Chapter 697: Brother Li, their mother is going to give birth soon!

“There’s no need to.”

Ye Tianxin waved her hand.

“I can’t delay and interfere with Brother Li’s work. What is Brother Li’s original job position?”

Li Qingcang turned around and fixed his eyes on her. “Tianxin, no matter what position I’m in, you have to stay in the camp and not go anywhere.”

Yan Ge shrugged and said, “Tianxin! Look at this guy next to you. He’s been traumatized by a cannonball!”

The cannonball attack that day really did terrify both Li Qingcang and Yan Ge.

Li Qingcang didn’t expect the bomb to explode at such a close distance to the camp.

“Shut up!”

Li Qingcang tossed a fish ball into Yan Ge’s mouth.

Yan Ge grinned and continued to munch on the fish balls.

Li Qingcang caressed Ye Tianxin’s hair and whispered, “Tianxin, I’ll be going somewhere that’s very dangerous.”

“Brother Li, just let me go with you, okay?”

Yan Ge nodded, “Just let her go. There won’t likely be any more explosions. This should be the safest time for her to go.”

Li Qingcang and Ye Tianxin got in the vehicle after the meal. In such a dangerous place, it was best to look androgynous.

For the sake of her safety, Ye Tianxin decided to cover her face in some dust.

“Brother Li, what shall we do later?”

“We’re having a meeting.”

After they reached their destination, Li Qingcang entered the conference room for the meeting while Ye Tianxin stayed outside the camp.

At their destination, there was a faint smell of gunpowder in the air amidst the blue sky.

Only a few trees were growing here, which offered a long-stretched view.

Since Li Qingcang was having a meeting in the room, Ye Tianxin couldn’t go inside and listen. She just sat on the bench and enjoyed the gentle breeze.

“Help!”

“Please help my mother!”

Two children rushed into the gate of the yard, with the guard at the gate pointing an AK47 at them.

Ye Tianxin couldn’t understand what the children and the guard were saying since they spoke in their native language.

She watched them from a distance and saw the two children talking to each other before they knelt in front of the guard.

The guard held the gun tightly in his hands with a hesitant look.

Ye Tianxin stood up and walked up cautiously between the two children and the guard. She asked, “What happened?”

The guard didn’t understand Ye Tianxin’s English very well. He gestured and replied in very broken English, “Their mother…has a big belly…might be giving birth…”

Pregnant woman? Kids?

Ye Tianxin felt an instinctive urge to help this mother.

“Let me see her.”

Just as Ye Tianxin was about to leave with the children, Li Qingcang rushed up to stop Ye Tianxin.

“Tianxin, didn’t I tell you not to wander around?”

“Brother Li, their mother is about to give birth!”

Li Qingcang’s stared at the poor children and let out a sigh. “Tianxin, I know you have a kind heart, but their mother is going to give birth and you won’t be able to deliver the baby on your own. Let’s go, we’ll send them to the international medical camp.”

“Alright.”

Ye Tianxin and Li Qingcang followed the two children and helped the pregnant woman onto the off-road vehicle.

The pregnant woman was holding her belly with a painful expression.

As Li Qing Cang drove at a fast speed, the pregnant woman was sobbing inside the car.
