Chapter 3397 Coffin

Chapter 3397 Coffin

I didn't move from my spot for ten minutes after they left.

I had asked Nero to check multiple times to look around before I dared to even take a breath.

I didn't want to take a risk when it came to Peak-Earth Sovereigns. Who was acting strangely?

I slowly moved toward the spot they have been and soon reached it and was quite surprised. There is not even a speck of aura; it seemed like they didn't want to leave anything behind.

"What did they do?" I asked Nero.

"They have buried something underground," he replied immediately.

"Is it deep?" I asked. "No, it is barely a meter down under," he said and jumped on the place in front of me, and a moment later, seeped into the ground.

For a second nothing happened, before finally, the earth begins to move and a hole began to form, before finally, I saw what they buried in the ground.

'Coffin?' I asked, looking square black box.

It is wooden or metallic, but dark, and there is seemed to be a figure inside. It seemed to be of the women.

Burials are common, but people do not bury the dead bodies. Instead, they bury the ashes of the person.

In this world, even bodies are not safe; many things could be done with them, people use them for many things and there is an enormous market

.

So, the people of this world burn their bodies before burying the ashes or spreading them into the ground or river, or sea.

The three Peak Sovereigns have buried the body here suspiciously for some reason, and I am not investigating it. It is above my level, and I didn't want to get into the business of others.

Strange or suspicious, I don't care.

I looked for a moment and even speak a prayer, before turning to Nero. "Make it look like we didn't touch it," I said to Nero and walked away.

"Father, she is alive," he said, and I stopped in my tracks.

"What?" I asked back in surprise.

I didn't scan the coffin. Why would I? When even Peak-Earth Sovereign didn't do it for fear of leaving the proof. It seemed awful to risk using the soul sense here, even the one laced with the forbidden power.

"Yes, she is alive, but barely. There is something inside her that is keeping her in that state," he replied, and I sighed.

I don't want to get myself into the business of the Peak Earth Sovereigns, but now there is a live person in the coffin. If I didn't same her, my consciousness wouldn't forgive me.

"Find us a safe place, Nero," I said to him and brought the coffin out of the ground with my energy, which is heavily fused with the forbidden power.

I don't want to leave any proof, either.

Half an hour later, Nero had found a place for us. I took out the abode and entered inside, taking the coffin in me.

I directly entered the practice room and sat beside the coffin.

On the way here, I scanned it with my soul sense, and I have to say. Those on Earth Sovereigns, really want this woman dead.

This coffin is a death box, and it is powerful enough to keep even the most powerful Earth Sovereign contained.

I have to unlock this death box before I could even think of healing her, and that is going to be a challenge. Considering these boxes are made to be unbreakable.

Though nothing is unbreakable, including this coffin.

"If I am right, then the control should be here," I said and pressed on the left side part of the coffin. Immediately, the upper part of the lit up, bringing a control interface to it.

'I would need a code to break it,' I thought, looking at all those runes.

I didn't have a code. I would have to first find the formation and break it for the code and then enter it.

'Why things can't be simple for once?' I asked with a sigh and a moment later. A silvery thick disc appeared in my hand; it is something I had made.

It is a precious one-use item. I succeeded in crafting after thirteen failures. I have lost many precious resources in crafting it and it is part of my emergency toolbox, and I have to use this precious thing in this coffin.

Buzz!

I sighed once again and activated it.

Flas.h.!.+

The silvery disk flew over the coffin and stayed there for three seconds, before a scanning ray came out of it and scanned the coffin, before releasing a very bright flash.

When the light disappeared, the silvery disc turned to dust, and only a tiny crystal remained.

I picked it up and seeped my soul sense inside it and immediately, hundreds of formations appeared in front of me.

This silvery disc was called a runic camera. I had designed to capture, the hidden formations.

I used a lot of forbidden power and a few grams of bubbling tar soil along with many other resources to make it and feel glad, it worked as I had designed to be.

I looked at formations before finding what I was looking for.

A moment later, I appeared at the door of my library and entered inside, where all six of my clone were present. Including the one who is working on alchemy.

I sat beside my clones and looked at the formation.

'It shouldn't take over ten hours for us to solve,' I thought. As I begin to work on breaking the formation.

All of us have different tools in our hands to make the process faster.

This formation is difficult and would have taken me days, a year ago, but now, it will only take a few hours. My knowledge of runes has taken a ma.s.sive jump in the past year, especially in the past three months.

Hours pa.s.sed, and we made progress into the formation, before finally solving it in nine hours and seven minutes.

I looked at the code in front of me before getting out.

I once again placed my hand on the control and immediately the top of the coffin lit up and a runic pad appeared.

Only unlocking the coffin. I will have access to it through control, which will enable me to open the coffin.

I begin to tap on the runes on the runic pad and in a couple of seconds. I had inserted the runes into it, before tapping on the entrance.

Buzz!

The surface shone the moment I tapped it, and the runic pad disappeared, and the control panel appeared in front of me.

I didn't move to touch it and instead studied it before. I don't want to touch the wrong b.u.t.ton and mess things up.

It took me a few seconds to understand the controls, and I begin to tap it.

Buzz!

The coffin buzzed again and the gla.s.sy gears inside begin to turn slowly, the coffin's top begin to move and finally, it moved enough that I could see the person inside.

As I saw her, a shock couldn't help but appear on my face.
