Chapter 3496 Four Months

Chapter 3496 Four Months

Over four months have pa.s.sed since I entered the organization and two and a half months since my first mission.

Since then, I have done six more missions, not staying in the organization for more than a few days, before going for another mission.

In two and a half months, I had completed the quota for a whole year.

Every Sovereign and above member of Tor needs to complete five missions every year. I had completed two more of which five were the success, while the other two were inconclusive.

Like the one, I had returned from one and a half days ago.

The information we received was wrong; there was no sign of cultists in that place.

Of the five cultist cells we had raided, not a single one belonged to the cult that had captured me. That cult is an elusive one and never leave any proof behind in their facility.

Most who work for them have no knowledge of them.

I have read through every kernel of information I could get about them, and the only thing I come to understand is that if I want to find the b.a.s.t.a.r.ds, then I will have too really powerful.

All their real members are extremely powerful.

The Sky-Sovereigns and those below could only be a temporary member, who didn't know much about the cult.

Only after crossing that threshold did, one get admitted to the cult.

It didn't get me dispirited.

So, what I couldn't hunt their real members? I will be happy to destroy their common facilities and temporary members in the meantime, till I gain enough strength.

I pushed the thoughts away and focused on the thing in front of me.

It is a notice, I received when I applied for the new mission. That I couldn't get another mission for the next four months.

I knew about the burnout policy, but I am still surprised by it.

I could do no mission for the next four months. This means that I will have to stay in the organization, go to the realms, or go for the experience.

I don't know what I will do and am not in a hurry to decide.

I am also feeling kind of burned out after doing mission after mission and want to think about my next step more deeply.

It is not like, I do not have any things to do.

There are tons, including my s.h.i.+ft in the hospital. My work in the alchemy and artificer department and there is also that teaching.

The organization wants me to teach; it is a standing offer, and I could accept it anytime I want, but once I did. I won't be able to leave the organization for a minimum of six months.

It is why I haven't yet accepted it.

I don't know what I will be doing a month later, but I will be doing something other than teaching.

I like teaching and have taught in the academy for years, but timing is a problem. I think I will accept this offer when I am stuck in an organization for a long period of time.

Like when I am working on something important and can't spare the time for the missions and other things.

I looked at the list of things I could do, before closing the tab and turning to the beautiful view.

For an hour and a half, I didn't do anything.

I could have gone to my core and worked, but didn't feel like it. So, I just stayed by the wall, busy in my thoughts, till it was time to leave.

I changed my clothes, before walking out of my suit and entered the teleportation gate after getting out of the building, appearing in front of the huge hospital.

I walked inside the building and soon reached the hall, with red doors, before entering inside.

It is a small hall, and there are only six patients here; four are Earth Sovereigns, while two are Sovereigns.

I am a Grade 6 healer and have a right to choose the patients I want to heal.

Every day, they would send me a huge list of patients from whom I could choose the ones I wanted. Though here not all patients were chosen by me; two were chosen by my boss.

They are still testing my healing abilities; every patient they send is kind of complex.

Some I couldn't heal within a day or don't know how to heal properly. I needed to study for days or weeks before I could find the method to heal them.

There are two patients there, that I haven't found a proper method to heal.

I know what is happening to them, but healing them is tricky considering the thing, they are suffering from.

One had a parasitic plant attached to their soul, while the other patient had come in contact with something that had started to crystalize their blood.

While I have stopped the symptoms from getting worse, healing them is another challenge, which I have yet to find a way to succeed.

I pushed the thoughts of those patients away and walked toward the first patient to my right. It is a purple-skinned man in his mid-fifties; he has four hands and a large head, which doesn't look unnatural.

As for the problem, he is suffering; it is poisoned veins.

Black veins could be seen all over his body; they were not only poisoned but also swollen.

It was not done by the cultist or any monsters but happened due to an accident. He was using a strengthening treatment when he saw his veins blackening and swelling appearing in them.

Currently, we are keeping him unconscious, and, unless necessary; I won't be waking him up.

I don't want him to suffer for things, which I could find with his meta-scan.

I looked at him for a few more seconds, before strings began to come out of my hands and begin to burrow inside him.

A minute later, his meta-scan was in front of me.

"Allergy," I said.

They have been able to find out this much and tried to heal it, but the problem is more complex than the simple allergy.

When the allergic reaction happened; the veins sucked all the energy from the solution. If he had been in the organization, the distress call would have been immediately answered and things would have gotten so worse.

Unfortunately, this Earth Sovereign was away from the organization.

I looked at the meta-scan before magnifying the veins. The things I saw made me change my expressions.

I looked at it with my clone for more than twenty minutes, before two bottles and a flower appeared in my hand, and I threw it at the formation.

Buzz!

Two and a half minutes later, the formation buzzed, and its energies released, within a few seconds, the result began to show.

The blackened veins turned pale and within half an hour; all the blackness had disappeared.

That was the easiest part; the hardest part was dealing with swelling. It had been created by absorbing a large number of energies and I will extract and neutralize them to remove the swelling.

It won't be fast or as painless as removing the blackening.
