She held back at s.h.i.+ Guang’s hand. “I honestly want to help you. If you don’t wish to get close to them, how about we change another location?”

s.h.i.+ Guang did not reply as w.a.n.g Caichun then took a couple of steps forth silently before pulling her away.

“I merely don’t wish to… b.u.mp into him in a chance encounter…” s.h.i.+ Guang muttered moodily.

If he missed her, he could have very well gone to look for her. Why must it be a chance encounter?

He did not care about her in the slightest bit. For the past half a month, he hadn’t even made a call, much less visit her. She was almost convinced right now that the argument the other day was an excuse for him to break up with her.

Perhaps… he was tired of her?

Looking at how terrible s.h.i.+ Guang’s face was turning into, w.a.n.g Caichun commented apologetically, “Sorry, I shouldn’t have acted so presumptuously. Don’t get angry, alright?”

“I’m not angry, neither am I blaming you,” s.h.i.+ Guang laughed out bitterly, “I know that you meant well and I’m truly grateful. However, the issues between him and me are more than just mere misunderstandings. There are things that can’t be made clear.”

The issue between them was that because she had saved him, it brought harm to her entire family. No matter how much she did not want to blame him, her heart would always feel somewhat uncomfortable.

I know that you’re good at making desserts!” w.a.n.g Caichun smiled out and hugged s.h.i.+ Guang’s arm enthusiastically. “You can make some DIY desserts in the teahouse of this golf club! Didn’t you say that you wanted to treat me to a homemade meal previously? Let’s sc.r.a.p the meal! How about making a bowl of dessert for me? It’s so cold out in the winter now that I’m a little lazy to play golf as well. I’d rather sit in the teahouse and drink a bowl of warm dessert!”

Golf was not the only thing this club offered—there was a hotel, a clubhouse, a racing track, and other forms of entertainment.

As both of them entered the teahouse, they b.u.mped into some of w.a.n.g Caichun’s friends. Thus, everyone sat down together. While w.a.n.g Caichun chatted with them merrily, s.h.i.+ Guang was preparing a pot of warm dessert using the slow cooker at a little open kitchen at the side.

It was really simple cooking dessert soups. All one had to do was wash the ingredients and put them inside the cooker while waiting to season it after they were done cooking.

As s.h.i.+ Guang sat there with w.a.n.g Caichun and her friends, chatting and eating the dessert, they caught sight of three people walking over with bright smiles.

All three of them were wearing athletic wear along with baseball hats, looking sunny and cheery.
