Chapter 14 Part2

When Pei Cheng An's car drove into a quiet alley and stopped in front of a quaint martial arts studio that was so out of proportion to the surrounding modern architecture, Xia Zhen's mind was in a mess.

 "Did I cross over?"

Pei Cheng An smiled and said, "It's just decorated like this."

Well, there's a copy of the White House. It's not surprising how quaint the martial arts studio is. Xia Zhen had lived in this city for many years but had never heard of this place, so she was surprised.

"Do you know this place so well?" Xia Zhen asked curiously.

Pie Cheng An said lightly: "This is my uncle's."

It turns out that his skills are also learned from here. "Hold on ... then isn't this meeting with relatives?"  Why is she suddenly a little nervous?

"Let's go in."

Xia Zhen took a deep breath, then walked in with him. Upon entry, she saw the pattern inside was simple, with a few tables and chairs for rest and a s.p.a.cious exercise room in between. At this moment, there were seven or eight children in their mid-teens practicing, and they looked a little excited to see Pei Cheng An and Xia Zhen.

A little boy shouted to the inside room, "Grandpa, Uncle Pei is here!" Then they gathered around Pei Cheng An and talked to him.

"Who is this older sister?"The little boy looked at Xia Zhen and asked.

The elder sister called Xia Zhen's heart was full of emotions, but before she could speak, another little girl grabbed Pei Cheng An's sleeve with an aggrieved face and said, "Uncle, she's not your girlfriend, right?"

Xia Zhen: "..."

When facing the children, Pei Cheng An was more gentle. He rubbed the little girl's hair and said, "She is my girlfriend."

"Uncle, didn't I tell you I'll be your bride when I grow up?" The little girl was on the verge of crying, and Xia Zhen's mood was extremely complicated, and what's with the experience of having a little girl as a love rival?

Pei Cheng An didn't know whether to laugh or cry, says with difficulty: "I'll be old when you grow up."

"I won't dislike you for being old!" The little girl still refused to accept it.

The little boy took the little girl's arm and said in an old-fas.h.i.+oned manner: "Xinxin, I'll be as good as Uncle Pei when I grow up, and you'll be my bride."

"Really?" The little girl asked.

The little boy nodded firmly: "Really, if you don't believe it, you just wait and see."

Xinxin lowered her head, her mouth twitched slightly, and she looked very tangled.  Pei Cheng A,n reluctantly said to her: "Xiao Qi will be better than his uncle in the future."

"But he doesn't have an uncle who is handsome."

Xia Zhen: "..." She feels that her worldview has been refreshed.

However, Xiao Qi was not convinced. "I am also handsome. Many people say that I am a handsome boy."

Xinxin immediately refuted: "You are so fat, you are not handsome!"

Xia Zhen: Little sister, it is wrong to discriminate against fat people.

Faced with the truth, Xiao Qi couldn't fight back. His fat white face was red.

Seeing that the atmosphere became tense, Xia Zhen felt it necessary to say something. She knelt down, looked at the child, and smiled with kindness. She pulls two children and says: "Xinxin, let me tell you, when you grow up and reach the age of being able to marry, your uncle Pei will already be a 40-50-year-old man. His hair may turn white, his face will grow many wrinkles, several of his teeth may fall off, he may not be handsome. Although Xiao Qi is a little fat now, as long as he exercises well, he will be a tall and handsome man in the future."

After listening to Xia Zhen, the children raised their heads to see Pei Cheng An's face, as if to see a few lines of wrinkles.
