Chapter 210 - Irresistible

She completely forgot to inform Lu Chen that she hadn't told her friends about her marriage yet, except for Kei, at least.

Lu Chen stepped forward and stood beside Xiu Mei and smoothly chatted with her friends.

"Hi, it's nice meeting you all again." Lu Chen said as he shook hands with Xiu Mei's friends. He remembered meeting and being introduced to them at the party when she picked up Xiu Mei before.

Xiu Mei wasn't sure how to react seeing that 'knowing' smile on her friends' faces as they casually returned the greeting to her husband.

In the end, Lia and the others didn't dare to interrogate Mr. Lu despite the comfortable feeling they received from him. After all, they were just mere acquaintances and he wasn't just 'someone' they could easily pull for questions for gossip or tease.

After reaching their goal of meeting the mysterious Mr.Lu for the second time, they happily sent her away while throwing a teasing smile at Xiu Mei.

Xiu Mei discreetly glared at them but they continued ignoring her sharp gaze and continued throwing teasing looks. She only stopped paying attention to them when she entered the car. She saw Lu Chen nod his head to her friends before he walked over to the driver's side and entered before driving off. He just turned into a corner after driving for a few minutes when Lu Chen pulled over the car so suddenly.

She looked at her side to ask him why he was suddenly stopping when a shadow suddenly loomed over her face.

And before Xiu Mei could even react to what was happening, she was already caught by Lu Chen into a kiss. His hand was already clutching her waist, and he was almost hovering over her figure, pressing her onto the window as he deepened the kiss.

He didn't hesitate to slip inside her mouth and plunder. His kiss was almost similar to his previous kisses before—aggressive, desperate as if he wanted to swallow her whole being.

Xiu Mei felt powerless under her husband's actions but she didn't dislike it. She slowly got into the kiss as she wrapped her hands around his neck.

She felt breathless under his continuous onslaught of kisses. Lu Chen has no signs of stopping his actions at all, so she could only lightly push his chest to send her message over. Lu Chen didn't stop immediately but his movements visibly lightened, his aggressive kiss turned light and gentle.

After a minute, he finally let go of her lips. Their foreheads touched, as they listened to each other's panting with their faces in close proximity, their warm breaths being felt by each other.

Lu Chen has already stopped kissing her, but his gaze at her almost felt like he was nowhere near stopping from cornering and showering her with his kisses.

He didn't hide his emotions and revealed his desire to his wife. He gazed at her like a predator, waiting to jump on his prey and devour her whole. His hands never strayed from her waist, holding her in place. After catching his breath, he lowered his head once more so Xiu Mei shut her eyes in reflex awaiting her fate of being eaten again.

But contrary to her expectations, Lu Chen didn't jump on her again. This time, he only pressed his lips on hers and bit her lower lip tightly before pulling away. She opened her eyes with a surprised expression as she looked at him.

His expression completely changed. He was now smiling at her while looking at her with an affectionate gaze and his hand slowly caressed her cheeks.

"It's strange." He muttered under his breath. With their closeness, she was able to hear his words so she furrowed her brows and mouthed her question.

'What is?'

Lu Chen chuckled as his hand stopped on her chin and his thumb running over her lips. This action of his almost made Xiu Mei's body tremble as she felt her breath hitch while feeling a weird sensation on her stomach.

"You're already tempting enough everyday but tonight, you looked especially… irresistible. So I couldn't stop myself from taking a bite." He said while chuckling without removing his thumb from her lips.

Xiu Mei blinked as his words slowly sunk in her mind.

Irresistible?

Her mind flew back to her activities today.

Ah…. maybe it's because of all the spa and ma.s.sage they did today?

She hadn't gone for a while so her skin would have looked more glowing and supple than before after all those skin treatments and relaxing regimen they've gone through.

Xiu Mei's mind was still flying when Lu Chen pressed a final kiss on her lips again before completely pulling away from her. This time, he returned to his seat and patted his creased clothest before he continued driving.

Xiu Mei returned to her senses when she felt him brush his lips against hers for the nth time before the warm breath disappeared completely. She watched Lu Chen act naturally as if he didn't do something shameless seconds ago as he continued driving.

Lu Qiang was already sleeping by the time they got home. It was already quite late when she finished with her friends so it's quite understandable.

Xiu Mei held her stomach and stared at the kitchen.

She wondered whether there's still some leftovers in the kitchen. Since they got too absorbed with their relaxation treatments, they completely forgot about dinner. And now, as soon as she got home, she felt her stomach slightly ache almost screaming to her that she needs to eat food soon.

"Didn't you have dinner there?" Lu Chen who noticed her movements finally asked. His brows furrowing in concern as he thought that his wife skipped her meal.

Xiu Mei nodded hesitantly as she started walking over to the kitchen.

But before she could reach the refrigerator, her wrist was caught and was pulled by Lu Chen forcibly making her seat on the chair.

"I'll do it." He said before he turned towards the kitchen. Xiu Mei blinked at a loss before a smile appeared on her face.

From her seat, she watched Lu Chen's figure getting busy in the kitchen. With her face resting on her hands, she watched him in amus.e.m.e.nt as she saw him crack the eggs messily with some of the sh.e.l.ls getting mixed in the eggs, and when he tried to hide the fact that he almost got scalded from the oil when he poured the egg onto the pan, and when he clumsily tried to fold the egg over the rice as he tried to make it in an oval shape similar to the Omurice image he was looking at.

She silently giggled by herself as she watched her clumsy husband working in the kitchen, trying his best to cook dinner for her. She thought it was funny, at the same time, she felt warm at his sincerity and efforts.

After spending almost half an hour cooking Omurice in the kitchen, he immediately served his masterpiece to his hungry wife.

"For my beloved wife." He said as he placed the plate in front of her. Xiu Mei lowered her head and saw the ketchup drawn in a heart shape on top of the egg.

Hmm… not bad.

She raised her head to meet Lu Chen's gaze and smiled at him before she picked up her spoon and started digging in her food. Without hesitation, she ate a spoonful of the rice and egg.

CRUNCH!

….well. That was...to be expected. She clearly saw he continued mixing the egg in the bowl without taking out the fallen eggsh.e.l.ls at all.

He probably missed it? Or forgot to take it out?

And it's not like she didn't know better ah. She could clearly remember the number of eggsh.e.l.ls she ate before when he also cooked breakfast for her when they were still not married.
