Chapter 2770 Bamboo Golems II

CLANG CLANG CLANG

The saber in my hand moved flawlessly and clashed against the arrow which was aiming for my eyes before appearing next to the one targeting my neck and clas.h.i.+ng against the one targeting my thighs; in a fraction of a second, it destroyed them.

All three arrows exploded with head, and even their shaft had splinted into pieces as I moved my saber with the mountain cleaving style.

Hun!

I had just destroyed the arrows and looked at my work when I saw the blurring movements, and in a fraction of seconds later, there were three delicate bamboo golems, each wearing a green cloak made of bamboo fiber and having a green bamboo sword in their hands.

Sup Sup Sup

All three of them appeared above me and swung their thin swords at me, and if that was enough, another round of arrows came at me, and this time, it was not simple three arrows but a barrage of tens of arrows, which kept increasing by seconds.

The challenge of the first week is supposed to be easiest, I thought as I fought these difficult opponents before two strings of hands came out of behind, each holding a short blue spear.

If it had been just three bamboo golems, the red saber would have been more than enough, but the arrows complicate things. So, for precaution, I summoned the two arts; they will deal with the arrows while I fought with three golems with a saber.

CLANG

My saber moved and clashed against all three bamboo swords at once, which I have to say posses quite a physical force despite looking light.

My attack had stopped them in their tracks while my spears destroyed the arrows, but the very next moment, they disappeared from their spot and appeared beside me, cornering me from all three sides as they attacked.

CLANG CLANG CLANG

The red saber moved like a viper and clashed against the attack of the bamboo sword, while the spears moved to defend against another barrage of arrows, which packed a lot more punch than before.

The small, calm clearing has become a battlefield, but despite our powerful moves and destructive shockwaves coming from it, the bamboo around remained fine. The constant shockwaves made the sound coming from them even more melodious.

The bamboo golems and I flashed around the opening, wanting to strike at each other weak spots, which by the way, is quite difficult.

Whoever designed these golems must be someone great; their skills are even greater than the zombie I had fought about a year ago. These golems not only fight well, but they also have amazing teamwork, not only with fighters but also with the hidden archers.

They are attacking me in such a way that will give them the optimum opportunity to strike at my weakness; this is something else.

It had been a while since I had such a challenge, so I did not hold back and began to use every move my combat style had to offer. I did not care for the score, which would be higher if I had finished them early; the only thing I cared about was fighting to my hearts content.

I even started to use the new moves of the mountain cleaving style I learned a few months ago from my art, which I have not properly able to incorporate with the saber.

So, I begin to use them more and more despite facing greater danger, as they are easily able to read the weakness of it and strike, but that is also helping me too, as I am quickly finding out my weakness and fixing them immediately.

If I had chosen the sword, the battle would have become much easier, but where is the fun in that? Also, I would not be able to learn as much as I should.

Since I have come to this place, I should take full advantage of it because even with all its danger, the challenges in this place would still pale in comparison to what we will face the moment we come out.

With its appearance, the final phase has begun, and the war will be finished in a matter of months; seeing the scale of it, we would not be able to recover if we lost this war. If some of the information we have collected is right, then we might as well get exterminated in war.

So, for the survival of my race, I need to get as much as I can from this place and hope that when I get out, there will remain something to fight for.

The Grand Lords have already said, the moment entry closed, the Grimms will start their a.s.sault, while we have kept huge forces, including half of the Grand Master and the Grand Lords. I still worry, and the reason is the troubling intelligence we have got about the Grimms.

The reason Grimms were able to produce so many powerhouses at such a quick speed, and the same reason could spell out our extermination with us unable to give anything given its power.

Still, there is a chance because the powerhouses of that level have many restrictions. If it werent for restrictions, the powerhouse of such a level would require mere minutes to wipe us all out. If it could do that, it would have done that ages ago.

I shook my head of those thoughts and focused on my battle; I have a habit of overthinking things. I should not do that while I am here; the only thing I should focus on improving myself so much that when the time comes, even if that thing comes, I will be able to stand against it.

Though that seemed impossible. So, I will focus on what is possible with my current strength; the bamboo golems.

More than two hours pa.s.sed when I finally got the chance to strike the body of the golem, and I took it without wasting even a second.

BAMMM!

My saber moved like a snake, avoiding the two bamboo sword before striking the waist of the golem hard, while sending the powerful burst of inheritance energy.

BOOOM!

A second later, the bamboo golem exploded into pieces; I did not move, instead moved toward the two golems which attacked me amidst the splitters, which are quite powerful themselves, but my armor was strong enough to handle them.

CLANG!

My saber clashed against the bamboo golem before I disappeared and appeared above the second bamboo golem and brought down my saber.

It reacted fast and even had the aid of arrows, but my spears handled them before my saber clashed against the head of the golem, avoiding the sword that came for defense.

BOOOM!

The second golem exploded into pieces, and I moved toward the third without stopping; the golem did not seem to have fear as it came at me, but it was no challenge without two, especially when I knew all its moves.

BOOOM!

My saber avoided its sword without much effort before piecing its stomach, and a moment later, it also exploded into pieces like the other two golems.
