Chapter 3596 Slaying

Chapter 3596 Slaying

My expression turned serious, seeing the huge change in the attack, but I was not unprepared.

I have been expecting an attack like that from them. These two had entered the temple and survived, which more than half didn't.

This means they are not weaklings, and I am not either.

The runes inside me lit up radiant, and I became so fast that it surprised both Grimms, but they reacted instantly and controlled their huge halberd to go after me.

The speed of their halberds is a little faster than me, and they are catching up. So, a few more formations lit up and my path became a zigzag.

Many natives and Grimms fighting around us, begin to run away further, which is wise. These halberds are dangerous and turn everything; they pa.s.s by into dust.

"Give up, native. You will never be able to outrun our attacks," said the first Hogman. "Tell me that, after you kill me!" I said back, making them angry.

They poured even more power into the attack, but its speed increased only slightly, seeing they were already using everything they had with this attack.

It is their strongest.

I am also using everything I have, but unlike them, my strength is rising by a little every second due to the strengthening essence.

I am moving around, chased by the halberds. These attacks aren't the ones I could simply take, and nor it is time to take them.

Still, running from them is hard; I am using everything I have and still struggling against them.

Not a single person coming out of the temple is simple. They are far stronger than average, more intelligent, and skillful. If not for that, they wouldn't have been able to survive those challenges.

Second after second pa.s.sed; the halberd chased me around, while all I could do was run away from them.

It is making them angry, but there is also a smile on their faces. They knew that once their halberd caught me; I will be as good as dead. Even if it didn't turn me to ashes, my conditions would be bad enough that they wouldn't have a problem dealing with me.

If they are thinking that, they are not completely right, but there are some truths in it.

So, it is imperative that I keep running till I am ready, and I nearly are a few more seconds and I will act, but these few seconds won't be easy, seeing how those b.a.s.t.a.r.ds want to crush me with their halberds.

I will not let that happen.

"b.a.s.t.a.r.d, stop running and face our attack like a man!" screamed the first Hogman, nearly the end of its patience.

"The attack is quite powerful. I don't think facing it directly is in my favor," I said, making it angry, which seemed to help it harness more power from its bloodline as I sensed the small change in it.

It is not enough to threaten me yet, but if it keeps increasing; it will be dangerous for me.

"Then it seemed like, you have left us with no choice," said the second one, speaking for the first time in several seconds.

"Do it," it said as it looked at the first Hogman, who grinned.

The next moment; two halberds flared brightly and their speed increased tremendously.

"f.u.c.k!" I cursed.

Knowing there was no way, I could avoid the attack. I stopped.

They had burned the bloodline energy in their attack for the speed; it would lessen their power a little, but their speed would increase enough that, the halberds were able to catch me.

A black spear appeared in my other hand. It is the best weapon I have.

Though, nothing could be compared to my totem artifacts. I don't have two of them. I will have to use the other weapon, or one halberd will have me.

I would love to dodge one of them, but that is not going to happen, either.

The two halberds reached me in a fraction of a second and clashed against two of my weapons in two hands.

CLANNNNG CLANNNNG

The deafening clashes rang out while the bones in my body broke and my skin split. There is not an orifice that is bleeding or an internal organ that is not being injured.

As the energy cleared several seconds later. I became visible and looked like a ragged doll that was barely able to stand in the air.

"It survived!" said the first Hogman in surprise. "Then we should finish the job," said the second one, and both of them came at me.

They were cautious as both of them moved and appeared on both sides of me.

"Go to h.e.l.l, native!" screamed the first Hogman and attacked with the second. It was a powerful attack. Though, far from as powerful as those halberds, which made even the tired.

I didn't move and watched the attack with the bloodied eyes.

Soon, there was only a meter distance between the two attacks and me, when my eyes lit up and I moved.

It immediately surprised them; as I moved with a speed that was even faster, than when I was running from the halberd.

These b.a.s.t.a.r.ds should have finished me up, right after the halberds attack. That is when I was at my weakest, but they didn't.

They gave me time to activate the healing formation, and they worked wonderfully, strengthening the essence in my body.

My injuries are far from being healed, but they are healed enough that I can harness my complete strength, and that is what I am doing.

It reacted immediately and moved its halberd toward me and just when it was a couple of inches away from me, a shocking thing happened.

Its halberd slowed down suddenly. Enough that I could avoid it with my speed and appear in front of it.

Hun!

Sensing something horribly wrong, it retreats, but it is slow, while I am fast as the viper.

Puch!

My sword crushed through all its defenses before piercing its chest while it watched in horror and shock.
