profit from blood. Major C was at the bottom dealer. It didn't help that he was a made 5gen vampire. The lowest grade possible for vampire, other than a little extra strength they were basically human.

The man had earned enough magic to be an independent vampire. So he was smart and cunning to have made something for himself.

I just could believe that him appearing here could not be by happenstance. My grandmother had been involved with vampires and blood magic. I look at him suspiciously.
