As the Doctor counted from 10 backwards to 1, Tania woke up from her trance like state.

"What happened?" She asked.

"Nothing," the Doctor replied.

"Tania would you care for a gla.s.s of water?"

Before Tania could say yes, he had already called his a.s.sistant on the intercom asking him to send three gla.s.ses of water.

The a.s.sistant brought the water and as soon as he left, Tania started asking questions.

"What happened?"

"Did you find out what is going on?"

"Actually, a lot," the Doctor spoke with a thoughtful expression on his face and carried on saying, "I recorded your replies to the questions I asked you."

"Do you not remember anything?"

"No, was it important?"

"I think you need to listen," saying this the Doctor pressed the play b.u.t.ton.

Tania heard all that she had said while she was under hypnosis. She heard about her uncle coming to pester his sister while she was still in her mother's womb. The fact that he had upset her and she had recognized the voice and the tone of that voice had been imprinted on her memory.

She also heard how she had jumped back into the previous life, where she had indicated that she was studying in a medical college. This uncle was there too, and he was not a good person. She felt goose b.u.mps coming all over her as she heard her response to the questions posed by the doctor about her immediate past life.

Now do you remember anything. Yes, the eyes scare me Those eyes are scary. The eyes of my Uncle seem so familiar.

"I think that is enough for the present, said the Doctor and turning to Tania's grandfather he said, "Sir, I would like you to bring your granddaughter day after tomorrow."

"Of Course, Doctor. We will be here at the same time, day after tomorrow."

Tania and her grandfather bid the doctor a good day and left his office. They got into the car, reversed and headed back home.

Now the question on both their mind was, what was to be said to the rest of the family especially Tania's Nani ji and her rouge son?

Tania had an idea. "We will inform them that you wanted to purchase some help books on the Russian language."

"To make our story authentic, we will stop by a bookstore on the way and buy a few help books."

Soon they spied a small book store. Tania stopped the car and ran to the store and bought three help books, a book for learners, a book to carry out a conversation and an English to Russian language dictionary.

"I have bought these books, but in today's age everything can be accessed on the mobile," Tania told her Dada ji.

"Yes, I know that. But your Dada ji is an old person and prefers to read from a book rather than squint at the mobile to read the tiny font."

"Hahaha," Tania found that squinting at the mobile phone quite hilarious. She could picturize him squinting at him mobile.

"You can always enlarge the font," said Tania who was having a good laugh and could not stop laughing.

"When we reach home, I will help you adjust the font on your phone so that you don't have to squint or wink at all."

They reached home within an hour. It was 6 pm. and others had had their tea. Dadi ji welcomed them and offered them tea. She was dying to know what happened.

Dada ji gestured her to wait for some time.

Where is Nani ji and my Mamu ji?" she asked.

They had their tea with Indian sweets and are now in the library"

Did they inquire where we had gone?

Yes, they did. I told them that you had gone to the university for some work and your Dada ji had accompanied you."

"OK, we will stick to that story. I will say that I waited in the Canteen drinking two cups of tea while you went to get your work done."

Is that OK with you Tania?"

"Perfect, Dada ji." Tania replied.

Now we ladies will prepare dinner. Tania take your Dada ji to the library."

"You stay in the library and relax. Send your Nani ji to the kitchen so that we can both prepare dinner." saying this Tania and Mr. Sharma were literally pushed out of the kitchen.

Tania sent her Nani ji to the kitchen and she went to sit on the sofa. Dada ji pulled out the chess board to play chess. Her Mamu ji joined him. Soon both the men were engrossed in an interesting game of chess.

Tania watched both the men playing chess and got bored so she went over to take a book from the bookshelf to read. As she was going through the books, she saw a comic book and thought to read that.

As she looked closely at this comic book, she found that it was an old one belonging to her. What was it doing here?

She went back to the sofa and started to read it. The two men did not notice as they were too busy in their game.

Tania saw that a few of the words on each page had been encircled. She thought it was a mystry solving case that her father had made for her. So, she got a pen from the pen stand and started to write the circled words. She simultaneously read the comic book. By the time she finished the book she had all the word written down. She put that paper in the fold of her mobile. She would solve the riddle when she went to her room after dinner.

She then heard voices, and brought herself back to the present from her thoughts.

"Where had Tania and you disappeared to in the afternoon?" Her Mamu ji was asking her Dada ji.

"Nowhere in particular, Tania wanted to go to her University and I tagged along to see it. She went to do her work leaving me in the canteen to drink a few cups of tea."

"Waiting was not so bad. I enjoyed listening to the chit chat of the younger generation. Though I could not understand all of their conversation."

"I mentioned this to Tania when she came to call me at the canteen, so on the way back she got me some help books to understand and converse in Russian."

Soon the table was set and everyone was called for dinner. Thereafter coffee and then all went upstairs to their respective rooms.
